  • Dandelion Flower Bread Recipe
    2 cups flour
    2 teaspoons baking powder
    ½ teaspoon salt
    1 cup dandelion flowers*
    ¼ cup canola oil
    4 T honey
    1 egg
    1 ½ cup milk
    Combine dry ingredients in large bowel including petals
    -make sure to separate clumps of petals
    Mix milk, honey, oil, and egg in small bowel, whisk together
    Add liquid to dry mix
    -batter should be fairly wet
    Pour into buttered bread tin or muffin tin
    Back 400 degrees
    20-25 mins for muffins
    25-30 mins for bread
    *Note: to separate the flower from the green part, pinch the green part and pull the flowers off. You can wash the flowers but you want them mostly dry. If you want to clean them it would be better to take a damp towel and brush them lightly rather than immerse them in water.
    *Also, use your fingers to break up the “clumps” of flowers.
