I interpreted 001 disappointed in 456 in that sacrifice moment as he really thought 456 was different or had a valid point. 001, to me, was disappointed that 456 really had no point at all. 456 saw the Xs as expendable just how the games saw the in debt as expendable. Imagine you’re having a great debate with someone then they prove your point in a way that works for them. It was a small sigh of disappointment but also triumph.
I agree. I think the right move was for them to turtle and protect the Xs and survive the night. That was the only right move to get the most people out alive. But 456 was blinded by revenge and was willing to sacrifice their chance to get out for his vendetta. That's why 001 looked disappointed because throughout the games he thought that 456 had a rightious cause to save as many people as he could but when the opportunity to live presented itself, Gi-hun gave it all up for a chance to take down the Frontman.
@@namastehindustan9879 true but they also had the advantage of knowing it was going to happen. Someone suggested they attack first, or they could've turned the ambush on the O team and still come out on top. They had very capable people in the X team as shown with their raid attempt. If they ambushed the O team, I think they would've come out on top.
I think Gi-Hun was quite clear, he'd already mentioned to Jung-Bae that he wasnt sure what was right anymore, after the vote failed the second time, by a larger margin. I think the writers did really well to muddle Gi-Hun's ethics once he was back in the game. He seemed so steadfast in episodes 1-3, but after seeing the greed and desperation of the other players, he starts to falter. I think it was great that Gi-Hun doesnt directly capituate that he is fine with a "small sacrifice for the greater good" by hime saying "the sacrifice will be far greater" if they dont try stop the games then and there. Also the Frontman is a goddam mythological trickster the way he was playing it this ep 😂
just FYI guys, the creator of the show was never planning on continuing the story beyond season 1, but Netflix pressured him to do it. they actually shot both season 2 and 3 back to back with 14 episodes in total, but again Netflix instead of releasing in as a one season or a two part season, they decided to make it two seasons lol. but nonetheless, this was a joy to watch, and your reactions made it even better. Edit : for some individuals in the replies, have you heard of Rolling stone or Variety, what about Wikipedia ? or you can literally search on any platform about the creator's original plan for squid game lol, there are multiple articles about this. I don't know how this is even a debate, this has been on the internet since the first season came out, if you don't believe what you read in my first comment, you can literally just do a little research yourself first, then come at me if you didn't find anything...it ain't that complicated. I wasn't even gonna write anything about this, but since Danni has said multiple times that she thinks the creator had originally planned for a 2nd season, I thought I would inform her with what's known, but people can't let you do a damn thing peacefully smh...this will be my final reply here, because my head actually hurts of how complicated people try to make things even tho they are that simple.
"the creator of the show was never planning on continuing the story beyond season 1" I will say that probably means the detectives and the scene of him returning back to the games at the end of s1 was probably forced to be written in , cause having those unexplained would kinda ruin the show with loosends
Ok, IDT Netflix pressured him into making another season. S1 was a giant success and let's be honest, I think a lot of people def wanted a S2 not because it was a success but, it was just WAY too good to not do more. (Look at Arcane, S1 was a big success, took 3 years to get S2 and we are getting more b/c the world of Arcane is so big) But, the creator of Squid Game probably only had 1 season planned. This is the reason why we had to wait 3 years for one. I would admit, I don't like this whole split the season that Netflix does, it's really annoying. They did it for Stranger Things, You, Cobra Kai etc. Squid Game to me is a bit of a weird one, the creator wrote the entire season 2 and 3 and filmed it back to back. IDU why Netflix would call this Season 3 when it could just be called Season 2 part 1 and part 2
That kinda sounds like bs. Why end Season 1 with a cliffhanger then? Why pressure him to write in an option for a S2 before knowing if this show would succeed?
@@terribletimes902 the creator literally said it himself, he didn't plan for anything beyond season 1, and it's not the first time we see an open ending for a Movie or a tv show, but netflix didn't want to miss this opportunity, so they said take your time and think of what you're gonna write for the rest of the story lol.
