Just a heads up, but keep an eye on that silage trailer. I wanted to use it quite bad when Lone Oak came out. I was using the trailer to put chaff into the silage bunker at the main farm when it started throwing a massive amount of LUA callstack errors. It dragged my FPS from 60 to 1. My log was gargantuan. You may, or may not, have issues with it, but just be prepared in case you do have an issue. It really is a nice trailer otherwise.
Okay, I've been a viewer most for the majority of my time on TH-cam, maybe uploaded a video or two for the fun of it. I've been watching this channel since July '17 and I don't see why you worry so much about what your subscribers don't like when it's not a vast majority of them? You are a genuinely good TH-camr, Daggerwin - You don't have to please everyone, you don't have to worry about the minority naysayers. Just be yourself, man! You have a good personality and everybody here loves you. (Though to be honest, the drinking game on when you constantly repeat a word is pretty funny, let's just hope everyone is drinking water - because damn do you repeat words a lot sometimes! Doesn't bother me though~ I'd do it too XD)
Dagwin, take Nick's solid advice. He is absolutely right. People like you for whom you are. Be yourself. You cannot please everyone and I have seen many TH-camrs fail by working themselves into the ground seeking an unachievable 'holy grail' of an 100% satisfied audience. You would rather have 500k subs of engaged watchers than 1m people who don't give a flying wotsit about you or your channel.

As you are having issues with unloading and the big x hopper filling too quickly, might I suggest a smaller header. It would improve the fluidity of the operation as you wouldn’t be paying someone to sit still and you could unload on the go
Just a suggestion. AIVehicleExtension has a couple of settings, AI Vehicle Mode (circle) and Active Side. You enable circle mode and set the active side to your unload side, the worker will go around the field, keeping the augur pointing away from the crop so you don't have to worry about driving into the crop or moving the harvester around to unload.

Nice equipment. Personally I prefer using 2 big trailers, regular Big X can pull its own 70k liters trailer, and while is doing that, I unload the filled trailer into the bunker, then swap the trailers. Very efficient and i can use a worker to do the cutting.
Top right of the glance mod shows you fill and compaction levels for the silage. It will also show the slurry and manure when you're in the correct area.
I do love the Krone Big M. Just like I love the Claas and John Deere versions of this machine, I mean of course their real life counterparts since I don't think a mod has been made to replicate the Claas or John Deere ones in game. Would definitely be a cool mod to have for FS though.
Dagger, brilliant content and editing. Been enjoying your vids for a while now. But please do something about the timelapse music. It's been hurting my ears and becoming a one second timelapse because i try and skip it. Try something with less singing blondes and more instrumental maybe?
There is a large trailer from VR (Dutch) which will take 600000 litres. It looks right but it takes something like 450 to 500 tones which is a little unrealistic. It has a moving floor and pivoting rear door so there are no tipping issues. A better truck are the MAN 8x8 for stability and braking and are shorter then the US based trucks. A convoy only goes the speed of its slowest vehicle.
daggerwin the road that goes to the sawmill also goes to the pig farm/the corn fields. itll save a little time instead of driving through the pig farm then back up the road too get to the main road.
The silver bullet addition to the Platinum version of fs 17 is the big sugarcane trailers, because they act as perfect chaser bins for silage harvesting.

Like I already said on a previous episode, you could use a feed mix station. I makes large quantities of feed for your cows and it is a lot faster then the trailed feed mixer. Daggerwin, an easy way to get a nice neat unload in the silage pit: set your cruise control to 1 mph/kph, then turn on cruise control and hit "unload here" in quick succession. the truck unloads while creeping forwards, leaving a nice neat uniform strip of silage of an even height and width. with this method, you can fill the pit with a series of nice neat uniform layers that are easy to drive over and compact! speaking of compacting, check out this evil beast of a machine: the CAT 836K Compactor: www.modsgaming.us/load/farming_simulator_2017/fs_17_forklifts_excavators/caterpillar_836k_v2_0/16-1-0-5102

Just use courseplay :)) Good for field work, transport , filling bunker , selling contents of bunker , and so on....
Yes, if you like driving the harverster more than carting, use courseplay for the carting!

I have used the BigX Cargo before but it slides when it stops working and waits to go again.
It did it for me when I was unloading it just idling. Very obnoxious. It's an awesome machine, but the mod isn't very good.

Another thing you can do for silage is use the sugarcaine dolly trialer and put it on the forage harvester.
You should bring the wheel loader over to the bga and push everything up to the back then use the 9rx to compact it

For your next series get chainsaw100 like Oakfield farm because I loved that and you could run a farm each
To fill one clamp it's about 3.3 mil litres of chaff. Takes hours to sell

One of the pits can hold about 3 or 4 million litres of chaff because I have if filled one of the pits up
The main farm one on this map can hold about 2.5 million ltrs as I filled it to 2.1 million and it was virtually full
