The clones aren't bad tools for the price, but the Smith tips are the key part where quality matters. Most relevant patents expired long ago hence the profusion of clones. One thing worth knowing is the disposable oxygen cylinders are horrendously overpriced vs a small refillable cylinder and appropriate regulator. Exchanging cylinders for refill at your local welding gas supplier is painless. I buy used oxygen cylinders then exchange those (only businesses should lease gas cylinders) since a new cylinder will merely be swapped for a full one anyway.

Good video. Learned the hard way. The fake box is so good, it appears to be the real deal. Called Smith & learned I had purchased a fake. Been going on for years. Buyer beware.
Who cares what they look like, if the cheap one works good for a while, you can buy about half a doz cheap ones for the price of the real one,, if it works, why not, if you had compared them , then this video would have been useful, as it is , well I learned that you can see different colors is all,,,
