Section 8 Homeownership voucher program eligibility requirements
· Be a current Section 8 housing choice voucher participant.
· Have income of at least $14,500 per year (although local agencies may require more)
· Be a first-time homebuyer according to HUD's definition (meaning you can't have owned a home in the last three years)
· Work at least 30 hours per week and have been employed for at least a year, unless you're elderly or have a disability.
· Participate in homebuyer education and counseling.
· Have no previous defaults on a mortgage while receiving Section 8 homeownership assistance.
· Must be able to qualify for a mortgage loan, based on the lender qualifications.
· Complete a pre-assistance homeownership and housing counseling program!
· Meet your public housing agency's rules for the program, which may include a minimum savings balance or a minimum credit score to buy a house.

I have a question about being homeless. Moved here from a different state where I was homeless for almost for 2 yrs. Looked into setting up an appt which were about a week out and money was funny. Would like to speak to someone on this urgent matter. Was told I needed to spend one night at a shelter before they could help but I remember hearing on this podcast that I could get an emergency voucher.

@@Section8Consulting I tried to set up an appt however the next appt is not until April 26. Was previously in a domestic violence shelter and I have PTSD(not a veteran) and I'm unemployed. Where I'm staying was paying weekly rent now being asked to get out again, this time I was told they will get someone to help physically throw me out. Just needing some guidance and I do have a COC card from another state. Want me out tomorrow.

Hi there can you do a video on how people get skipped on a waiting list for subsidized housing I have been witnessing that a lot where I live in Pennsylvania is there a cold or a quota that needs to be done before everything a person I mean selecting a person from the waiting list I think there's an ethical usage of managers and they're waiting list
