These are brilliant refreshers for current pilots and a really useful insight for those thinking to taking it up. Well done Ben, keep it up. 👍👍

Rory On Air - cheers Rory, always great to get comments, especially such positive ones! I’ll keep them up!! 👍 I must have pointed 5 people to your audio video by now!

Steve Hogg - cheers Steve. It’s going well so far! I used to fly model Planes which has certainly sped up the process a little I think. But, still a lot to get through..!!!! I’ll keep posting the videos, for sure!

Ben Atkinson wow. I should have done this! I’m learning to fly gliders and also going for NPPL with great western airsports near Trowbridge. Had my first lesson at Kemble in the Eurostar but the distance is just that bit too far for me (Somerset) although I am really tempted by the syndicate scheme once I qualify. I’m about 7 hours in but think it’s going to take a while. Loving the process though. I’m learning in an AX2000 which is tricky but I figure if I can fly one of them I can fly anything. Keep in touch as would be good to share insight with a fellow pupil! Cheers.

@@BenAtkinsonVideos It helps for sure. I've flown simulators for several thousand hours over the years, as well as flying RC fixed/rotary wing for a good decade. I don't mean to come across arrogant, but it has helped me considerably and I'm ahead of the game according to my instructor. It's nice to hear those compliments, but I know just how far I've got to go yet! :)

Its nice to see a style of aviation video that features your narration. I'm never happy enough with my voice overs to attempt anything like this :-)

Great video again, great coverage and quality, really useful to all viewers.
    Some questions, if I may?
Does the Skyranger have a heater as the pair of you look well wrapped up LOL! (I've heard they're a bit drafty around the doors?)?
Does the Skyranger require rudder only in right banks, or left banks too? And is the ball still centred with such steep turns?
As always it's great you've filmed these things for posterity's sake, ideal for students and those longer in the tooth too - thank you.

Pretty sure you need rudder for any turn 15° +

@@BenAtkinsonVideos Ben how do you record the audio? I am having difference training conversion from flexwing to 3 axis, learning on a C42 first and then onto our Skyranger so your videos are really appreciated. I have a GoPro 7 and would like to do the same as you so I can look back on my lessons.

dai power I’ll refer you to the excellent Rory On Air who’s done a video on this, I use the ‘recording into a separate recording device’ method, it’s reliable but does require a fairly simple audio / visual sync post flight. But I believe this will save me hours of training.

Cheers Paul. Hows your training going? Yeh they are! The videos are actually a week ahead - so next week's video is just in the edit now, more circuit work - with some interesting off and landing techniques!

It's easy to forget what even 2G feels like compared to normal 1G. God knows how fight pilots sustain 9G turns. That must really hurt.

He needs to trim cruise descent and increase the pipers throttle
