So when you say 2048px for Retina, do you mean any screen capable of displaying more than Full HD (i.e. every other display and laptop maker) or is it locked down to just Apple products?
I tried to edit photo ARW (Raw from sony A7s2). My lightroom version 5.7.1 (just updated yesterday) didn't recognized those ARW files. I'm working on Mac Pro and I just update it for the compatibility of raw footages. Do I need a converter ?
Is there a way to select which image is used for the de-ghost option (like there was in Photoshop)?

I don't have photo merge in my Lightroom 5... where do I get it?
For some reason, I am unable to use the merge to HDR feature. The module launches but never give an update on the status bar or a preview image. Total fail so far. If anyone knows a fix I'd appreciate it.
When is LR 7 desktop coming out?
So, it's preferable to do the merging in the Library module rather than the Develop module?

Great idea LR6 wont recognise one of my hd and tells me file not found unfortunately it is the last HD with 20,000 images on it, so I re imported one file sure works fine but these files are as they were shot, I have lost every fricking LR 5.7.1 adjustment I ever made to them. So what did I do wrong? if anything.
are jpg images can also be merge using this method?
I've been using the Photomatrix plug-in for my Lightroom and real estate photos. It takes too long to export, merge and re-import the photos. I would prefer just to use the HDR photo merge through LR. Do you have a LR upgrade that does not include the cloud system? I do not need or want the cloud (CC) system. I have 2 free cloud systems already.

YAY! So I guess I don't need to use the 32 bit HDR blend method in PS anymore? This looks great, and the DNG files will probably save space over a 32 bit TIF!
John MacLean Correct. This can replace the older Merge To HDR function in Photoshop.
Adobe Photoshop Lightroom Thanks for the reply. Is this basically a 32 Bit engine, but just hidden under the hood? And I logged into my CC account on adobe.com, but I don't see where to download it, nor is it in my finder menu app. Has it just not propagated yet?

Hello, if I've taken many HDRs of the same scene, lets say an apartment and I want to merge all of my shots at once with out having to select them 3 by 3, can it be done?
no, you can start the next 3 images while the first 3 i processing, but this will require a lot of ram

Stefan Traumflieger Mac does have a control key. I can't find any keyboard shortcuts online yet for CC though, or I would have shared the PC version with you.
Can the HDR option work if i create 3 virtual copies and change the exposure in the other two copies to +1 and -1 . Will it still work ?
I don't think there's any advantage in doing that. Basically it will be a false HDR, because the dynamic range is limited to only one exposure. I believe it's better just to use the sliders to increase shadows and decrease highlights to get the same result.

Is there a list of specific applied/ignored settings? I'm curious about WB. In the old 32 Bit method, I'd adjust my WB on my normal exposure and sync it to the others, then do the merge. Is this still applicable?
Did you ever find an answer to this question? I'm curious, as well.
+Sean Fisher since posting I found the WB is adjustable in the HDR just as in the original RAW files.

now how can I export this hdr image as an .hdr file (not dng or exr) but a true .hdr file from lightroom?
Because I am no lightroom pro but when I tried it the other day, all I could do is export stupid presets to books or web or whatever, but all I wantet is to export the developed image in it's original size in a file format to my choosing and I did not find how so I gave up and just said: "meh, I have no use for lightroom than and it's useless presets"
I must say if those presets are the only way to export developed images than this software is useless to many people.
I've selected my 3 bracketed images but when I go to Photo | Photo Merge the HDR is greyed out and I can't click on it :-( I am using NEF files and have the NEF plugin installed from Nikon using Windows 10 on Lightroom Classic 8.0
Cmd and select rather than check the images. (Whatever the windows equivalent is to that)

The reason that LR 6 crashed several times a day: It was an instable conversion from the catalog 5 to 6. I did it again and now it works. I hope this will help, if anybody else has the similar problem.

Wow.. So Lightroom can finally do HDR... but I've been using Photomatix for the longest time... Adobe should just buy them out and learn a thing or two about HDR processing
Not bad !! But still not in mobile version of LR 🙁😖😖.
I clearly don't see what couldn't have been achieved from the 1st darkest exposure. Just expose to brightest, (skies) and most decent cameras like sony A7III gets shadow details no problem from a single raw.
Preview image at 10024 pixels on a non retina screen, I think you read the script wrong there darling! ;)

Bryon Lape It will not work unless your LR is updated to the most recent version. That happened to me when I tried for the first time.
Benjamin Foote Have latest. It took me awhile to figure out where LR was hiding the file.
um, good, I use Photomatix Pro 5, because of easy. but lightroom can control by hand. better :v
But the best features are useless, when the programm crashes 12 times a day.
Excellent but IMO should take a bit LONGER on what instructor is showing so one can absorb it, yes I can replay but spend a few seconds more, like on the outside local vignetting she demonstrated.
