@Loy Dollhouse How long have you been creating minis? Kit Bashing was used by miniaturists in the '70's and '80's, and I have enjoyed the creativity involved in it.
@@LoyDollhouse Yes, that is correct. I have been a miniaturist since the '70's. The miniature community was much closer than it is today. There was a big difference in sharing and learning. Technology, although good, can separate us all.
@@SouthernBelleReviews It must be the generation. Why would anyone think that "kit bashing" would be, or sound, disrespectful? Our miniature artisans always thought it was humorous. Different mentality.
I like how you did your vanity it's cute my dresser is like that my long dresser has a little drawer on top just like your vanity does but has little mirrors on the side too so it looks almost identical to my dresser that is cute with little vanity
Oh it was very scary watching you cut the table! I almost took of my finger Jan 3rd 2001 WHEN THE SAW SKIPPED AND JUMPED OUT OF MITER BOX! It had to be sown back on and to this date I can't feel that finger. My boyfriend glued a cutting board with a 4 inch over hang to my craft table and bought me 4 good clamps at Home Depot! I now have clamps that hold down my wood and I can keep my fingers away from saws!
I’m sorry but the drawer facing on the mirror frame looks kinda awkward to me. It did turn out nice. I just think I’d leave the extra drawer part off. Thanks for sharing your ideas.
I have that DT table. I painted it white and used pink and green pen to draw flowers.
I love watching you and the great ideas you come up with
Glad you like them!
You are soooo Talented! I am so grateful to be able to see all the projects you do. U have inspired me so much. What a gift u have💯❤️
Oh Suzanne King. Comments such as your keep me going.
There is a mirror-like flexible material sold in packs with several sheets at the WalMart car section, if you wish for more realistic mirrors.
Thanks, I will keep an eye for that material.
You are such a joy to watch. I absolutely love all of your projects and ideas.
You are kind in your words. Thank you!
So cute! Could also be altered for a treadle sewing machine, or a desk for a study.
Yes, you have vision. The sewing machine sounds very interesting.
Another option for mirrors is to remove the little mirrors from old make up. Of course getting the right size/shape could be a little tricky.
I have stayed away from cutting glass for now.
@@LoyDollhouse I’ve just started, and I don’t really have the hang of it yet. Even with the glass cutter I bought it’s not easy.
What a great idea to use that table. Nice job on it. Take care.
An easy transformation
Wonderful, thank you for sharing.
Our pleasure!
Very pretty vanity. Love the marker "stain"! Thank you, LOY!
You are so welcome!
Hola! Muy bonito. Te felicito! Qué hermoso momento ese en que terminas el mueble o la pieza y lo colocas en su lugar dentro de la casa!!!!
De acuerdo, es bonito ver la labor completa.

A form of 'kit bashing'! Love it!
This is a new term for me. Thanks

What is kit bashing? Sounds disrespectful.

That is scary. I do hope that your finger heals all the way. One must be careful at all times even with these little things.

I understand but, I used it for support of the mirror as I didn't want to add wood to the back.
I wonder if the Dremel would cut the table easier.
I did try it but it splintered the wood.
@@LoyDollhouse Oh. Well thanks for letting me know.
Wonderful job!!! Are you on FB or IG?
I do have an IG account under Loy dollhouse but I rarely post there.
