One of my home towns. Born & raised: San Francisco, San Jose, Central Coast. Bubble Gum Alley is an icon. It is where those who graduate put their mark......in gum......a long standing tradition........My gum is there as well. 😎
My husband and I discovered the Madonna Inn fifty years ago on our honeymoon. The hotel is fantastic. Our favorite rooms are the rock rooms. But we have stayed there many times. The food is wonderful and the nightlife in the wine cellar is perfect. But you must take a walk in the hidden garden.
Ive worked at Madonna quite a bit doing Lighting/audio for their events. Its an awesome place. They have a ton of different suites all with different themes. All very intricate and unique in their own cool ways. Highly recommend staying there and trying to get one of those rooms
It’s a super short walk, don’t know if I’d call it a “trail” it’s right in the middle of downtown. You’ll find it where Chorro st and Broad st cross. Next to the mission.
Grew up in SLO still local, fyi the art museum should not be on the list hahaha creek has bums and isn't very sanitary, instead of art museum drive Perfumo Canyon starting from SLO and stop at the Apple Farm pick ur own apples and is worth it, instead of creek go get some Firestone Grill or right across street Woodstock's Pizza both restaurants are legendary u won't be disappointed! Not making fun of u my brotha but the art museum tho 😂 I can't ....great video tho 👏🏽
I lived in SLO during my college years and I still haven’t had any pizza that lived up to Woodstock pizza. It’s the best! I would also add sandwiches from Gus’s Grocery to the list. My husband and I still stop to pick up a Gus’s sandwich when passing through SLO on road trips.
There used to be a weekly TV show called "Real People" in the early 1980's. They featured, well, real people. And they once featured "Gum Alley" in San Luis Obispo. One thing they filmed was a little girl, perhaps 4 or 5 years old, pulling at a fairly fresh and still soft and gooey piece of gum making a big gum string as it stretched out and she put the end of it into her mouth.
I live in S.L.O., you got all the correct spots
My hometown! I'm so glad you liked the area! Your video is a wonderful!

Visited Morro Bay once on our way to LA from NorCal, it was amazing 😻

Madonna Inn could not be tackier. A must miss.
Embrace the tackiness
It's one of those things where once something gets bad enough, it becomes good.
Oh the gum wall is disgusting .
