  • Have Sodom and Gomorrah been found by Ron Wyatt? Is there actually evidence of the Biblical story of Sodom and Gomorrah? A thorough breakdown of the claims of Ron Wyatt, analyzed scientifically shows that his location for Sodom and Gomorrah, below Masada, are actually naturally occurring marl formations. This is Ron Wyatt debunked. The unprofessional amateur archaeologist and treasure hunter Ron Wyatt is exposed as a pseudoarchaeologist.

      The remains of Egyptian chariots *have* been found - in the *Reed* Sea.

    • @garyballard179

      @lati long
      No, the chariots weren't made entirely of wood. And yes, wood can be preserved when buried in mud or submerged in fresh or brackish water.
      And it was a multinational team of archeologists that found the evidence of a battle in a tidal lagoon. Whoever the Egyptians were chasing, they led the chariots through the lagoon, where the chariots became stuck in the mud. The Egyptians were then peppered with arrows by their quarry.

    • @garyballard179
      @garyballard179 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @lati long
      Yes, idiot, by the Hebrews, who were generally archers in the Egyptian military forces of the era, as they were second class citizens in the kingdom.
      And the chariots were in pieces, large enough to identify even though they were incomplete.
      The marshy lagoon area is a bit west of the Red Sea, in northern Egypt. The Hebrews would've then moved northeast, around the northern tip of the Red Sea and out of Egypt.
      And it most certainly wasn't a biblical group that funded the dig, as this evidence points to the bible having exaggerated the story of Moses and the Exodus.

    • @keiths41nt38
      @keiths41nt38 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@HatstandTuesday Well angels are spiritual beings. Gender does not apply to non biological entities. But nonetheless just like God the Father, the Holy Spirit are referred to masculine pronouns. They also take form of men just as the case of Lot and Sodom & gomorrah.
      The men of Sodom wanted the angels who as I said had taken human form. Lot refused and offered his daughters and then threatened to rape Lot if he doesnt't comply. Justification was because he was a foreigner plus the angels in human form. But then again just from that we see homosexual tendencies within the populace. If they were hetero they would have taken Lots offer, but even if that would have happened, the angels would still have blinded them. Since they mission was to save Lot and family. Homosexuality plus other sexual sins, mixed with inhospitality to foreigners(a primary sin/love thy neighbor), pride (another primary sin) and indifference to the needy etc was their downfall.
      Sodom and Gomorrah was a paradise full of all sins and had to be destroyed. A good article;
      answersingenesis.org/contradictions-in-the-bible/what-was-primary-sin-sodom-gomorrah/
      Any time a civilization/settlement/kingdom becomes evil to a point God can't tolerate it any longer He destroys or punishes it directly or indirectly and even ancient Israel was not exempt from this rule. This also applies now in the end times, end of days, where humanities evil and non repentance will reach to a point where God will send a strong delusion so that those who believe the lie will be damned. God the Father will allow the devil to bring the antichrist who is the most evil man, to take power globally and this is done by removing the restrainer, who is the Holy Spirit, who is humanities protective hedge from pure evil. Humanities refusal to repent and accept Jesus as Messiah, refusal to see and acknowledge the Creators prescence and existence and continual need of evidence of Gods or/and Jesus existence despite it being there; creation. So then the antichrist and false prophet will be allowed to take center stage and will mesmerise the masses through their own miracles and wonders. After all humans ask for is proof and evidence, faith is not enough.
      NB; Their is an instance of fallen angels procreating with women giving rise to nephilim/ human-angel hybrids. In genesis story of Noah.

