Thanks heaps man. Yours was the first video I found to fix this issue - turns out that the little wheel was cracked - I glued it back together and it's working again! Hurrah :D
I litreally havent played with this wheel sincei was a kid, i just tried tto use it and it didn't calibrate i watched this video and it fixed it for me but the calibration wheel was loose so i tapped a little bit of glue on it so it would spin with the motor and bam t works perfect. reliving my child hood now GG thanks man
The encoder wheel on my G25 cracked recently, so I bought the metal replacement parts (Encoder wheel and the internal frame, which had also cracked), but no matter what I do I have the problem where the wheel spins clockwise, then anti-clockwise, hitting both bump stops but never returns to centre, the two silver screws in the motor are tight and I've tried multiple USB ports, but problem persists and I can't find anything anywhere is solve it.
Thanks in advance. Was gonna open up my G25 but I first want to try with different settings, with/without profiler etc. But if this is gonna be the only solution I know where to look. The MOMO Force had a similar problem. The screws of the FF motor (single) came loose after some time. Fixed it by adding some rubber rings. You might wanna to that to your G25 as well so you don't have to repeat the steps in this vid again after some time.
I ended up having to open up my G25, the sensor indeed came loose. But I also had to replace the plug of the pedals. Now my G25 feels like new again, partiallly because of you. Thanks!
Hey Thx for the video, got the exact same problem with the G27 it's build the exact same way and the screws where loose, which made the whole optical-sensor unit whiggle arount!
Hi I have G27 and Wondering if u could help. So the bottom clamps which mounts the wheel to the table or rig broke everything else worked perfect . I opened up wheel, replaced the clamp but everything back as it should and now the wheel doesn't calibrate properly and I cant use it to play the game. All the buttons work in menu etc but when the wheel calibrates its stop half way.
@@arslanshafiq3750 Hi - Normally if it doesn't calibrate correctly, or looses the center when using, it has to do with that Disc for the optical sensor. If that Disc slips on the shaft of the Electric Motor, the Firmware on the wheel gets confused about where within the steering range it is. I fixed my cracked Disc like the guy in this video did: th-cam.com/video/gnGY0lLnv0A/w-d-xo.html I'm still using that G27 today and it worked fine ever since I fixed about 8 years ago. If your Disc is not crackked, broken or loose on the shaft, you should check if you had reconnected every plug inside after replacing the clamp. Edit: It could also be that the rail where the gear from the steering column runs on isn't installed correctly. see that video at 11 minutes 10 seconds: th-cam.com/video/aepgg1Fecww/w-d-xo.html
eat thanks, any ideas to prevent it from getting loose again, also also heard the gear that mounts on the motor is plastic and it gets loose from it contact with the motor, i was thinking of super gluing the screws that goes on the sensor stand if you call it then tighten the screws what do you think, nice video thank you
have you ever had an issue where you go to use the wheel and its just dead? so far Iv got it a new power suply.. no difference. and iv tryed it on my laptop and 2 pcs and it only detects the pedals. the power light is dim green and usb light bright green. iv got it in pieaces now trying to look for aproblem on the mainboard.
Helpful video, but if this is what's happening, and all you're doing is tightening that plastic assembly back down, isn't the process just going to repeat itself? If not loctite, why not put some super glue or epoxy on the screw threads? If the plastic assembly that holds the encoder disk in place NEVER gets loose, then the encoder disk would never get damaged and the thing would go on working indefinitely.
Hello .. Mine do not work the wheel so I figure out that a chip was broken . I replaced but I think motherboard also is broken . Any ideas where to find other ?? Thanks a lot
great ta video mate, this can be applied for for driving force gt as well? mine after to plug into the pc and finish the calibration it stops 45 degrees to the right and the PC thinks it is right, I need help please, cheers?
Hey there. My G27 doesn't calibrate properly, its starts calibrating but stops halfway through and the force feedback motors doesn't seem to be engaging as the wheel doesn't get heavy as it should. Can u kindly help
I fixed this issue but mine was different. It was the disc (optical encoder disc) thats inside that little black case thats on top of the motor. I made a video for those who are interested. EhYpWAmZVjQ and here is how to open the Logitech G25 bCSTOb28Ero hope this info helps someone out.

The washer you are talking about is an insulating washer so the screw doesnt ground to the board, thanks for the video on fixing this issue!
That's a very enlightening video. Thank you BluDog35. My g25's screws got loose, I fix it easily thanks to the video
My sensor wheel broke and glue does not hold it. Guess I have to buy a new tiny part but you helped me detect this issue. Thank you so much!

Not sure what I did, but taking it apart a dozen times, it seems to have just started working again

Add rubber or soft plastic rings

I don't have this wheel anymore. This video is 7 years old.
I just did this but after 5 minutes of racing around on GT5 the wheel stopped working again. I guess I'll have to open the G25 again.
I know it's an old video but has anyone had a problem with the calibration problem only after connecting the shifter
great ta video mate, this can be applied for for driving force gt as well? mine after to plug into the pc and finish the calibration it stops 45 degrees to the right and the PC thinks it is right, I need help please, cheers?
Unfortunately I have no clue. This video is pretty old and I no longer have this or any other wheels. I'm sorry.
