Seasons 1&2 of The Bear was a masterpiece. Whoever edited and directed season 3 ruined it, the first episode was like all b roll clips you would expect to see peppered out through the season. i am 4 episodes in and still feel lost and have no idea what is going on, People die and we have no idea who or why. there is almost no dialogue and it feels rushed and sloppy, with no plot line or story. Every episode fells like 30 TH-cam shorts strung together winh no unifying theme or structure . Every scean feels like you are coming into the middle of a conversation that was never had. You can skip episodes 1,2,3,7 as they have no relation to the main story line. Make sure you have the remote handy because each episode has 2-3 montages that last for at least 5 min each. And at the end of t the season Nothing is resolved. I hope it gets better or I will have to scratch this off my must watch list.

Also I felt like they used waaaay too many close ups (got a bit nauseating to watch). Probably the reason why they were able to churn out this season so quick, didn’t have to worry about production costs on location etc

No, and the show is actually portraying how a work relationship like the one Sydney & Carmy have can be like similar in dynamics to a romantic one, a marriage even. They even have scenes that are written and portrayed to symbolize love making scenes (table scene in S2E9 & Carmy asking Syd to the Ever funeral in S3E9).
I’m not saying that they will actually get together romantically in the end, but their partnership is definitely the most important one in this show, hence why their communication being so off made the season feel off too.

Just saw Episode 1 of Season 3. This show has turned into art mstrbtion. Really obnoxious self-absorption. "....I thought it was the most poetic..." "...where this journey could go and where it could end...." Huh? " ... i think that communication is the theme of the 3rd season.'" Are they serious? These people sound like Kamala Harris word salad silliness. Really arrogant bunch of people.
