Hey! Just wanted to clear something up about the accent of the main character of House of Cards. The main actor's accent is actually southern, not from the east coast. His accent is popular among the older generation in South Carolina which is why it sounds a bit more upper class. You won't hear young people talking like that even if their from that area. If so, as an already English speaking viewer, why are so many other languages sentence structure seemingly in reverse from English? Its like a Yoda thing going on if that makes sense. Is this the result of the translation or is it understood like that by the native speakers?

I love watching Netflix Shows and series. I think this company feels teenagers and adults also:) My favorite series at the moment is "13 Reasons Why". I watched it in original language without any subtitles just in 2 days, should be admitted that dialogues there are really understandable, characters pronunciate everything in normal speed and their voices are pretty nice. Love em. I think everyone should watch this perfect story cause it tells really important things and give a lesson how to fight with bullying and how not to give up. Parents of children also must watch it. Maybe now your children is going through bad days or bad period of life and watching this series you would understand reasons or maybe feelings which your child has now. "Suicide isn't an option" - that's the main thought of all the series and I think it's the great one! Don't waste your time start today you won't regret anyway!

the better way to learn is to watch documentaries. tv shows are silly. you get much more words in the same time and you can learn more new words about your interest. in documentaries you have a professional speaker which is speaking very clear. this is easy to understand.

Why didn't you mention DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES ? I think it should be put first in the list 'cause the series were amazing. Their speech is perfect, their vocabulary and idioms are abundant, their pronounciation is clear and sound very good. I feel like i immerse in the world of english with hilarious and nice talkings and there're so much to learn. Also, the series are truely fascinating and useful.
Seasons 1-4 was really enjoyable, but as the time went the jokes only got dumber and dumber. Today on season 11 we don't even have Sheldon's fun facts and they almost don't even mention their work anymore.

The easiest show to learn English is by far MODERN FAMILY. If you are a beginner and want to learn how to have an easy normal conversation, that’s the one to go. The episodes are based around what happens in a family and what happens in a household. So not complicated and things you will definitely use all the time. At the same time is a hilarious show, very funny and you’ll learn some American humor! ;)
