Many times in car accidents, the SCM muscle (sternocleidomastoid) located on the side of the neck, is affected. Commonly known as whiplash muscle. As a massage therapist, I used to massage the trigger points (knots) out. These knots will appear anytime the muscle has been injured. The main thing to know is that you cannot massage this muscle right away. It takes 2 to 3 weeks before you can start the massage process. Other common muscles injured in car accidents will be the Pectoral muscles (chest area). These trigger points or knots block blood flow to the muscles and will cause the muscle to stay very tight.
I notice no one talks about their beliefs or politics or religion and we feel bad for the patients and adore the Drs. People are people and most are great.
HS can be dangerous, infections, sepsis. severe pain, AND often goes untreated and minimized by Health Care Professionals! There are ppl that have it, that aren't heavy, do not smoke, HS tunnels.
Is there some reason why British people have never heard of orthodontists? Some of you have crooked teeth which can be easily fixed. We have the technology. Misaligned teeth can cause painful problems down the line. Doesn't the NHS pay for orthodontia?
NHS only fund orthodontist work for under 16’s and there is a massive waiting list and very strict requirements (i.e. you have to have a certain level of crookedness)
It's in the culture. They actually make fun of big bright teeth. "American teeth" they call them. Teeth whitening is starting to be a thing with the younger generation but as long as the teeth are healthy, older British people don't care if they are white or straight
The NHS won’t fund orthodontic treatment unless you have e.g cleft palates/lip or other existing conditions that affect your mouth. It’s nothing to do with the culture as someone suggested. Otherwise, private dentists for orthodontic treatment costs far too much for most people to afford
