I miss this era so much. Funny at the time I was living it, I never thought about how special that time would be. It just was. But now I look back and realize how incredibly special it is. She set the world on fire. I'm very grateful to have witnessed her rising. Anytime she came on TV I got excited. She still rocks, but the Madonna of the 80s will always hold a special place in my heart.
You summed up my thoughts and feelings perfectly. All of this archival footage I remember as a kid. This was her at the beginning, all shiny and new, and it was wonderful. Yeah I loved blonde ambition and subsequent transformations but I will always be about the material girl and true blue.
She changed me forever…..the sheer enjoyment she brought me……80’s Madonna era for me was the best…..she’s still amazing….I will love her for as long as I breathe….cause I feel she gave me life
Madonna ruled the 80s and that girl does look like Madonna. Madonna was huge and she rose and rose to the top in 1990-2000 and now she is doing 40 yrs of her celebration 40 yrs of her music. I wonder in 2024 if she will do another album its been a while***
Its funny that people would say that, considering at the time her career blew up a lot of female artists and record companies tried to emulate her in some way
There was no one eles like her so much style and talent she owned that stage..Amazing times..I dont think these young ones today realise how massive she was back then.
This was a tour de force and performance for the ages. No wonder it captivated fans of all ages and generated the hysteria and phenomenon of Madonna Wannabe. She was the total package; she wrote most of her songs; her beauty and sex appeal was complemented by her fashion and accessories that set a trend for women and by her amazing on-stage energy, passion and dance moves. She tapped into that subliminal psyche of male and female fans with her talent and creativity that made her a pop icon. We see her grow and evolved through time-she championed women empowerment and other causes; she didn’t get hooked into drugs or alcohol and pursued physical fitness; as an iconic artist and person, she was fearless and outspoken but she remained true to herself and her causes-this often attracted criticism from the establishment-but she coped with it all, she persisted and she will remain endearing and enduring to all those who admire her.
For all of the criticism and hate that Madonna attracts, a quote from Albert Einstein comes to mind-“Great spirits have always encountered opposition from mediocre minds. The mediocre mind is incapable of understanding one who refuses to bow blindly to conventional prejudices and chooses instead to express his/her opinions courageously and honestly...”
@@MadonnandRakeLa Einstein died in 1955, but had he been around Madonna’s era, he’d most probably admire her as I do for all she’s done and achieved. She’ll always be one of the “great spirits”, a musical and cultural icon. I and perhaps millions of her fans feel lucky to have lived and experienced Madonna’s era. Her music, creative artistry and ideals will always be part of our youthful exuberance; rebellious, falling in love, and liberating ourselves from “conventional prejudices” as she did throughout her career.
@@briandubois-gilbert8182 Yes, fortunately he is not from our era. In the 21st century an Einstein is not possible, that such a brilliant mind could get ahead in a time as unhinged as ours would be as miraculous as the existence of Madonna 🤣🤣
FAST! MADONNA STOPS AT NOTHING this was the title of a magazine cover back in the days of her global astonishing success: no other female singer has had a similar impact so far.
Madonna totally raised the dance choreography standards for concerts. Most were simply just getting by with singing and some free-style dancing. Kudos to Madonna... for she was not just a talented performer, but a damn hardworking one too!!
I never paid attention to her live. I heard her early demos and her singing was truly that of a beginner , but by the time she got here she spot on. Not one the greats, but her own voice and she’s on pitch for sure. Been digging around on her beginnings and she was one ballsy woman.Came to NY to dance and became a Pop Legend. I like the 83 - 87 Era .
I remember learning all the dance routines to this tour…. And yeh again for Ciao Italia! and Blonde Ambition tours haha !! Still remember every move now - however i might struggle with he high kicks these dat hahaha ❤
It’s so funny that back then this was so shocking and risqué but when you look at it now, it feels like a very young girl playing dress up in her mother’s clothes, just having fun dancing and singing to the radio. There’s actually an innocence to early Madonna, which is probably why young teen girls identified with her, but for all the prudes who thought M was daring here… they simply weren’t ready for what came after 🤣🤣🥲
Haha. Not quite. But I love the fact the 15 year old girl they filmed ouside had a cigarette in her hand. Something that would be illegal now until she was 18 where I live. 1985 was a great time to be alive, and I was there 🙂
I just realized even at her very first Tour ever......she was already using pre-recording vocals..... Every single renditionnof Dress you Up or Holiday sound exactly the same...... I had only heard-seen the official VHS concert so far.....and it sounds exactly the same ...

I hate the people who says she can't sing, because she has been ALWAYS ABLE TO SING, AND SO MANY TIMES WHILE DANCING.

Well what can you say ? Just So much !! I’ll keep it short So glad to have Madonna past /present ❤🎉👌🏻🤩
Madonna is just Fantastic.
fantastic times, I miss this era, all was simpler and nicer, such freedom
Now she is a superstar after starting out as a dance club artist (many people never escaped the clubs to mainstream fame!)
At the time she sold an estimated 75,000 records A DAY!!!!
Wow just wow! She brings it all. It’s awe inspiring, this girl knew she had it; still amazing as ever today!
Her best era
Wow.
Tantas han pretendido superarla y ni igualarla han podido.
La reina de siempre, Madonna.

Awesome upload. So good seeing Dress You Up from different angles.

Amazing Madonna
Amazing Madonna 🌟
This footage seems a lot more raunchy than the final concert we got from Detroit - maybe she toned it down for her dad 😅
When Madonna was Madonna!
Madonna is still MADONNA, you just got stuck and didn't evolve like her.
@ITHINKDAFUCKNOTYOUTRICKASSBITC none of us got "stuck"... she's not evolving at all. It's painful to watch who she's become
Still is
She still Is.
Maybe she hasn’t reached the superstar status of a Bruce or Michael. HhhahahahhahhahahahahhahahahahahahhahahhahahahaX a zillion years

To bad they didn’t use this camera for the vhs tape , very clear quality unlike the official version , a little blurry
Actually I still have the VHS video
I wonder if it is worth anything?
Not that I would rid it
