- hi guys sorry its been a while coming and sorry its a long one but here it is. a house tour and me telling you all the crap that's happening in my families lives at moment. please no nasty comments I'm feeling very fragile as is. I know everyone has crap in their own lives so don't feel you have to watch this. I just wanted to produce this to get it off my chest and help connect with you lovely people more

Wow so many issues with the bungalow 😮I don’t know how you stay so calm I think the worst is leaving glass in the garden where children go that’s disgusting
Trust me it has got worse this Friday I nearly got electrocuted by a cut live wire in the garden x
Thats a crazy amount to pay a month for the bungalow. Hope that the problems can be fixed soon. My sister and brother in law privately rented for a year and had loads of issues. Environmental health at the council should be able to help

New Subscriber. I have lived in horrible rentals,but yours probably takes the cake. I am so sorry. I am unhappy myself with where I live but hearing this I suddenly feel grateful though there's plenty in my situation that needs improving. I can see why it would be hard to sleep at night. My mind wouldn't shut off.
I am wishing you well. I pray you find a new home to own. Perhaps this is an education of sorts about what to look for in prospective houses in the future. It's a horrible way to learn though and its hurting your health. I am hoping that some housing office will intervene and legally compel the landlord to do right by you.

Omg I'm so sorry to hear your story😢 surly by law when landlords rent out their properties everything got to be up to spect like gas boilers and the mould the new law that came in a while back. No way should they rent out with all these issues. And I would be so worried with that water tank outside with your little boy this is just one big nightmare for you. I would definitely go to citizens advice or even a solicitor you get first half hour free I think. I feel so sorry for you but all your health's are more important and all that in the bedrooms mould ect can do a lot of damage . Please get advice on Monday. 😢xx
Environmental health will be able to help. By law landlords must maintain the house to a suitable standard....sadly landlords can still be utter cowboys.

OMG with the money you’re having to pay in rent each month it should be stress free. I really do feel for you and I think you would be doing the right thing by going to Citizens Advice as the first step. Is it worth looking round at other places to rent as surely with the problems ongoing and the fact that you have children the agency can’t expect you to finish the tenancy contract. Hang on in there as spring and summer are just round the corner. Sending love ❤️
We signed a one year tenancy agreement and if we pull out the landlord can take us to court for the years rent x

I am really sorry to hear of all the problems you are experiencing with the house, and that work is still ongoing now as I understand it? Is this something that Shelter could help to enforce your rights as tenants and expedite a proper solution? I know that they offer telephone advice as well as face to face.
I just heard you mention CAB afer I'd commented. Were they able to help?
All they advised was to not pay rent till work was completed x

Sorry for the loss for your furry family member your dog. I could only imagine how you feel . the house is beautiful besides the mold, I pray that everything works out for you and your family cuz it is dangerous living in most situations I had to endure that in the past where I used to live but just keep having a faith something praying for you guys❤

Wow, your situation sounds similar to what ours was last year. We moved into a 4 bed house and was there for only nine months when we just could not take living there anymore and moved out. Our landlord didn't want to know, and the agency was useless when it came to trying to get anything fixed or sorted out. The final straw for us was rats in our bedroom. We were so pleased to leave that house and its mountain of problems that desperately need fixing, but our landlord does not want to do it. I really do feel for you and the whole experience really didn't do my mental health any good for a long time.

Thats not good i they get fix i know when i live other flats in the past i had lot mold.and this flat am in now i had a leak though the wall but they sorted it now but yeah know its like i want to move but i havnt fround right place yet. 😕

I just want you to know Hanna that what you and the family are going through especially you your not alone really I'm currently going through simalier things also and in November last year my big girl Prada who was 3 died in a tragic accident it hurts but there won't be storms all the time the sun will shine soon ❤❤

@@youmeandthefamily.7112 if you are renting isn’t it the responsibility of the landlord to get rid of the mold? I know it is here in the states and people need to leave the home until it’s cleared. You don’t need anymore bad things happening to you and your family so I pray for all your safety ❤️

We keep saying fir them to reduce the rent. I can't not pay it otherwise they will take it from my guarantor and cause him bad credit rating xx
Hi Hanna, so sorry to hear about all the problems with the house, I am shocked how bad things are and how much rent you are having to pay for a property that is clearly dangerous for you all to be in. I hope that you can get some help from Citizens advice, the property management firm sounds useless too. Fingers crossed that you are able to save enough to buy your own house next year. Oh Hannah it’s the bungalow of horrors! I was in tears to about shadow it’s a true saying they leave foot prints on your heart. I hear your concerns about the mess left behind from the rats as they carry well’s disease! Just something else to push your agent on. You poor thing I really feel for you if I win the lotto I will buy you house for you and your family. That’s a promise you don’t deserve to pay that amount monthly to be so un safe for your family. What an absolutely charming house you have, problems and all. You’re renting? Don’t tenants have any protections in the UK. Here in the States we LOVE to sue everyone and most people would have sued already and gotten out of paying rent until all is fixed. I’m concerned about you sleeping with black mold because it can make you very ill. I had that happen over 30 years ago before we even knew what black mold was. So sorry Hannah because that is a lovely house. Thank you for sharing. Hope all is fixed soon.
There are laws ang guide lines landlords are ment to abide by but they choose not too. And if u take legal action it takes so long and costs lots x

