- This is my DZ302 clone motor. Eagle forged crank, Scat forged rods, ICON forged 11.5:1 pistons, AFR Enforcer heads, Scorpion rockers, Offenhauser intake, Demon 98 carbs. Made 392hp at 7600rpm. 1929 Chevy that its going in weighs 1800lbs.
That motor makes music all the way past 7000 RPM !
any chance you will share what cam you went with?
Sure, it's a Comp Cams solid flat tappet cam part number CL12-678-4. Since the engine has been in the car I've taken it to 8k numerous times without issue.
@@mechanicjack that’s very cool of you. I’m a block short of building one of these the last 3 blocks has cracks in the main webbing. But I’ve got everything to go on it. And please post video of the hot rod! I don’t see many old chevys being built. I’m building a 1930 Tudor Chevy myself but I’ve been focusing on getting the drive train done before working on the chassis. It’s all stock original atm with the stovebolt 6 in it.
Do you have Instagram I can shoot you a follow.
