Sure it all ties back to the way she grew up, but tragic backstory isn't an automatic justification for how bad her story self acts. Similarly to Kazuichi who has good FTEs, but his story self is just "Miss Sonia"
I was literally thinking the same thing! The way the acted in the game felt so lame compared to the FTEs like Akane was just lol food and being randomly dumb when I think she should’ve developed more into a brave powerful woman who is more helpful late game. They should’ve had Sonia die because it’s be nice to see Kazuichi have an arch show more emotion and do more.
