Cold weather causes their metabolism to slow down and they can't digest their food as quickly. Their entire body slows due to this and they become easier to catch (heavy meals and a slow metabolism together makes for a fat and slow moving iguana!)

Take the time to get proper bags and wear some gloves and you won’t need to tape them. That’s animal abuse. And we seem to not care just because they’re invasive. But WE’RE the main reason they’ve invaded Florida’s ecosystem in the first place. Our ignorance. This dude is only praised online. This man definitely doesn’t represent catchers
i enjoy catching Iguana down here in Belize, central America. Especially right now during the mating season. We've had iguanas with up to 90 eggs. love it!

Great job helping the eco system cope with a species that was not designed for it. You should look into processing and packaging the meat to ship overseas.
In Australia we have Cane Toads which are slowly moving west across the top of Australia. As well as other feral pests , rabbits, foxes and feral cats (cause of many native animals being close to extinct)
Have you seen the doco where they're giving some of the Australian native species small doses of cane toad poison to teach them not to eat them. Google it, its really interesting and gives some hope that some native species will survive.

So the fact that we're so worried about these iguanas that aren't even killing native species like domesticated cats are is total BS. If you're going to kill an innocent iguana you might as well kill all the domesticated cats while you're at it.
@@mch.l.trecords9169 cat , the other white meat 👍 . Alf liked them also
He’s a sucker for taping them. We had a guy who used to bring us wild iguanas. The first time he started taping their arms and mouths he was cut. That’s unnecessary.
Same with us PEOPLE! Who is gonna do the same because we are overpopulated? Oh wait. It’s us... pandemic
Fair point
When that real cold weather comes through y'all should have got a truckload
Wow!!!!That is an amazing round-up of creatures. Get 'em all!
i enjoy catching Iguana down here in Belize, central America. Especially right now during the mating season. We've had iguanas with up to 90 eggs. love it!
Yes my belizean brother.
Keep up the good work my homies 👍🏾✊🏾
Great job guys! 🎉🎉😊
You’re doing necessary work; keep it up, these things are way out of control and are dangerous pests.
Humans are also out of control and are dangerous pests. It would be the same if they were killing off random innocent people on the streets and saying they’re invasive as an excuse
House cats are the biggest pest
They are NOT dangerous !
They will never put a dent in the population. They are only there to monetarily feed off of spineless people who think they are doing it for the good of the enviorment .
Florida also has cane toads.
@@grumpycricket where I live is too cold for them but one or two have hitched a ride down from Queensland.
Have you seen the doco where they're giving some of the Australian native species small doses of cane toad poison to teach them not to eat them. Google it, its really interesting and gives some hope that some native species will survive.
@@nikiTricoteuse thanks for the tip, will look into it.
How are rabbits causing native animals to go extinct
Nice work as always..
Blessings y'all..
Sucks is my son visiting next month near y'all.. jealous cause I wanted to come and catch with y'all once..oh well..lol
I would say golf courses are a great place to catch them. I used to work at Boca Lago golf course and they had 9 holes that were closed and the property wasn’t being maintained. I swear there were thousands of iguanas there.(some giant) There is also a housing community across the pond and I know those people can’t be happy.
Keep it up !!! Like them video!!!!
You guys are doing a great service to the community and the state. Thank you and kudos to you.
Was people faul to bring another species from another countries. You guys are the ones change the ecosistem. Shame of you people. Stop bring and buy more animal. From the story you guys are no responsable so dont do it no more.
Oh I hope iguanas overthrow Florida and kill everyone there
@@AusEditz248 🤣🤣🤣
Your never catch them all with idiots like that protecting them
The big green iguana (1.5 -2 meters) in Indonesia would have sold for 1 million rupiah or 70 $ in dollar
Iya, di pasar hewan aja yang kecil 400rb anjir di tempat gw. Di us malah hama
@@danxvh3401 jadi pengen ke us buat ambilin iguana jumbo nya wkwkwk
To bad you couldn't set up a BBQ corner stand selling Iguana Burgers. lol
Your guy quoted that four females could lay enough eggs and reproduce the same amount as you all had caught which you state is 115. I'm sure it was an over site, but each female can lay up to 60 eggs which means that only two females would be needed to equal the same number you all caught. Good caught & good Video!
that’s 120 off the streets committing crimes ok bud
DAMNN MAN LOTS OF EM!!
I don't respect idiots. Great job, keep up the great service.
I like the lady who drops them with a pellet riffle.
Requires an athletic young man to do this job. Very impressive. Thanks for a great show.
Thanks for protecting the environment

