I love when you play armies that I don't want to practice against, I'll tell myself watching this should give me enough experience if I ever come up against it 😂 -Richard
Bloody hell that was a fight! Never thought so little minis would have dice rolling for so much time with resists and coming back. Great game you guys, hopefully i never encounter any of those list in a tournament, cause even if i manage to win , would be a bloodfest. Keep up the great work mates
Those blue wizard proxies are awesome! It would be so cool if the next supplement was War in the South. Could give the 2 blue wizards profiles since they were tasked with starting up an anti-Sauron resistance in the far south and east
Need a will counter to see how many combined points of will were burned in that game. Now have to take black riders against one of these for another will points sling off
I actually filmed a black riders Batrep vs the Vanquishes but had to scrap it cause of me just not knowing any rules for the Vanquishes and got so much shit wrong hahahaha -Sean
The question of whether the Nazgul count as kills if they come back afterwards is one I've had come up as well playing Contest of Champions against Necromancer LL (was running Celeborn and his Galadhrim boys). We ended up also erring on the side of 'they are killed, so it counts, even if they resurrect', but it was a little easier for us because of a couple of them actually 'died' died, which made counting those more clear cut, but yeah, by the wording of their special rule, I THINK that's how you're supposed to tally it, but that is a very good question. Haven't checked the FAQs though, so maybe they've addressed that at some point.
@@NoobsandMen yeah I do and still doesn't work lol, they just grind you out till they claim the objective. White council ll and dul-gardol need a massive rework. Very unskilful bs.
@@metascrub285 apparently a fella in their group has podiumed a few times, with the Necromancer LL. I can't see how it's any good. a handful of meh models and a leader that's incredibly expensive.
@@bobdown9092 nazguls arnt meh but sure, maybe against against a hero over 100 points but they murder regular troops like no tomorrow and unlike a regular hero army where numbers eventually beat them, nazguls are pretty much immortal and can grind you out. The necromancer isn't over costed, more like under costed, 250 points for a spell caster that has like 10 spell, 25 will that can get a free one when he cast a spell, 2 spells a turn on top of a monster star line with drain soul. Conquest creations actually did a video on the win rate of EVERY army and necromancer has the highest win rate of any hero only army.
wow thanks Nic for teaching me how to finally play those guys! after taking 3 heavy L's its nice to see a close match but in the end the necromancer taking the win! Sean please play the vanquishers more!
Nick's incredibly good at playing the necromancer, he's podiumed and won most tournaments he's taken them to. They're definitely a nuanced list to get around but once you do they can hurt! Also I'd really rather Sean not start playing vanquishers more and actually learning their rules 😂 -Liam
Nice video but I have a question... How did you cast magical spells while models were already in base contact with ennemies and therefore already engaged in a fight? In the rule book it's specified that "a model that is already Engaged in combat cannot use a Magical Power". Keep up the good content!
The vanquishers Legendary Legion allows them to cast spells even when in combat. The only spells you can't cast in combat within the Legendary Legion is, Nature's Wrath, Wrath of the Bruinen and Sorcerers Blast. -Sean
What a game! Really love to see vanquisher against fellowship of the necromancer! Am i wrong, or lot of special strikes could be done by Nick, expecially on saruman... He rolled Lots of 1s... At least while 3v1 him with dudes with sword.
WHATTTT? at 4:11 I said I'd use my free will. Then rolled a 2 and said it's not worth 2pts of might. But yes if I did get a 6 I wouldn't have gotten the will back as that only works on will from your store -Sean
Not done watching it yet, but Elrond should have been getting free resist to magic for being within 3" of Galadriel. Also, I think Keeper of the Dungeons is the only one in the evil army who can Heroic Strike. (I lie… didn’t know about the errata) Edit: Each time anyone died in combat by the leader, he should have gained a might point per scenario. That includes each time a Nazgûl died by Saruman in combat (I guess that was just once) and when the Necromancer killed Gandalf. Edit 2: just finished. Thanks for the awesome video, guys! I think Vanquishers would have won if the free resistant from magic that Galadriel gives were used.I’m also surprised Radagast or Elrond didn’t do their best spells (the Wrath’s), but still, awesome to see a close game. I just started playing Vanquishers and it’s nice to see them in action. Thanks again.
Hi there, the reason i choose to strike with the necromancer last, is it creates the oppurtunity to kill the opponent, with out even striking at him. if my opponent uses their fate to save wounds, then the necromancer only has to do one. if they don't use their fate, then they'll just die anyway. as the strikes get resolved, the opponent must fate it, or they take a wound. once i move onto the next model, that wound is now taken and you cannot come back to it.

Honestly these are probably two of the most powerful lists in the game, when played right, currently.

God I wish they would do some blue wizard stuff. It's my own little head canon that Brorgir is actually one of the blue wizards who fell to evil

Yeah I styled my hair real well aye hahaha.
If you're lucky we might have some longer ones

Could I ask where I could find the rule letting the necromancer cast twice?
Didn’t know he could and wanted to start the army
Part of the rise of the necromancer LL he gains additional rules.
It can be found in the 'Fall of the necromancer supplement'

Sadly they don't have a profile.

Yeah I think that's the right way to play it.
If they are killed you get the point even if they come back.

The guys who come back on a 50% chance eventually wore down those that don't. Somehow i'm not surprised!
Way more than 50% mate! Most the time they have to be rolling 1s to actually die, it's nuts.

What model is that for the proxy on Galadriel?
It's a wizard model from Unreleased Miniatures

The unholy resurrection starts with " if a model with unholy resurrection is slain, place a marker", which doesn't override the slain description
Yeah so would count as a kill, good to know

When striking Erlond You should aim first with Necromaner, forcing spending fate.
