Did you watch the game? Colorado had the game won. They was winning the whole game. Arizona's first lead was the game winning field. That was with the worse line in all of college football. If they are just average they would have 8 to 9 wins this seasons.
I gotta see how the spring game look before making any predictions. I can see Carter, Miller, and Possibly Cromani leaving after the spring game. The London kid as well if they feel like they should start. I'm guessing Woods, Charlie Offerdahl, Benn Finneseth bouncing among a few others after the spring game as well. Now, the linebackers, especially middle could be a problem. Will they go with Victor Johnson at Middle, Taje McCoy has some size as well, Joshka is also big. Demouy Kennedy got in a few times, but like Jeremiah Brown, needs to add size. To man the middle in a 3-3 or 3-4 you probably want your guys to at least be 235 pounds. That's where Marvin Ham struggled last year and was benched. Marvin had the tendency to run around blocks creating massive holes. Or get blocked out of the picture as he was too light. Bentley looked horrible initially, but when he got comfortable, he ended up leading the team in tackles. So I'm expecting growing pains at the MLB and WLB positions.
Yeah at LB I totally agree with you, I played at around 225 to 235 & now im at 245 so for a 4-2-5 set up you def want agile guys who can run sideline to sideline so it will be interesting to see if they bringing in a another key guy at MLB this spring or if Johnson & others step up and control the Defense! I can see guys like Cormani right now having that fight or flight mentality starting to kick in seeing that coach prime is not going to wait for you to produce he’s going to go find guys to push you or replace you. Spring game will definitely tell a lot this year
@ThePassRushPodcast NP, Woods can play LB but he needs to add size as well. Good tackler, but had no push when engaging with a linemen. Speaking of Johnson, he's 6'5 235, he could bump down to DE in their 4-2-5 set, and back up to linebacker in their 3-3-5 set. Taij McCoy is 6'3 235, he could thump down the middle as well. One of the problems with the Buffs run defense was linebackers getting caught up in the wave. Blocked out of the picture, or not being able to get off blocks. I think they were too small last year. Coach Kelly made some nice adjustments to limit their exposure. He started having the D-Line in a tight formation to keep the guards off the LBs. This limited their pass rush opportunities, but was the right adjustment to help out the running game.
@Dayoungindex He needs to work on speed, tackling (the entire secondary) and add size without losing athletic abilities. I like Cromani over Breadlove, Carter, and Cooper. Carter should move to Safety as he's stiff. The issue is the new guy. If the new guy is faster than Cooper, quicker than Carter, more skilled than Breadlove, and can tackle better than Cromani. Do you start him over Cromani? If so, does Cromani leave? I think he does if this scenario plays out during the spring.
