I am a Farsi-speaker from Afghanistan and we are used to listening to Hindi and Urdu songs, I personally love Nasrat Fateh Ali Khan. Politically we know that the relation between Afghanistan and Pakistan has not been the best, and Pakistan has caused Afghanistan much trouble. But when musicians take initiative to sing in one anothers languages then for a while you just forget all conflicts and your heart is filled with reconciliation and love. Coke Studio has other songs like this created in Pakistan mainly by Pakistani artists, you could try "Bibi Sanam" by the same singer. Try listening to Rostam Mirlashari's music, he's a Baloch singer. I remember listening to this on my old Sony TV during long summer evenings and sometimes randomly on weekends. I remember introducing this song to my friends when I joined the university several years later and we would listen to it in hostels. Everyone loved this song then, and now almost a decade and a half later I am still listening to this song. It reminds me of all the memories I have with this song. Just listened to the Coke Studio Season 2 and Season 3 songs from which I got hooked onto the Coke Studio Pakistan songs. This was one of my favourite songs. It did not matter that I did not understand the lyrics. The tune was just so lilting and beautiful and Zeb and Haniya were fabulous. So great listening to them again. Magical.

I may be listening to this song after 4 years but it is just awesome! I just can't stop myself playing it again and again! Music has only one language, which is MUSIC! I am from India - and Rohail Hyatt is absolutely brilliant -I remember now, though Coke Studio India Season 1 was happening on one end- it just couldnt mesmerize me.I was listening to Pak Coke Studio Season 1 on the other side. COKE STUDIO INDIA SEASON 2 - WAS JUST ANOTHER LEVEL - IT JUST TOOK OFF and now forever listening to SEASON2 India.

Though the song/track is almost 5 minutes, but when you listen it you feel why does it ends so quickly. Truly soulful, indeed!
I am from South India and I did not understand a word of what Haniya sang, but the feeling packed in the song is so inspiring to give life to many a lovely poem. I just read about Zeb and Haniya today in one of our dailies. Two beautiful girls from the sub-continent.

Rohail Hyatt Dari is not mixture of Farsi and Pashto. Dari is the modern dialect of Farsi language. Please guys if you don’t have information about something, don’t give wrong information.
Dari is not a mixture of Farsi and Pashto. Dari is a dialect/older version of Farsi spoken in Afghanistan.

Just listened to the Coke Studio Season 2 and Season 3 songs from which I got hooked onto the Coke Studio Pakistan songs. This was one of my favourite songs. It did not matter that I did not understand the lyrics. The tune was just so lilting and beautiful and Zeb and Haniya were fabulous. So great listening to them again. Magical.