That's not protecting the environment but taking animals that were here first an removing them especially when they wasn't even on in FL to begin with. Humans make me sick.
after taped up what do you do with them after that?
Damn you guys are badass. And you get free dinners and you get paid
Killing animals is the opposite of badass.
@@AusEditz248they are highly invasive and destroy the ecosystem. They are helping the native wildlife
Nice work guys I appreciate you.
Do you ever do anything with the skins? Like wallets or something? I think an iguana skin knife sheath, or rifle sling would be hella dope! Wonder if there is a legal issue about selling products made from them though, any thoughts? Love the videos.
I wish maybe soon I’ll make some hunting accessories
At 2:07, is that someone "taking a bath" (pouring water on herself) under a bridge?
You guys are good guys.
You treat people with respect and it's nice to see.
Lmao that dude from NY complaining has zero knowledge of the Florida ecosystem
The dude from New York feeds the rats and pigeons and then complains when they shit on his car. Liberal ignorance has no limits.
Seems like it’s never ending. Couldn’t the government distribute fruit laced with birth control of some kind?
I'am Your Newest Subscriber Great Videos. Does FWC Really Pay You 500.00 Each ?
how much do you get paid for each iguana, and what do you do with them.
Column senior citizens not old people but you do a great service and that's pretty cool 👍🍺
Does the state give u money for each?
Good job. Glad we in Ontario Canada don't have this problem.
They would freeze during our winters 😂
Thanks guys I’ve been going to Florida for the past 5yrs now and can’t believe how these iguanas keep populating like this it’s unbelievable. What you do with them now
Wow, them Iguana claws and tails are no joke. My hat is off to you
Lbs for lbs better than chicken. No boiling, plucking, no poop, less to dispose of. How much meat do you get about of a 15lb iguana?
What do you guys do with all those animals?
looks like so much fun!
Got us a snake y'all!! OOoooooooo!🤣🤣
I’ll be catching some in April I’ll be in Florida
So now what do you do with them
I just to catch Em like that in El Salvador 🇸🇻 bro
Good job guys!👍
More like dozens of iguanas. Great job guys, you should always aim to do catches like that to continue decreasing their population.
The way yall just tie these things up & throw them in the back of the van 😂
Lol they all look like they're under arrest.
And they look guilty as sin. :-O
@@davewinch6029 Yeah like the flying rat-infested Cliff Swallows are that should also be excluded from the federal protection bird act that was over a fucking 100 years ago.
Shame of you people. Is no the aninal faul to end up homeless you guys pay for the baby iguanas up to $100 and trow in the streets wend they grow.
How do you store them? Can you freeze them before cooking them? Great work.
I think you guys need a national iguana festival
Thank you you guys are doing an amazing job to help keep those iguanas population down. You should put some of your recipes for iguanas up on your website. And where we can buy iguana meat
I was expecting a diminutive young man to come down out of the tree..instead....a maori warrior come down.
Must have been a big tree.
He just has a Poly tattoo he may not actually be Polynesian I think he said he's el Salvadoran. I always thought it super weird when non- Polynesians have huge Poly tattoos 😬😬🤣😂... and those tattoos are actually more like Samoan tattoo patterns than Māori tattoos :)
I live in uk, so have no idea. Have you guys done a video on how to actually prepare the meat???
Also, with homelessness so high....would you guys do cook offs to feed homeless, and show them how to prepare the meat!
If more people eat them, then that all helps in the battle!🙃
I'm from El Salvador and I don't remember catching iguanas like this. I used a slingshot and dogs. Maybe from another city or town, but it's cool though
Here in the US that would be considered inhumane and there would be a big outcry about it despite their invasive species status
Awesome job guys! It's a problem that needs to be addressed
What about using Iguana's to feed an alligator farm or some zoo animals? Would be an interesting donation.
No
I just thought that.
Iquana GOATS of the game
Sad but someone HAS TO DO THIS.
Not sad at all, it's fun
Sad ? Thia Williams grow a pair, Iguanas aren't nice either.
MrROUGHTOUGHGUY - yes they are.