@ S1 ending…..it looks like a cliffhanger but, IDT the creator went with the intention of being like “oh yeah, I’m def gonna leave it as a cliffhanger and I know for sure I’ll get a season 2”. This show blew up when S1 dropped and I don’t remember any marketing for this show whatsoever. I didn’t watch any trailers, just saw a big ad on the Netflix home page and just hit play. And no one knew, not the creator or even Netflix, this show was gonna be this MEGA hit (tons of people cosplayed, merchandise, a US TV version in development etc etc) If Netflix did pressure him then F Netflix but, IDT he was pressured. They gave him a lot of time and Netflix are known to be the place to where filmmakers can make whatever show or movie they want
Not sure about "amazing". 120 is there on evil scale with #1 and Thanos. Most of the people in the games are there because if they don't get enough money right now, there're loan sharks waiting outside, ready to harvest their organs to get their money back. Or to save relatives e.g. 149 to pay debts of her son or 246 to save daugher. Meanwhile 120 is literally like I just want money for surgeries and also to move to Thailand and I'm willing to sacrifice lives of my friends to get it. Even after their friend group wants to leave, 120 is like nah, I need 1 more game to get surgery/Thailand home money.
I would like to say she obviously will because of tv tropes, but I would say Ali was the diverse analog for 120 in season 1, and we all know what happened to him... Although Ali was the anchor and protector for Season 1, he was also presented as naive and selfless while 120 is presented as especially capable, driven, and self-conscious. So...in political points speak, I now think she has a better chance of surviving than Ali. But not by much. 😬
@@questator1I wouldn't say evil, but she is certainly selfish as an O archetype. If we want to be forgiving, we could say this is life or death if she couldn't live with herself, but that is still something she could solve without money, while societal debt is not.
@@questator1 120 is the coolest character imo lmao all the players have their reasons but 120 at least never does anything morally grey & hasn't done anything wrong other than wanting to continue for one more game
I still think that was the dumbest choice he could have made to willingly sacrifice some of the Xs for basically nothing and then not convince some of the Os to join them by playing on their greed and self interest saying we're talking all the money too from the ppl in charge so join us and get rich.
Same idk what he was thinking. Better choice to attack first then vote to end game and regroup with in ho and gang. Instead he sacrificed X members for his own last effort goal which was pretty suicidal. He is no better than the people he judged, sacrificing others for his own goal, and the frontman sees this and is disappointed.
It's intentional. It shows he's more concerned about revenge on the game staff than saving everyone else. The Front Man can even see this. He's won their clash of ideals. Still Gi-hun did Se-mi dirty, she could've lived.
@@sirmel11 and he's not perfect either. We see it in his relationship with his mom and daughter and here. He's not innocent like Ali but not evil like Deok-su. He's a flawed MC
i don't think in-ho was disappointed with gi-hun's plan. the whole time he was prodding and poking at his thought process to get the point across that there is no option for moral purity in this world, the way gi-hun was always striving for it. and this episode it was revealed very openly when gi-hun was explicitly willing to make sacrifices of other players for his plan, even the people on his voting side.
I think he was somewhat disappointed that Gi-Hun was willing to sacrifice people for the greater good. Front Man was smug about being right, but also Gi-Hun gave Front Man some tiny bit of hope for humanity. However, that was completely shattered the moment Gi-Hun made his plan to sacrifice the X's. From that moment, he went back into Front Man mode
I personally think when he asked gi hun about making a small sacrifice for the greater good; the front man was trying to show Gi hun how flawed his logic is. I think he wanted to show Gi hun that no matter what he does he will fail; weather it's changing human nature or trying to fight the greater evil powers.
its crazy how the FrontMan has no feelings, dude was eating and vibing w them guys and few hours later shoot them point blank, dude is cold af lmao Also I think he only joined the games to see how far Gi-Hun would go and then to crush his ideals in the end
@@tanchik_UwU I think In-ho or Frontman still has feelings in him, he just got cold during the games, when he already won in the past and especially his wife died, so it would break everyone and especially we don't know his past at all
17:01 yeah, Squares know Frontman's face. But I wonder how people above (frontman's people) knew that they must not kill 001 (maybe soldiers were ordered not to kill 001, but that's too suspicious, I don't think triangles know about the fact that the frontman is in the games). And the thing is that triangles still can shoot 001 by accident. I begin thinking that the frontman risked his life to be in the games. (It makes sense because he doesn't have anything left. I mean he doesn't want his brother to find him and I think in-ho doesn't want to see his brother's or stepmother's deaths, because he's already lost his wife and his child)
My guess was that one of the soldiers has blanks in their weapon and would have used them on the front man had his team lost. That way, he is "dead" in the same way that Il-Nam was in season 1 and could just go back to running the games
Yeah, didn’t see him drop dead. More like injuring him enough that he’s still alive for his organs to be harvested. Which gives 011 a chance to help him on the final season.
Everyone thinks that because we want it to be true. I'll be totally okay if he's dead, even though I hope he's not. Or I should say, I think he's dead, and hope I'm wrong.
