I’m pretty sure Moon was meant for putting kids to sleep since the Pizzaplex closes at 12 most parents don’t want their kids staying up that long. So probably leave them there with a specific bedtime while they/and any older kids/ can continue to have fun. Moon basically puts them to sleep at like- 8 or whenever the parents wanted. I headcannon Moon and Sun where originally separated and then Moon had his own separate section for nap time. I can explain more but don’t wanna waste y’all time ig.
@@goobiea i don’t have it fully figured out yet but basically only Moon got corrupted by the virus and it was really clashing with his child safety protocols so one day two kids where fighting in his nap time room and the virus made him attack one of the kids. The screaming caught the day guards and Sun’s attention and they tried to stop Moon. He ended up giving one of the guards life threatening injuries before Sun could pry him off. Moon switched and attacked Sun basically dismantling him. So they decommissioned Moon and used his parts to fix Sun but in doing so also infected Sun causing the shifting between the two. It needs some work like I said but it’s what i got for now :/

The generators should’ve been scattered outside the daycare and in the daycare theater, that way we’d get actual use out of those spaces besides being shortcuts. The surrounding doors to get out could be locked down curtesy of Vanny and there could be a hidden duffle bag or two in the play structures to incentivize the player to explore them
You have to admit that Sundrop/Moondrop's animations ae definitely the best on account of how fluidly he moves when he dives into the ball pit and then grabs you.

My Theory around Sun and Moon: Sun is basically the animatronic watching during the day, he plays with the kids and has fun with them. Most likely if his darker side had gotten Hacked, he wouldn't have known. Moon is the animatronic watching overnight, kids should be in bed at lets say 8:00, since we enter the daycare at a very late time Moon is hostile and wants to get you to bed. However there is something in the programming that makes him jumpscare you, most likely he jumpscares you then takes you to bed. This is just my theory behind Sun and Moon, it is not proven my Scott
Hopefully there is a ending where gregory reprogrammed all the animatronics in safe mode and make them trace the hacking to vanny. I excluded freddy fazbear, as he is at safe mode

It took me a few times of watching this video to noticed that it’s like Sundrop and Moondrop are separate entities not like a single animatronic with dual personalities. Because of the desk being removed, you can see Sundrop still lying on the floor when Moondrop appears and the same goes for when Sundrop falls off what’s supposed to be the desk as Moondrop is already there ready and waiting. It’s a very small detail that you would need to really focus on to see, but I thought it was very interesting.
yeah it's probably way easier to make them separate entities as I'd imagine it'd be difficult to make one model turn into another model smoothly just for one cutscene. So in the actual lore/story they're the technically the same animatronic but it's much easier from a game development stand point it's a lot easier to just make them two separate models.
Fun fact: If you come to go into the slide to get into the daycare after being banned in the moon phase, then Mapbot will stop you from entering, Barely anyone knows this

Moondrop had his old performance role (100% make believe and he never truly acted on it other than on stage), making him a villain. If Cassie said that Moondrop was one of her favorites because he soothed children, VS what you see now, that is PROOF he was in fact, hacked by the timeline. The hacking, as we can see, brought out and heightened the worst traits in animatronics. Chica was meant to promote healthy eating and the pizza, which when she was hacked, caused her to constantly want to eat. Monty was meant to act like a tough grumpy gator. Enhance that and you will get aggression, which is shown with the fact he destroyed his greenroom. Roxy was meant to always be self conscious about style, after all, she has a beauty salon. The hacking boosted the awareness on how she acts and looks, causing her to have self doubt and pushing her to be PERFECT, which is where it plays an easier role to get her to want to attack anyone to prove she is the best. That she doesn't need to be rewritten again. Sun wasn't hacked because Moon was the one that matters. Sun wasn't able to leave the daycare, making him useless. Freddy could have been hacked at one point, but failed thanks to a glitch that either happened, or Gregory caused.
