US based Congolese actor stars in Hollywood award winning movie

Phylicia Pearl Mpasi, a U.S. based Congolese actor was among the cast of the Color Purple, an award-winning Hollywood movie which was produced by Oprah Winfrey.
In an interview with VOA’s Roger Muntu, Mpasi says she went from making TH-cam videos in her mother’s basement to featuring in a Hollywood hit movie in three years.
