- This is everything you need to know about Update 45 in Bloons TD 6! So the latest patch 45 brings us a brand new boss bloon in BTD6 called Blastapopulos with a bunch of unique abilities, a brand new map called Ancient Portal, a brand new game mode called Fast Track and the usual round of balance changes, so let's go through the 45.0 patch notes together!

Fun fact, if you put Geraldo on Ancient Portal and you put his turrets on the other moons, he and all the sebsequent turrets also get all the buffs from all 4 moons
Edit: It appears they patched it before launching, with good reason. However, it still holds true that whatever moon Geraldo is standing on, he passes the buffs on to his turrets.

Ancient Portal looks like a continuation of the theme of Maps being related/connected. In this case there's a resemblance to Encrypted.

@@twiosbs9182it’s a single player game with some competitive(but not PvP) modes, power creep is not a bad thing
From what I found messing around in ancient portal, the glowing tiles near the entrance charge up with ability activations, and after a certain amount the statues light up and you can click the statues to blow them up and deal damage
Edit: Ok its not abilities at all, it charges up by popping bloons on the top right of the map before the first portal. I think towers that one shot bloons or pop more layers charge it slower too
yes! I think a tile lights up for every 5000-10.000 or so bloons popped before the first portal. The number probably scales up the higher the round, too.
You have no idea how much I'm going to use the engineer paragon now. Legit that one specific thing irked me so much and now I can finally lock the green sentry in place.
I find it funny they did nothing about the blatant pointlessness of Rosalia's lv20 😂

@@olivergro7105 I was so excited for her but literally the only fun thing she had they got rid of because it was a bug.
Movement speed on planes and helis was permanent after activating the ability.
Like so what if it was permanent it LITERALLY did nothing and it made me laugh chinooking tower at light speed 😭
@@sarunotaslt I'd be happy if they got rid of the quote on quote ace and heli movement speed buff and made all engineering type towers more affective.

I legitimately didn’t even know the juggernaut had knockback, either it was ridiculously small knockback or I haven’t used it enough to notice…
definitely lack of use. you could see it before, but it didn't do much
It's one of my most used towers and I have never noticed, even though I have always been fully aware of the knockback from the bottom path dartling which I use far less often.

I miss the old ''place and forget'' Sauda. They really killed her for me with the last few changes
8:16 You mean the DoT effect. It's literally called that in the patch notes you are reading.

In my Magic Monkey’s Only game and my Hard game, on round 60 or so the totems all lit up and I clicked on the top left portal and it did some big effect but there weren’t blooms there so I couldn’t see if it dealt damage or buffed heroes or what.
Edit: It stuns all blooms on screen(I think)

this new "hard" map is funny. i did just trivialize chimps with sauda and of all towers preemptive strike. it really feels so easy when you can super buff the hero for free in the early game and the track loops that much on itself
Yeah just by looking at it, it looks like an intermediate map and then you also get hero buffs and the stun ability.
No mechanic should be put behind a paywall :(

Rosalia's level 20 ability should have been changed. Maybe something like Etienne, where now she has both her weapons permanently and her ability now just gives them a huge buff
maybe not both weapons permanently but the flight boost should be toggleable instead and the ability now makes both enhanced attacks available (as of now during flight boost only her selected weapon has the enhanced attack)
I love how NK just experiments with huge changes because if it goes wrong everyones just gonna have fun, no harm done
I think the tiles on the new map light up one by one for each round that goes by that had no bloons enter the portal. After all 5 light up, clicking the statues will damage all bloons on screen as well as stun them.

The new map has a gimmick that the statues near the first portal will charge up and detonate if you click it, i think it's charge up as the round go but im not sure
does the additional hero EXP from Fast Track account for the fact that not every hero can be played on the starting round? like i can play sauda round 1, but i can't play churchill. does it cause Geraldo's quincy figurine to increase in price? does it overstock geraldo's shop for all the items you would have theoretically been able to use? does it start corvus with mana? would hero abilities start charged or uncharged?
Geraldo wouldn't overstock and he would just have all of his items on max. His action figure will either be cheap or expensive. Corvus would not start with mana because why would he. Don't know why you need to know if hero abilities are charged or not but it would probably be like if you unlocked the ability. As for heroes you can't afford, they would probably get the xp from the round you could've bought them
@@Jesus-yo8if I'm asking because I want to know? why wouldn't corvus start with mana? you can save mana from previous rounds to have that amount of mana by that round. I'm asking about abilities because depending on the hero and the mode you might want to use that ability on the round that you get skipped to. if it didn't reset ability cooldowns then you'd be starting with a disadvantage compared to not using the skip, and I think their intention with the skip is not to give you a disadvantage
@@R1ver7th Corvus would start with 0 because it's like placing down a hero. Either that or the just give him full mana
Engi paragon basically attacks 3x slower but does 3x damage. also 5x pin duration. however, the boss damage got 5x so overall this should be a massive dps increase to bosses. it still gets the same 10% attack speed increase over 60 rounds for a total of 6x attack speed, so in theory if you get this paragon on round 60 it will have max attack speed for the tier 5
LotA price buff should make it more viable for water tower 2mpcs on waterless maps.
You can't get water towers fast enough

Pop and awe + final harmonic is viable now
i'm glad the middle path mortar finaly has a reason to crosspath with the bottom path
the ptoblem with bombs is their radius, they can never hit a track on 2 sides of them, while in lets say btd battles the big bombs, not really big bombs could on a park path like map, and the mortar could fill a large circle like figure 8. in btd6 the big one cnat even do that and in fact all their radiuses are smaller than the animation
I'm not sure if there's more to the secret on Ancient Portal. I am also u sure of how you trigger it. I think it is tied to the number of pops your towers have but could be wrong about that. But eventually the 3 monkey statues near the first portal will light up. You can click on the statues once they are charged up and I think it will damage all bloons on screen but unsure how much or if that's actually what's happening
What if you put heroes on all the 4 platforms on the new map and secret opens or something?

4 player mode with a hero on each moon will maybe trigger the secret?
i think it makes no sense for storms (literal wind) to somehow be weak to white or purples when downdraft (also wind) isnt weak to them
personally i would make leads be immune to blowback/knockback due to being heavy? (maybe wind only but maybe knockback too? not immune to freezing/other stalling tho)
in game lead and ceramic are the ‘heavy’ bloons, so they probably wouldn’t make leads immune to it as then they would also have to make ceramics immune, and then it would suck

As for the secret on the new map i accidentally triggered it while playing, those big statues starting glowing then exploded when i clicked on them, im not sure what i did to trigger it unfortunately
Mermonkey is my favorite tower but now its gonna be much harder to place her! This blows 😆

Only on PC I think. It has always happened that certain people will have to wait a few hours longer some others before getting the update, but I've never even experienced a wait remotely close to being this long just for the update to also become available for a mobile user like me.

@@YoshiAteTooManyYoshiCookies it's literally power creep incarnate it's the strongest boss and is way too overtuned, it does like 14 things at once and is not gun in the slightest
@@BlueLobster-t3w does it spawn a bunch of fortified BAD's like Bloonarius? Does it steal your buffs and heal like Lych? Does it completely disable your towers for a super long time while also speeding up other bloons like Vortex? Does it have immunities and rock bloons like Dreadbloon? Can it just jump forward and make bloons spawn further along the track like Phayze, all while having a camo property that's much harder to deal with than with a normal camo bloon?
I don't think so.