I really hoping Min-su would redeem like Myung-gi has. Bro gave us a Saving Private Ryan scene instead. He and Gi-hun did Se-mi dirty. No way In-ho would ever change. Il-nam joined because he wanted to have fun and genuinely grew fond of the cast. In-ho joined with the mission to crush Gi-hun's ideals.
Min-su was the realist character on the show. Everyone likes to think they'll become John Wick in these games which is why too many people foolishly judged the son for his kidnapping in Mingle, but instead more people would be Min-Su than they like to admit, and I think that makes them hate him more.
@@orkiso1I think I've twice seen you say that, but while I understand YOU are a fan of that woman, saying it this way suggests a targeted betrayal by Gi-Hun. He did not do her dirty. He did the Xs dirty by abandoning them for his rebellion. And in my opinion, there was no other way for his plan to work. This is how all rebellion works. Regardless of right or wrong, they are all beasts demanding blood.
I'm with the group that thinks Frontman was testing Gi-Hun, not crushing him. But you definitely could be right about that motivation; we haven't had confirmation one way or the other.
He was not. This is not the first time it’s brought up. One of his teammates questions his family allowing their only son to join the marines, and he nervously changes the subject.
@@terribletimes902I took that as Dae-ho having bad relationship with his dad. Cause he wasn’t eager to talk about him. You can see his reaction when Jung-bae tells him “he must be a great man” after referring his dad fought in Vietnam. So, he must have been force to join the marines but either he is a deserter or PTSD. Well, those are my thoughts.
@@terribletimes902i mean there’s still the theory that he’s secretly gay which kinda makes sense, he grew up in a all female household other than his dad, him being really good and even better than the most of the girls at a “feminine game”, him being super affectionate. The real reason he was sent to the marines by his dad was to straighten him out as south korea has a very big distaste towards lgbt which coincides with his dad sending him to the marines “to be more manly”.
@@EpicTech281we had the same thought entirely. Obviously the show could be going for what others are suggesting, because it is simpler to say he lied. But since Korea has conscription, he likely was in some branch of the military. I think he is instead an analog of the real life case in Korea of bullying that lead to shell shock and friendly fire, since he gave the same unit number. He has ptsd not from combat but from prolonged bullying and then maybe witnessing a soldier start killing friendlies right in front of him.
A marine would know how to shoot and gun and handle a weapon. PTSD does not take that ability away. He has not idea how to shoot or anything and he always changes the subject when the topic of marines come up. He’s definitely faking it.
I feel In-ho “betrays” them because he won. At first Gi-hun intrigued them. He played the games and instead of being selfish, taking the money moving on with his life he came back and portrayed, as if he was trying to save everyone get them to go home. But then in this episode he shifts he’s not worried about getting people home but stopping the games and he’s willing to sacrifice the X’s all of which were people who wanted to go home for his mission so eventually he was changed or rather he reveals himself “no one escapes the games” “he is no hero” “this isn’t about saving people but revenge” someone literally says to Gi-hun “we have more elderly and woman we’re more vulnerable we need to attack first”, he knew the O would attack and is like nah we can’t attack and let the game change us but sacrificing people is crazy I believe In-ho looked disappointed because the other games Gi-hun was selfless sacrificing himself to save others, red light he ran back out to save another, in the 3rd game he was telling others to pair up first he was selfless and willing to risk his life to save other but with this fight he was selfish only warning a select few, throwing away others for his goal
The Front Man's even confirms part of the character WANTS Gi-hun to be right about everything. But the smirk on his face when Gi-hun makes his plan tells him everything. He's already won.
It's interesting to note that the Front Man and Darth Vader share many striking similarities. Both were once individuals dedicated to protecting others and upholding their duties. The Front Man, whose real name is Hwang In-ho, was a highly regarded police officer, while Darth Vader, originally Anakin Skywalker, was a promising Jedi Knight. Both experienced the tragic loss of their pregnant wives. In their grief, both joined evil organizations in order to save their wives. In-ho joined the Squid Games, hoping to win the prize money to save his wife, while Anakin turned to the Sith, hoping to use their power to save Padmé. However, both were too late to prevent their wives' deaths. In their sorrow, both turned to the dark side and donned black suits and masks, symbolizing their transformation. Both would go on to command powerful organizations with The Front Man leading a group of Pink soldiers in the Squid Game organization, while Darth Vader commands White stormtroopers in the Galactic Empire. Given these similarities and patterns, it's likely that The Front Man will recognize the consequences of his actions and ultimately sacrifice his life to save others and bring down the Squid Game, much like how Darth Vader sacrificed himself to destroy the Sith for good.
