Dominique

    Nice video....The JK BMS cables could have more than 0.08 R? ...I changed all the wiring of the connectors for a #18 cable and the resistance went up to .162R....will that affect, in some way, the balance of the cells?...thanks

    Ernest. Correction : 12:58 Continuous Discharge Current is 0.5C not .05C - André

    Good health :) Please tell me whether you connected the JK-B2A8S20P bms to the PC via RS458?

    Hello Ernest, this is really wonderful. Everything is meticulously detailed. I was able to initialize my 2 JKBMS JK-B2A8S-20PC with my 2 12V 280 Amp battery packs, it's great. There is just one small detail, in addition to the Bluetooth on my phone I also have the control screen. (The large model). The batteries are fully charged, but it only shows 78 percent charge. Perhaps this is normal and we will have to wait for the cycles to complete and for the battery and settings to gradually improve. If you could reassure me on this point that would be great. Many thanks again for your video, it’s great. Dominic

    Could you make a video where you connect a dc-ac inverter to the JK BMS.?

    i have 8-cell 2P4S LiFePO4 configuration, the seller says is 320ah, so with 4 in series and 2 in parallel with this 12v, i should set the ah on the bms as 640ah?

    Great stuff, can two of the 280ah with JK BMS setups be parallel to another same 280ah setup for 560ah in total. Can the JK BMS handle being paralleled

      @martinwhite418 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I think the answer you are looking for, is that if you had 2 in parallel, and let's say each bms was supplying you 200 amps to your device that could pull 400 amps, and one bms failed, your system would try to still pull 400 amps from one unit. You would need fault protection there.

    Ordered one and waiting to arrive, what software version is it?

    My BMS doesn't have "time smart sleep", is this just a function of certain models?

    • @brianolowo7
      @brianolowo7 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Probably, the one I got last year doesn't have time smart sleep, soc 100% and 0%. But the BMS I got this week has all those additions

    In my expirience BMS can't work realtime, but checked voltage periodically. So, if charging performed by high current, and protection set to 3.65, you can easy receive 3.7 on weak cell with unbalanced system, before charging MOS switched off. For save my batteries resource I select protection level to 3.55V

    Sorry to say, but one important value is set to bullshit. 'Start Balancing Voltage' you set to 3.2V. At 3.2V the BMS has no clue about the real SoC Value and will tend to make the Balancing even worse! It is widely agreed upon in the community that this value should be at least 3.4, better 3.43...3.45 V. Why? Only above 3.4V the voltage does mean anything in terms of SoC. You are right, the voltage tends to rise quickly if you charge agressively. Put your charge voltage to 3.45 x cellcount and you are fine to go! If the first cell exceeds 3.45V the Balancing will kick in and to the rest while the battery is still mildly charging, but with very low current the balancer can handle. Slight voltage differences above 3.4V don't mean a lot either in terms of SoC. If you have 10mV difference when cells are above 3.45V that means we are talking of less than 0.005C - 0.5% of capacity. But you know at 3.45V at low current the cell is 99.9% full or even more (depending on the actual current).

      3.2V can be used only during initial top balancing with BMS, later on it should be changed as you wrote

    • @brianolowo7
      @brianolowo7 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Funny how you talk about top balancing at 3.2.. to me it is just a waste and stress to a 2A balancing BMS@@piotro7096

      Hi, i'm finding it a little hard to understand your question. Are you stating the SOC of the BMS is not right? I'd go back to whom you purchased your BMS from to get their help.

    thanks for the video! but your settings are ridiculous for lifepo4. they are not destructive - but not correct either. you need to study this issue more sorry!

    you also get 97-98% of the capacity when you have UVP 2.8v and OVP at 3.49v... Just a bit healthier for your cells
