Ok when it comes to the vegemite you need to have a decent amount of butter 1st. The tail tams, bite the ends off then put it in a hot drink and suck up like a straw. Believe me it takes it to the next level!!

Its not as sharp in taste as vegemite. I like promite - is that the British equivalent? Cherry ripe always gets left behind in a box of favourites 😂

We used to melt some vanilla ice cream and put chopped up clinkers and honeycomb and reset it as dessert treat for the kids. They loved it. Glad you enjoyed some of our Aussie treats 🇦🇺🦘

I'm from Australia and the reason you not liking the vegmite is because you put to much in the toast.. you just lightly brush it on there so thinly.... and if you want the best way to eat Tim Tam you need a hot coffee and bit two corners off on the diagonal and than ive the Tim tam as a straw to drink a little of the coffee... we call it the Tim Tam slammer.... soooooooo good... hope these tips help you.. love you all ❤
As an ex pat in Aus I must admit that Tim Tams are superior to the English equivalents (ie penguins). When I arrived I was told to bite off both ends, dip it in your tea or hot chocolate and suck through it like a straw! Would love to watch you guys try that! Also, you have to guess what colour clinker it’s gonna be before you bite it! 😂
@@annweston2326 To answer your question….yes…you bite off the opposite corners either end and suck your hot milk up and mmmmm….never had a Timtam so can’t compare with them, but I have used penguins as straws since I was a kid so a good 3 decades. Oh and chocolate fingers they are good for it to 😂

Tim Tams are a copy of our penguin bars. Apparently the man who took them to Australia visited the penguin factory before taking the recipe back to the factory in Australia.
Vegemite and chokito, cherry ripe are my faves. There are also biscuits called squiggles that have clinker pieces in them and coated in chocolate, so devine. Try the Tim Tam slam
You’re supposed to suck the chocolate off the clinker first and if you have Vegemite as a snack then it’s best with cheese. Also Tim Tam slams are the best, don’t eat them all normally lol 🙏😊 🇦🇺

I much prefer penguins. Tim Tam's have a weird salty after-taste.