It's so brilliant everyone thought Thanos would be this season's Deok-su but in reality, Nam-gyu is the more evil of the two and we see Thanos was his leash. It's weird he curses Thanos when the latter literally choose him over Min-su in mingle.
Hot take Thanos probably cared about his crew in his own fucked up way . He probably would have avoid killing his crew as much as he can. Only time he would betray or kill his own crew when it comes to saving his own life which is pretty understandable . Like he tried to make the group more functional and told everyone to be friendly to each other. He is just crazy and plus was High 🤣 that's why a bit too unpredictable.
i still stand that if thanos was alive during the lights out raid, just saying someone else died instead of him causing the snowball, se-mi would’ve lived cuz thanos would definitely intervened if nam-gyu was targeting her
His ego was wounded by Thanos' authority, fame, and apparent apathy. He kept messing up Nam-gyu's name, and called all the shots with them. Nam-gyu was overshadowed by Thanos, but also invisible without him, and that made him both worship and resent Thanos. So yeah, cursing him made sense now that he felt morning for his loss and simultaneously angry by his relation to him.
Frontman is such a fascinating character. He lost everything before/during his participation in the games, his wife, his child, and his entire career. He likely ended up like Gi-hun after winning, but since he was so dead inside, he was manipulated by the organization into becoming part of it-the only place where he felt he belonged, among other worthless human husks-becoming his status quo until he ended up shooting his brother, someone who he seems to really love. After Gi Hun wins, Frontman feels a bond with him, a rich human husk, who had to outlive other 455 people, but the fact that Gi Hun finds the strenght within him to fight the system, instead of giving up, conflicts him, reason why he decides to let him participate on the current iteration of the games, going as far as becoming player 001, not to fight against Gi Hun ideals, but to understand them and see who is right, poking at Gi Hun's brain every chance he gets, even letting himself go and live the moment (6 leg and Mingle games), sadly he ends up being disappointed in Gi Hun after seeing how he is willing to sacrifice everyone around him in order to achieve his personal goal, using human lives as any other resource, not being different than the upperups from the organization, reason why he decides to go back to his old gig...
I wonder if Front Man's long-term plan is to break Gi-hun psychologically, with the goal of trying to recruit him as management to continue the Squid Games.
In this episode if u see carefully u will see a cameraman filming the scene production team thought we won't notice or they didn't notice.😂 Check yourself again episode 7 time 22:41 focus on top right corner a guy on black t-shirt is filming it.
Watching this reaction I just realized something. The front boss planed for the hero to come back. That’s why his friend was there. And that’s why the boss made sure the friend didn’t die. So he could kill him in front of the hero.
@ it’s so weird the things people respond to. It’s like some kind of OCD autistic thing. Especially when you don’t even comment on the point but start a whole other thought. It’s kind of like answering a question with a question. But I’ll answer your question because I don’t do that. Yes I forgot. What next?
I was a bit surprised at Gi-hun's decision to sacrifice players when he seemed like his main goal was to save them but ultimately I realize Gi-hun would do anything just to permanently stop the games.
20:45 I think the frontman is interested in gi-hun too. But also i think VIP's kind of love the show. If there is no VIP, the games won't exist because of the lack of money. (I assume VIP's also can think that the place when the games are is not so secure, but still if most of VIP's are gambler as in the first season, everything can be possible. With the money VIP's have I don't think they can find something so appealing for them than the games)
32:17 i think 11 shot the dad and the dad is still alive, because we didn't see the dead body. (Interesting that the same thing works for Stranger Things, if you didn't see the dead body, there is a high chance a person didn't die)
Lots of people hate on Dae Ho, but from a writing point of view they needed an excuse for him and 120 to 'survive', so him staying back forced 120 to also go back, so he saved her. :P Because as we see the other guys who surrender just got shot down.
Well but they shouldn't, they still broke the rules and left the dormitory and it was shown many times, that once you break a rule, you are done and you can't just start following rules again. 120 looked directly at multiple cameras while shooting them and was leading the squad so there is huge amount of footage to prove participation in rebellion. With 388 it would be odd, but maybe they could argue, that no one noticed him, because he was always hunkered down. But my guess would be, that they might take them away while the rest of games continue. Then the last game will be something like 'heroes vs players' with 456+388+120 against whoever survived rest of the games from the non rebelling players.
