Made our plans today. Haul everything home on the 2nd. Wean on the 10th and ship the bigger steers out on the 11th. Then I lined up the vet to preg test on the 22nd so I can start buying feeder heifers the next week.

Hi Bryce. Stuff sure changes. We are now farming four places that use to have families on them. Long gone now. The bus I rode on as a kid had 45 kids on it. The same route has about 10 now, 5 are from one family.
@@brycewiborg8095 yep I graduated with 66 out of our town. A big class is 25 now when my kids went through the same school. Mostly town kids too. When I went through it was almost 50/50 town and farm kids.

I know some of it was only a few hundred dollars an acre in the 1990s.. because it wasn't zoned to be developed. And developers then, were buddies with the county.. most rezoned and split into tiny lots, for the price of the building permits...
Nice trip, but sad to see, if everything gets developed☹. Here it's even worse. In the smallest corner they build a house🙄! At least it's weekend now till tuesday, lol😁. Good evening Ed. Yeah it's crazy how the cities keep sprawling out. I live about 45 miles SE of Kearney. It keeps growing and so is Grand Island to the east and we won't talk about Lincoln and Omaha.

An illegal regional government, decided those boundaries were merely suggestions.. along with the required minimum income production on a piece of property, to be able to build a house. We can't build another house here, but If we sold it to a developer, they could plant 10 per acre 🤔 Hillsboro to the north, they say it will never cross the Tualatin River.. Newburg to the south, they say it will never cross the Chehalem Mountain range... Beaverton and Tigard are east.. and getting closer every day.. both now suburbs of Portland.. Gaston to the west, it's still small..

I miss those days. My graduation class was 78 people. They combined 3 small town schools. They are still undersized.
