@@UN1TYMusicdunno, i kinda have to agree with him.. prices in Kotor are obscene... and he doesn't say the town is bad... i think the review is quite positive
@@bumblebeebubblegum3296 not really man,Unless you come from Africa,A pizza is €10-12 beers are €3-4 airbnb will set you back €40 a night so in comparison to other spots around its relatively affordable.Hence my disagreement.I spent 3-4x more in Croatia for basically same experience. Bosnia, Serbia and Kosovo were the cheapest Balkan countries to visit
Cool video. I was in Kotor just two weeks ago and it seemed to me tourists are just a cash cow. Although Kotor and Perast were beautiful and picturesque I certainly wouldn’t go back. From my apartment host charging me twice to a fraudulent attempted withdrawal from my bank account after my return home (My host????)and the crazy price of supermarkets, bars and restaurants, it was a constant battle to keep hold of your money. As for the parking in Perast, unfortunately, you were ripped off. I parked in exactly the same place and refused to pay the guy 10€. He soon walked away. Not to mention the fact, out of the many countries I have visited it’s the only one where there is no public transport from the airport. Only a taxi for 20-30€ for a 15 minute ride will get you to Kotor. Again, everybody working together to get every last penny out of its visitors.
thank you :) yeah, although i think the Kotor bay is beautiful, the people there are not the best representation of Montenegro.... I have to say that other places around the country were a lot better :)
I think the prices are high in most of the Balkans. Also, if you make your checks, you will realise MNE allowed China to built a very expensive bridge, that they now own debt. MNE also lost many Russian tourists following the war, so guess they need to compensate somehow. The country has a beautiful blend of Mediterranean and Balkan mountains mix. But regarding prices, we visited Budapest and the prices were far from cheap.
yeah they also financed building this big tunnel between Podgorica and the coast (which I understand is a big deal for the locals, but I still enjoyed traveling on the bumpy little mountain roads better :D ) yeah, you're right, Budapest is not cheap, neither is the neighboring Croatia, but in Kotor, the prices in the restaurants were on the level of Switzerland... that's crazy, I was in Bosnia and Herzegovina last year and it's whole other level... but as I explain in the following video, once we left the Kotor area, the prices dropped to like 1/2 or 1/3 and the food was a lot better, but still, far from cheap... Prague is cheaper and that is definitely not a cheap city... so I guess that's just the result of tourism
man this made my day :D I am happy that my knowledge of the Indonesian language went from words like goreng, nasi, mie, putih, terima kasih, selamat tinggal now incorporates also kotor... :D although i don't think I will be saying it to anyone
