I came here for yibo as I watched The Untamed but I realize the whole group is awesome. So talented. I feel regretful not knowing uniq before. I hope they would come back some day.

Same, I feel disappointed in myself not knowing them. Such talent they have but all wasted (as a group)by the company
I also discovered them through Yibo (Untamed) and fell in love with the whole group. I was (still am) devastated by Uniq’s circumstances. Knowing they probably won’t have another OT5 comeback kills me and makes me so sad. Uniq is one of the rare talented, all rounded groups. It’s really a waste if they just end like that. I also regret not knowing them when they were active. Would have stanned the shit out of them. But perhaps be even more heartbroken then when they went into hiatus.
don't think that's gonna happen since yibo is back in china now and his career will most be probably developing in China. Sign. The hiphop culture in China is not very popular so I guess he's be focusing on acting then...

For those who are curious:
-UNIQ is under Yuehua Entertainment
-the korean members, Seungyoon and Sungjoo are a trainee in YG before being under Yuehua
-this is a joint training of YG and Yeuhua, that is why UNIQ is in YG's practice room
-2013-
YG had a survival show called WIN
the participants were:
-Team A (WINNER today)
-Team B (iKON today)
-Team C (UNIQ)
-but Team C was removed because Yuehua Ent. will be debuting UNIQ first or give them training under Yuehua only.
-and yes, Winner is still the first one to debut in the three teams

So roughly at 2013-14, YG was training 3 teams to debut:
TEAM A (WINNER): MINO, JINU, HOONY, YOON, TAEHYUN
TEAM B (iKON): BI, JAY, BOBBY, SONG, JU-NE, DK
TEAM C (UNIQ): YIXUAN, WENHEN, SUNGJOO, SEUNGYOUN, YIBO
What?! For real? I didn't know that. Imagine them being in that show, and actually getting some publicity before debut, bet they would be as successful as the other teams
unmotivated fan I mean-depends in what you call success. Thing is, uniq is doing better individually then they ever did as a group. the success some of the members are having in China and seungyoun individually in Korea will earn them far more money than they ever could in a kpop group. now they’re all going solo with their fair share of individual endorsements, acting projects, variety shows etc so they don’t have to split profits like normal kpop groups. but yes if they were big internationally and in kr like winkon it would certainly be a different uniq. But then they might not have the ability to pursue their own projects and become so individually successful.
this group was not yg's. Its like a collab with yuehua ent. They sent their trainees to korea for more specialized training. They lived at the yg dorms at one point and attended school in seoul but they were never going to debut under YG.

@@Bella-po8vh Agreed. K-pop Boy groups have their own problems from lack of individuality allowed to the Aegyo culture. Also, financial issues and insane work schedules. I think they all faired better pursuing their solo careers. Maybe, Uniq could have been the next big thing. But I think it is better that all of them got to go on their solo careers in the early phase itself. In general, idol even if they feels stuck later on, they don't get the confidence to disband and completely go solo when their groups have gotten successful.

i read somewhere that they will end up being more "hip hop" because they have 3 rappers. so maybe we'll see that with their next comeback? it doesn't seem like they will be on the "falling in love" route for good.

Keiany Emira they were outsourced to YG for training purposes. Sungjoo was YG trainee 🤗
sungjoo and seungyeon were yg trainees. yg collabed with yuehua to train them. they are now under yuehua and starship for AFTER debut

@Maya Papaya yibo is main dancer and sungjoo is main vocal but dances well. Definitely recommend yibo dance videos plus sungjoo's vocal in uniq bestfriend
Not trying to start shit or anything but I think Uniq is better than both Winner and iKon when it comes to dancing (please don't kill me Incles, i'm an Incle too). I think their moves are cleaner and better executed. I'd rank them like: Unig >> (iKon = Winner). With iKon and Winner, there are times that iKon is better but there are also times that Winner is better. I think it all comes down to the choreography and the time they had for practice. All of them are such great dancers. I'm so jealous. I can't even dance for the life of me. T_T
Anyway, I think Uniq should stick to one concept. Winner and iKon have it all figure out already. I'm not saying that they can't do other concepts but, in my opinion, maybe they should stick to only one and then start experimenting but never straying far from their original concept (like from badass to suddenly cutesy). I think the badass concept fits them the best. They look comfortable doing this kind of concept tbh. The way they dance here proves it... looks so effortless..

They were trained in YG! See that studio? Its YG's famous dance studio. That is why the dancing styles were familiar *see seungyoon team b dance practice. YG was said to have been in partnership w/ yuehua(uniq's comany ). No wonder i fell in love with these talented guys too, they've got that YG swag and skills. Now I’m here watching the Untamed and my friend says that he’s in a kpop group and when she said Uniq I flipped out and now I know that the person I initially freaked out about in this video is the dude I’m watching on screen in the drama. Go Yibo!!
I was 7 years late!! I've known Yibo from The Untamed, discovered that he likes skating and a pro racer. And the most surprising discovery i made was when i watch SDC3 and discovered him possessing a great talent in dancing! Now i'm here and i can say that this group has a great caliber in dancing and singing.
