I revisited the old 2005 DVD of WrestleMania III and heard that generic banjo tune for his entrance. Was like..."Waitaminute...I couldve SWORN that was 'Dont Go Messin'..." There's a few entrance themes that are redubbed, actually. Been watching old Big 4 PPVs from mid 80s-90s.
Hillbilly Jim is one of my favorites. Not a great wrestler, but the character is gold. I would love to see Jim coming over to Europe, doing «for the love of wrestling».
Henry O' has one of those personalities and cadence to his voice where he's not annoying during shoot interviews. I'm sure a lot of viewers have wrestlers whose shoot interviews they avoid just because the wrestler sucks to listen to.
Jim was really underused for WWF PPV during the late 80s, early 90s. He never wrestled at any SummerSlams, sadly. Just like Tito Santana, he could never be a heel. I’ve heard somewhere that he was contacted by WCW, to join nWo. Not sure if it’s true. But he was loyal to the wwe.
Whenever I see a match where they were supposed to play that music, I always look the song up on TH-cam and play it so I don’t have to listen to that generic banjo music.
I remember getting Hillbilly Jim's autograph at a WWE event promoting a PPV at a local university. Got a picture with him, too. It was really cool.
Hillbilly Jim was always one of my sentimental favorites.
Did you ever see any of his matches?
@@NLaBar I've seen most of his stuff. Even one of his last ones with Earthquake.
I loved them both as The Godwins and Southern Justice. The Slop Drop was a move that was awesome.
Met him in the 90s at a gaming convention, really great guy.
I learned of HillBilly through Smackdown Here Comes the Pain
He looked like an oversized Ewok in that game 😆
Thanks for using my question! 🙂

@@brianhanssens7996 thanks. I just looked it up .he looked awesome.
Agree 100%. Hillbilly was huge, and I always wondered why he just stood around. He didn't add a lot other than the theme song.
The godwins were a great heel tag team during their feud with legion of Doom and then become southern justice with jeff jarrett and colonel partner
“ don’t go messing with country boys the country boys the country boys “
I thought Hillbilly Jim & The Godwins was a perfect match.
In other words. Vince McMahon booking
Big country boy
Hannibal interviewed him a couple of years ago.

I hope you asked about the Brawl For All.
I popped for Bowling Green.
I always thought Hillbilly Jim's interview/shoots was one of the best out there.
Seems that WWE owes them some dough. Great to get a valuable advice like that.
all those country boys together.
Hillbilly Jim looked a lot like a lumberjack
DONT GO MESSIN WITH A COUNTRY BOY, A COUNTRY BOY, A COUNTRY BOY, DONT GO MESSIN WITH A COUNTRY BOY, A COUNTRY BOY LIKE ME

Southern Justice should've got the titles if they were around longer.

What did Hillbilly do in the WWF?
Does James not listen to the people he interviews?

BOOOOO!, James You wouldn't go to Minnesota, England gets Cold too!.
They won't pay for Ravishing Rick Rudes' real WWF music either. It just seems so off when he comes out.