      @MrChristianDT 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Yeah, that & the tomb of Jesus. What pisses me off, remembering being in a church that took this stuff seriously-- they will have people come on odd days to watch documentaries & reports on this "biblical find" for weeks, then when it turns out that it was either entirely unrelated to what they thought it was, or fabricated, they suddenly never speak of it again, forgetting to mention as much to their parishioners, leading entire generations of kids to grow up in the church thinking it was real, only to be incredibly confused the next time they've found the thing.
      As to Sodom & Gamorrah, I think there was a specific wierd site in the Holy Land which is not man made at all, but has always been thought of by locals as the remnants of the city. It's a stony field near the Dead Sea with odd chemistry, so under the heat of the sun, fires start underground all the time & cause the rocks to explode, carving them into odd shapes which are interpreted as people & houses. That tends to be enough for many Christians to say that's what it is, but not enough for those Creationists still looking for the damned thing, I guess.
      Generally speaking, mythologies often tend to refer to real places or spring up around odd places, it's just those of European descent lost all of that from their own cultures, destroyed most of what was related to Native cultures & have little familiarity with the lay of the land in the region all their mythology is from. Personally, I think the Iram story may have mixed with some local Canaanite stories to create Sodom & Gamorrah, as it is in the bible. But, those people are not going to just accept that a piece of common mythology is part of their history book.

      Here are some written thousands of years before the bible
      The Sumerians believed the universe consisted of a flat earth surrounded by salt water and covered by the closed dome of heaven. Every part of this cosmos was controlled by one of many divine and immortal deities. The original deity of the dome-shaped heaven was named An, while Ki controlled the earth. An and Ki gave birth to Enlil, who became the leader of the Sumerian pantheon and served as god of the air. Besides Enlil, the second generation of gods included: Inanna, goddess of warfare and female fertility; Nanna, god of the moon; and Ninurta, god of war, agriculture and wind. All of the Sumerian gods looked like humans and ate, drank, married and fought among themselves.
      According to the Sumerian story “Enki and Ninmah,” the lesser gods, burdened with the toil of creating the earth, complained to Namma, the primeval mother, about their hard work. She in turn roused her son Enki, the god of wisdom, and urged him to create a substitute to free the gods from their toil. Namma then kneaded some clay, placed it in her womb, and gave birth to the first humans.
      Enki whispers to Atrahasis to build an ark and enter it with two of every kind of animal. Atrahasis completes his mission just as the flood begins. The people cry out for help from the gods but no help is offered. Ninhursag weeps for the people and is inconsolable and the other gods also mourn but no one can stop the flood.
      Enki wasn’t too pleased when he discovered Enlil planned to wipe out the race he’d created.So he took it upon himself to warn Utnapishtim. He told Utnapishtim to construct an Ark, Utnapishtim was commanded to load the Ark up with animals. Together with his wife, he preserved life on earth when the flood was unleashed.After the waters began to recede, he released the animals to repopulate the planet. As Enlil eventually got over his outrage and granted immortality to Utnapishtim and his wife.

    Some real archaeologists did some excavation of an ancient city in Iraq. Local tradition had it that the city was Sodom. Of course it was in the wrong place if you were a biblical archaeologist. However a substantial portion of the city had been destroyed by fire and artefacts left behind in the burned houses suggested that it was a once only fire. Among the ruins were thousands of clay tablets which had records of court cases and judgements. There was no obvious evidence of the city being attacked which would account for the fire but the city was on a large oil and natural gas deposit. The theory is that an earthquake opened fracture which allowed an enormous escape of natural gas from beneath the city and this gas cloud was ignited by lamps and cooking fires instantly destroying much of the city. Now God smiting a city of judges and lawyers with fire and brimstone, (natural gas is often sulphurous) sounds much more appropriate than destroying a city full of homosexuals.

    Finding Sodom and Gommorah is like making up Hogwarts, and finding something that may resemble Hogwarts, and calling it Hogwarts while discounting the fact that Harry Potter is a work of fiction.
    It begins with the conclusion that such a thing exists, working upward to fit things into the claim, other than starting with the evidence to end up with the conclusion.

Further, what evidence do you have that I need a god to understand reality? It seems to me YOU are the one making an argument here. As such, it is tacit upon you to provide me with proof that god is required for understanding of reality.

(It's a view on reality regardless of what you say which you think is just an observation, a passive one at that). Sure you can argue for the non-existence of something. There is no difference in arguing the non-existence and arguing against the existence of it. In fact, by arguing against the existence of it, you are proving it might exist and you are just arguing against its existence.
