Completely agree, i havent gotten to test him out (cuz hes not out on global smh) but it seems like pvp is definitely purg meli and then pve is very dependent on the content ur doing. OG demon its traitor, demonic beasts its pretty much equal and general pve its the new meli so ya i think its pretty even in that regard. Both units are great lol sad that u cant run them together cuz they are both melis lol
They did well by Tmeli imo. If you pull the new one you can use him and pop off, if you don't have him for whatever reason and still have the old one then you can still do everything just fine.
I think T meli is better for the people who don't have high CC box because the damage reduction for all the team is crazy but with damage cap being a thing there is no difference because both will be hitting constantly so the only difference here is pvp which new meli is better in it after all he's newer character and doesn't need much of building up like how T meli is over all having them both with The U1 is basically winning the game

I've been running Purgatory Mel, Berserk Estarossa, and Rimuru. And then the new Escanor in the back. I know Rimuru isn't demon, so it doesn't count for the damage reduction. But he just slaps with the single target lol
I definitely agree, he's still my personal fav meli but his demon ally damage reduction isn't super useful outside of pvp aside from it benefitting him and fest esta if you have him. unfortunately the best support/buffer for the demon team is most likely ominous nebula zeldris whos passive only takes effect in pvp, You could run sigurd but remember his holy relic only works in pvp too and he kinda needs that to really shine. so demon team in pve just isn't as viable as in pvp.
In summary, they are both great of what they do. Purgatory Meli is more self reliant on his own due to his own cleanse and atk buff T.Meli is more team efficient to work on building his passive PVP (P. Meli) Raids - (T. Meli) Demonic Beasts Bird(Equal) Deer(Equal; they can still be used… just not as efficiently) Dogs (P. Meli)
pvp rule of same character with: traitor, purgatory and assault.... escanor the one, escanor ultimate and green escanor or red, that week gonna be EPIC XDDDD.
They're both as busted as one another whilst also covering certain content better than each other. Purg Meli for me is better in PvP, he has more fluidity in his build and easily has the power to carry or even solo matches as we saw in your 1v4 PvP showcase. His 20% damage reduction on demon allies is also fantastic and he really rounds out the demon team in my opinion, especially if you run him Hp/def with tarmiel link, he becomes nigh unkillable. He also does amazing in PvE however Traitor Meli I would consider better in certain areas such as death match. His team wide damage reduction regardless of race is super useful and when properly built up he can unleash huge numbers, however he does take a little longer to set up perfectly, unlike Purg Meli who can be set up fully in 1-2 turns and keep rotating in and out of true magic if played right. I love both their ultimates too, however I think Purg Melis ult has that edge over Traitors as it has it ignores the entire enemy teams crit resistance and crit defence (if I'm wrong please tell me, I can't remember off the top of my head) and also provides the damage reduction to Meli on the next attack he recieves (like fest merlins passive). Traitors ult is great as it can still deal amazing aoe damage and the debuffs are extremely useful. So In short, they're both extremely busted and can cover certain areas better than each other, but if I had to choose to keep one of them then I'd pick Purg Meli as I do like his flexibility and playstyle more, Can't wait to *hopefully* get him to 3/6 by the end of the first rotation, can definitely reach 2/6.
Man i am lucky i went deep into escanor banner cause i got him first multi and managed to get escanor to 3/6 along with traitor meli and elizabeth light. And today i got purgatory meli from the 10 tickets and i cant seem to get what meli to use cause my team dosent have many debuffers only green gowther

Purgatory Meli is for sure better overall, doesn't mean Traitor is terrible tho. U can still use him but it's not like there's any insanely difficult PvE content beside Demonic beast and OGD (if u use anything beside a green team for bellmoth you're a psychopath).

Traitor Meliodas is definitely more F2P friendly since most F2P’s will most likely get like 1 or 2/6 Purgatory Meliodas and his passive does get better with more dupes which is stupid imo. But with that in mind, PvP wise, Purgatory Meliodas is def better but Traitor Meliodas has more damage potential for more pve content if you can prepare the buffs

10 buffs seems pretty busted that’s a whole 50 percent 😂 still though compared to some of the newer units now that doesn’t seem like to bad of an idea
