a hack i use for this is a small claw clip. pull your ponytail up normally (a little high, but not exactly where you want) and then take a claw clip and clip under your ponytail to raise it to the height you want. hides the ponytail holder, makes your hair look fuller and longer, and can be used in conjunction with other ponytail hacks. i switch the size of the clip up for the vibe i want, bigger if i want the clip to be seen and smaller if i want it to just look like a regular ponytail. i've also done it with pigtails, gives them a fuller and more kawaii vibe (i love the look of removable pigtails on cosplay wigs and it gives that sort of look!)

Another tip that's related I was taught, if u draw a line up ur cheek bone past the top of your ear to the "crown" of your head that's the best place for a pony tail,never fails me 😊

But i guess the last bit she did - voluminising the front portion works better on smoother hair like hers or on blow dried hair. In slightly frizzy hair the crown area might need even more adjustments to not make it look messy while trying to voluminise the area

An easier way is to make half pony with the top half batch of your hair and bring up your bottom half batch of your hair and tie it with the top batch. It makes the ponytail looks like it has more volume too.
I slip two Bobby pins diagonally criss cross from one of the loops at the top of the elastic. Hopefully that makes sense, basically pinning one of the loops at the top/sides.