Sounds like you have all been through the mill. Hope citizens advise can offer you some support , i wonder if the landlord would negotiate reduced rent due to all the issues. Best of luck from a fellow ASD mum 🤞

Oh Hannah, my heart just sinks for you! The amount of stress you’ve all had to endure it’s beyond terrible. I can’t believe how much you are paying for the rent and the agency just get cowboys out to patch things up. It’s absolutely shocking!… when you started talking about shadow I literally had tears in my eyes. Loosing a pet is just like loosing a person in my opinion they become family. You’ve all had to deal with so much. It’s such a shame the house has so many issues as it’s a beautiful home with a great outdoor space. I would absolutely love to see gardening videos. I just started growing my own veg last year after I lost my mum suddenly it became therapy for me so gardening videos welcome. I really do hope things start to look up soon and citizens advice are able to offer you some help and guidance. Take care xx

I'm so sorry you're experiencing all these problems. My house is nowhere near as bad, but I can understand to a degree. My landlord does the bare minimum and yet any work I want done, he expects me to have it done professionally when he is happy to leave Problems with electric wiring, similar to you, a dodgy cooker, a built in dishwasher that was thick with green mould, all the kitchen appliances are running on extension lead, the decking out the back is rotten and basically crumbling under your feet, the shed is about to collapse, water was pouring down my kitchen wall because the guttering were hanging off, I had rats in the loft when I moved in, the carpets smelt like somebody had pissed on them and my landlord expects me to do everything. He left me without a working boiler and hot water for 12 weeks and I am a 31 year old blind woman living on her own with a heart condition, epilepsy and he also felt it was acceptable for my German Shepherd guide dog to be running around getting splinters in his paws from the decking.
I am so sorry gor all the crap you are dealing with. This is why I was reluctant to do this video as I know there are people worse off then me xx

Wow! quite clearly the agency don’t care, the landlord is renting out a substandard property which he hasn’t a chance in hell of selling with all those problems, I hope you find somewhere else soon, and I hope the landlord gets the sort of renter he deserves, I think you’re amazing getting through each day, sending you big hugs!

The agent and landlord needs to sort out all the mould and water issues. It may be worth contracting council with regards to planning and the water. The garden needs to be safe - glass and nails is not suitable / health and safety would not be happy. This is not fair on you and the family. It may be worth contacting the local paper. Safety is so important too. The landlord needs to pay that bill too.
We thinking of going council but not sure they will care as there are worse houses then this around x

£1'700 on rent?! How are you even supposed to save for a mortgage paying that out a month; needless to say all the other bills and expanses 😮
I know hunny. We are not saving very much at all. Thank god the rent was really low in last house so we was able to save a some money for deposit
@youmeandthefamily.7112 I've just watched your recent DITL (which was great for a first timer!) and you mentioned that your landlord has suspended the rent, which is great if you can hold out for a few more months to boost your savings for your mortgage. Hopefully as we're heading to warmer weather, the mould situation will improve as you can have the windows open more. Good luck to you all, my lovely. I have a 4yr with ASD and it's hard with just one, you're incredible to parent 4 children with it plus manage your own ill health. Incredible Mama x

It is legal to charge you for the electricity used by tradespeople? Rat feaces are a health and hygiene hazard, not good with kids.

It is just not right. You must be afraid to open a door and find mold, and also afraid not to open the door and the stuff inside will be ruined. Hannah also look at Shelter. It explains all the steps on how to take action against your landlord or agent. You have every right to do this and to also write a letter to the council and give them reason(s) why you need to be classed as emergency housing.

What is your Landlord doing about the damp etc. It must be awful for you all.
They got builders round. Fitted drains but then found out drains ain't connect to any underground drains. So now new builders says more flooring needs digging up and undo all the other builders work lol x

I went to the environmental services at the council my lovely and they came out to look at the property and they were able to document everything wrong with the property, and the landlord has to pull his finger out his arsehole. It might be an idea to try them as well as citizens advice And possibly your GP. Everything is going to help but if that doesn't make a difference, I know it's not the best thing, but have you considered going to your local paper. When I threatened to do that with my landlord he also jumped out of his skin and got a couple of bits done. XX

Your landlord and agency are slumlords preying on individuals and their families. The inside and outside of the house is a safety and health hazard. Contact an attorney and sue the slumlords. Who knows what other families are living with similar conditions that go through that agency. The agency and landlady should be ashamed of themselves.
