Ha! I've waited years to see Roy live again. Last time I saw him play, we were at music college. That was 1990! Love how he uses Midi guitar and he can have a drink at the same time (breath controller my arse!). Roys brain has always worked at three times the speed of your avarage human. The other guys in the band are amazing, not just with their playing, but being able to keep up with the maestro!!! Hope to see you soon!
Yes the band are a great unit, the sort you want to see live. I had Roys music, but this was the first live show... had to wipe a tear of joy after watching this show. Can't wait for the release and a more extended tour, plus media coverage.
@@Truthinshredding1 Beautifully said. And I am still having to convince people that he isn't speeding his videos up! It's insane to be so good people literally do not believe you exist! lol Also, did you know that Shawn Lane was well aware of Roy before he passed? Jonas or somebody had talked about him and the Sogdiana Chamber Orchestra. The only thing I remember is Shawn saying he wanted to hear The Iron Horse releases or the guitar player from it's solo stuff because it was so fast. It took me years to put two and two together. I had no idea who Iron horse was!
I was just listening to the album Truth in Shredding. I bought it from Frank himself. This is tight. I watch Andy’s videos. Your picking is nuts. You might dig my stuff.
Fast but not Holdsworth. Noble effort but just a reminder how special the man was. Allan's on random solos have form, shape, lyrical expression, underlying harmony & melody the like of which we're unlikely to see again
Seemed like Roy was struggling big time with the chordal work in “Devil”. Also, the improv soloing left a lot to be desired. Sounded sloppy and lacked any musical direction to me. Just my opinion though.
No you dont understand what you do is post some iltra fast atonal.bullshit on you tube with a guitar tone that sounds like pacman a dozen nerds proclaim it as the fastest ever and insane and its everybody else who doesnt understand or can yet comprehend the brilliance@Andreorsel
@@LambertScalvin I appreciate it won't be to everyone's pallet, so I would expect to see comments like this. Allan Holdsworth had a similar problem with the SynthAxe, which was perceived to alienate guitar fans.
If you are not really a musician.. You cannot appreciate and understand this kind of music, This is almost jam and improvise and showing all the talent that they have... As a lead guitar jz like me,, This is out this world music that only real instrumentalis can appreciate and understand.
There's a reason Holdsworth is a legend. And it isn't just speed.
Holdsworth was a high level musician, and yes,his stuff was not about speed but musicality
I’m hypnotised. Incredible musicianship!! 👏
@@raminpartovi734 thanks for checking it out.
Wow, did not know Andy was in law of 3. Great job on Allans iconic song. ❤🎉❤ 🎸🌪🎸 🦈🌪🦈 got my subscription thank you for sharing Allan Holdsworth
Thanks for listening

will check yours out. thank you for checking out the video
Seriously talented trio.
yes, great to see new bands breaking out
Thank you so much for breathing new life into this timeless classic! I really believe Allan would love this!
Our pleasure!
This sounds like out of this world...
Super amazing.
Super high musicality here....
Excellent cover. More of this live please.
No doubt more to come after the album comes out.
🔥💙🔥 Excellent rendition, of one of my favorite songs. I got to see The Spider perform it twice.
glad you liked it
Incredible music guys!
These solos are like: What??!!
Yes, amazing player.
@@Truthinshredding1 absolutely!!
That’s really getting it ! You guys are great. thanks for sharing this.
Roy goes "off into the universe at light speed" and Andy looks over and grins like "Well then!"
You guys are the finest trio I have had the pleasure to watch.
The fast parts of the soloing is überhuman and therefore go way over my head, but the tone of the longer notes almost brings a tear to a man's eye.🥲
thanks for checking it out
Ah hell yeah, Roy is getting some attention finally
Crossroads would have had a different ending if this guy was the final boss.
😂😂😂🙌
I was about to transcribe the part starting @ 3:35...well, ok, I wasn't. Roy how are you digging the Vigier?
Superb!!!
Glad you liked it.
What....the fuck....Roy's solo...
I hope you enjoyed the performance.
Faster than the speed of light.
glad you checked it out
When I first saw him, I thought it was made by Sora.
This is beyond Shawn's ability 😂😂😂😂
two different players with two different styles

I guess it's not his tune.
It sounds like Yoko Ono on auto tune.
lol

Thanks… Thought it was just me.
just first live show for the band.
Looks and sounds like a comedy! Not any musical direction whatsoever! Just a blur of chromatic bullshit!

Almost too fast really.!
donde estas la super velocidad 😅😅😅😅😅 era solo en camara rápida allan 10000%mejor
The guitar work is just one long indistinguishable tone

Really?
Way too slow.
@@nresnik faster than I can play.
He just plays nonsense. That’s not music. Very impressive technique of fast picking and legato, but that’s about it. There’s no musicianship at all.
it's the last song of the set.

Drums are so annoying
