After being resuscitated twice, I have not been able to identify and treat my back pain. I have spent so much money on physical therapy and still no improvement. I just found this today and I think this is what I need. I'm excited to try this!

This is exactly what I needed!!!!!! Omg... 7 years of not knowing why deep breathing, coughing and yawning were causing sharp radiating pain across my back. Also, I was not able to twist properly after bathroom visits. After doing these stretches 2x daily, I still have sharp pain, but it's now pain from stretching, not pain like before. I have full mobility back and my breathing is so much better. Thank you for this video! What a huge improvement in my quality of life!

@@delilahivyjones1211I think I’m in the same boat. “Struggling” in the bathroom causes my back to tighten up 😅

This has been giving me chronic pain for 3 years. I'm an active athlete and work a physical labor job. I hope this works bc I've just been pushing through the pain lol

Yo a tight QL is usually a sign of a weak glute, the medius specifically. The QL gets chronically tight to provide the stability the medius isn’t.

Amazing. Totally missing this in my traditional barbell training (squats, deadlifts, pressing etc.

Hi, why would you stretch out an already overstretched QL? If you have a micro tear or just a tear, won’t it get worse? My left ql is wrecking havoc on my ribcage, I know it’s pulled out of alignment since it attaches to the last rib and also my lumbar and my sij. I have all trigger points. It’s taking a toll on my spine. I’ve been just trying to strengthen my weak hips also, but Everytime I do , the left ql pain gets worse. It’s a sharp pain. When the ql is jacked up it can really screw you up.

The ql is being over worked so if the core muscles like obliques abs are weak it can become tight but if the ql stuck in a position that cause it to be over work. It sounds like ql tight I wanna say you should try strengthen your core your glutes but also the other if the left ql tight strengthen right ql

Tight QL is usually compensating for a weak glute medius. The QL is jacked up attempting to provide stability to the pelvis when the medius isn’t pulling its job.

Been having QL pain for years. I’m tired of taking pain killer meds and do random stretching that can be relieved for a while only for it to come back again. I hate this chronic pain.

Sorry to hear about your chronic pain, that must be so frustrating! Have you spent time strengthening the area? May be worth diving into some strengthening further!

Great video, thanks ! What determines/when do you go from one phase to another, or when do you add the various elements?

Dependent on your symptoms, as long as symptoms are improving, it's generally ok to progress to the next level of exercise or mobility exercise!

I don’t understand the reasoning behind working an already overactive QL. Shouldn’t the focus be to find the muscles the QL is compensating for an strengthen those instead so that the QL can get a break?
