Another great video! The Eclipse class has really grown on me. If its quantums could track small ships a bit better, I could see it taking out 9 Defiants in MVAM.
Hey Admiral.. hope you are doing well also, 😳oh gosh, Defiant 2.0.. oh my.. lol. Think Ent G will ''Eclipse'' the Valiant eeh .. sorry I know and sorry Dylan..lol. I think in one the Ent G is better, separate hmm But would have been awesome seeing it on screen gosh.. 😊Awh Q, and his snapping fingers lol.. 🤔😂lol.. Saffi.. she loves the saucer section .. oh gosh.. imagine both ships on screen against enemies.. gosh.. Both ships are incredible and tough.. love the battle Admiral.. Well done!!!😊🖖
Good, I was about to ask the specs. Eclipse vs. Defiant 2. I would guess at least 4... possibly 6. Yep, the answer is at least 4. Those Eclipse phasers are incredible. They're almost as powerful as the phaser lance. 😀 (when concentrated) Wow, multi-vector took out 7! Poor thunderbird... it should have just run.😆
What is more effective, multi vector or multi targeting? If you want to crash the game in a fun way, make a ship that does both multi targeting and multi vector. Give it lots and lots of very slow torpedoes that take forever to reach their targets.
The Defiant and it's descendants are an exception to the sweet spot rule, because they tend to be small, fast and punch way above their class; making it hard for the bigger ships to fight them. I am surprised The Enterprise G was able to take on an additional four more, using Multi-Vector. Speaking of which, the general rule is to separate before going into weapons range, for maximum effect. I've seen MSR-1701 do it mid-battle, but not in a "How Many" video like this one.
I really like the Eclipse class but it has criticisms. It would be better if it just saucer separated and didn't have that silly little fighter. If that fighter was replaced with a quantum torpedo turret it would give the saucer section more bite. Also I've noticed you like to fire off your quantum torpedoes at pretty far ranges and that makes them miss ships most of the time. It seems with quantum's their best max range is 15 km's, 10km's if fighting something the size of the defiant or dominion attack craft.
Eclipse class SSD is 17 km long and can one shot an entire continent. I know we Trek nerds love pointing out the devils in the details, but at some point we just gotta be realistic.
The funiest answer, and thus the best answer would be that it takes multiple enterprise G's to destroy 1 defiant mk 2 depite the framing of the videos title suggesting that the opposite be true 🤔
I’ve been trying out all the different conversion mods for Bridge Commander, including Remastered, but how did you get MFAM working? I know it’s in Kobayashi Maru by default, but I wasn’t aware that you can get it in Remastered?
MVAM is such an absurdly stupid in-universe concept. Unless there's an integrated and automated network to optimize a preferred firing solution against a wildly maneuvering target, the division of a ship and its power sources would be a death sentence. The reason why you think a MVAM is useful, is because story writers and the game doesn't show you how an enemy would actually thoroughly exploit the reduced defensive abilities of a divided target. ie. They'd prioritize the most effective reduction of damage output based upon a variety of factors (e.g. manoeuvrability, defensiveness, damage output and sustainment potential thereof, etc.). Simple prioritization would be targeting the weakest components first as a function of how much damage potential it has (e.g. target something with a big gun, and weak shields before something with a big gun but stronger shields). The components without warp cores would have significantly reduced tactical presence in a battle space. Drone swarms work because each one has the same potential as the other. That would patently not possibly be the case for how MVAM's we've seen in Star Trek.
That's the way I always understood MVAM worked. The computers in all three sections are in constant contact with each other, so in essence you still have one, single computer doing the heavy lifting, and threat assessment. So, they could perform a coordinated attack on a single target, or be assigned targets of opportunity as the situation required it. Though yes, I don't understand the purpose of the Eclipse Class deploying a mini-Defiant as part of MVAM.
@@Renserin Good thoughts but as mentioned swarming a target only works if you’re multiplying your threat without introducing exploitable weaknesses. So, a simple analysis would be… let’s say your ship can break apart into 10 pieces, which exposes more offensive weapons at once (if only temporarily) and your opponent’s ability to specifically defend/attack against that many targets… you may have a geometrically increased advantage there. HOWEVER, the likelihood is each of those pieces have a greatly reduced capability (no greater than the whole). Star Trek universe has ships that can basically attack or defend equally well from any angle, while individual weapon systems could be targeted to reduce this, the likelihood of being able to sufficiently diminish over the ability for the enemy to eliminate weaker individuated components is low. You might have a blip at onset offensively but then a huge dip as pieces are increasingly deleted. The whole point of bombers for example is to deliver force multiplying attack while the source maintains same offensive and defensive abilities. It all depends on the circumstances but simply breaking a ship into pieces would not intrinsically offer benefit as multiplying a vector in and of itself - all things being equal - doesn’t offer an advantage.
Yesss, now that's how a Defiant-style ship is meant to fight. Wolfpack tactics and swarm the enemy! The E-G is always beautiful to behold as well.
Great battle, love to see the enterprise g on the channel again!

Defiant 2.0 vs uss Kyoto request battle.

That battle was something of a state of nature, nasty, brutish and short. (In a good way.)
damn those defiant 2s are no joke

You know Worf is at the helm of the vessel that tries to ram.

5:52 of course 6 defiant 2.0 class ships are serious. And don't call me Shirley.

Can you do armored voyager vs rikers ship?
Galaxy X?
Which version of the Enterprise G is this? I thought Picard S3's FKA Titan was renamed and re-captained by Seven as the Neo-Con class Enterprise-G.
That’s what I thought too 🤔
If Enterprise G was commanded by James Bond (Sean Connery): Thish ish Commander Bond, James Bond, of the G. Enterprise G. 😛
I never clicked and liked video so fast.
The G's weapons look to be really effective against the Defiant 2, so eight seems about right, in my opinion 🖖
Seems like every time you fire quantum torpedoes forward from some distance they miss in the earlier engagements
Eclipse Class Enterprise vs Eclipse Class Star Destroyer?
Maybe? 😂

Have you done MVAM with the Enterprise D?
Well yeah multi vector assualt mode works better for multiple smaller targets that you can quickly destroy, for bigger targets its a tad dangerous
В римастере жаль его нет да там много что нет
My dad used to watch your videos until he died of ligma😔

It looked as if you missed a lot with your quantom torpedos.
Hmmm is there an 1701-G refit?
Defiant 2.0? DS9 Defiant was the 2nd one shown on startrek.
What I think? I love the real G!
Hello!
How many defiant 2.0 can the Starfleet's Battlestar Galactica destroy
Does Starfleet just put Quantum in front of everything? Also Miranda Vs Oberth
The real Enterprise G returns!
I believe you were firing the first wave of Quantum torpedoes way too early and thats why they all missed
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, I’d buy a new, complete rebuild of the game with a new game engine that can better handle huge battles.
About 7...just guessing

Это на кобаяши мару как я понял
The Defiant 2.0 is just ugly. The designer needed to take some artistic liberties with it.
The real Enterprise G,a true flagship
