    Your brighid’s bride is actually called a brat Bríd - meaning brigids mantle. It is usually green or blue and is placed out overnight on Imbolc to be soaked by rain or dew - I dip mine in Brighid’s well at Kildare. It’s used for fever and childhood illnesses as well as labouring women.
