I wish that I was scuba certified 'cause I love to swim completely submerged underwater, especially in a pool. Natural diver, but don’t forget to give the cylinder a quick blast of air prior to attaching the first stage to blow out any debris, and I think you may need a new ‘O’ ring as you’re losing air or it’s not tight enough.
