That could be said about any decade: that past decades were better than the newer ones. It's nostalgia, we were younger. Once the time flies by, people remember the past with fondness, back when they were younger, had less responsibilities, had much more energy, the times of childhood and youth. Every generation experiences it. If you lived your childhood or teenager years in the 20's or 50's you would've said the same about those decades. I remember older people that were aghasted by the 90's. It's all about the time in which you experienced your most happy days. Every decade has its good things and its bad things. There are a lot of things that were worse in the 90's opposed to the 2020's, and a lot of things that were better. But, back to the topic, this is a great song, not because it's from the 90's, it's just good.