I heard an interesting opinion on why Daeho, who was discharged from the Marine Corps, did not bring back the magazines. When Daeho introduced himself after the Green Light Red Light game, he said it was the 1140th Marine Corps, and that was when a real gun incident occurred in the Korean military. Daeho was probably at the scene of the shooting at that time. That's why ptsd was formed.
16:50 remember Frontman had his mask off while watching red light green light Oh and at the end of season 1 he also took it off so it's not unreasonable high ranks to recognize him
I know from watching your Anime reactions that Sam likes Romance lol, and just so you know, Kdramas have the best romance stories with only 16 episodes for most of them, so you can check them out on your own time if you want. here are some recommendations just in case one day you decided to watch some : Lovely runner (16 episodes) Business proposal (12 episode) It's okay to not be okay (16 episode) Queen of tears (16 episodes) Twenty five twenty one (16 episodesand my personal favorite.) Twinkling watermelon (16 episodes) there are many more amazing ones but this is what popped up in my head right now lol.
16:49 The guy probably doesn't recognized him as Front Man, but maybe as a previous winner he knew him. He was a square hence not his first year. Square are managers below the black organ harvesting square 😅 and obviously below Front Man, but still one of the highest rank. 😊
I think the girls dad doesnt make it, but since 11s daughter is gone she will make it out and get the girls operation and adopt her. The captian of the boat is not working with the front man. He is the person who picks up the organs. He wont want the game to stop so he has to stop the special ops. I feel like im with Morgan here. I think that Front Man was disappointed in Gi-hun for letting people die for the "greater good", since thats how front man sees what he is doing is for the "greater good" getting "garbage" off the streets! Like he wanted Gi-hun to be a better person maybe because he wished he would have been like Gi-hun instead after the games. Yet his wife's death made him lose himself.
maybe they shot him in the leg to harvest his organs and 11s redemption arc is about saving him before it is too late by sacrificing herself in the process.
We definitely discussed this as a possibility off-camera! I think him fumbling with the gun made us think he wasn’t in the Marines. I think if they showed him reacting to gun fire in other games would’ve pointed us in the direction of PTSD. Either way we understand why he didn’t go back. 😞 -Sam
@@TheReactPack he actually did respond to gunfire earlier on, but I don't remember which episode tho, maybe episode 5 when they were playing the six legs game.
New to this channel, but i've been watching a lot of reactors, and you guys are great. Started with watching you guys on ep 6 reactions to the mom character, and went to back to start from ep 1, and now here(If mom dies, we riot!). Subbing. Looking forward to checking out more content.
In fact, IN HO has been analyzing Gihun, remember that they made a bet in the limousine, he said that humans can be hungry beasts that don't care about anything and GIHUN said the opposite, while he was with them you could even see a certain part of humanity in him, but in a way he was DISAPPOINTED to see Gihun set his goal of going to catch the frontman sacrificing human lives, he was doing the opposite of what he initially wanted to do, he is practically giving IN HO the reason here.
to me personally, I think the frontman sees potential in GiHun becoming the new frontman of the games. When GiHun explained his plans, Frontman is understanding tht GiHun is willing to sacrifice lives for his own goals and motive and thts literally what the game is all about.
I feel Dae Ho was in the marines but was pressured to join because of his father but never really was his thing he mentioned growing up with sisters so he must have not been into that stuff but he wanted a better relationship with his father so he felt the marine route was the way but he must have got discharged right away, ran away or has severe PTSD but I don’t think he lied about being in the marines
gi-hun told he was gonna change his world on the limo, but he is being changed. He couldn't kill the O players to leave but he could sacrifice some X players.
The frontmans intention is to destroy Gi Hun mentally. He wants to show him that mankind is bad & everyone is just fighting for themself. That said he at least didnt kill his brother & even sending a fisherman searching after him
nice tho here is my TMI// the MP5 is exclusively used by operatives in special operations forces and ofc the Republic of Korea Marines are indeed remarkable tho they are not a special operations unit and, unfortunately, do not use the MP5. However, if Juhyun were a member of the ROK special forces, the depiction would have been incredibly accurate since their primary weapon is the MP5 lol... so.. MP5 is kinda like the ultimate symbol of special forces around the world and I served in the military for two years, but I’ve never even seen one in real life lol... It’s definitely a weapon that screams prestige thats why I was truly amazed by the level of detail in Season 2-it’s absolutely impressive )
I definitely think In-Ho joined the games explicitly to break Gi-Hun, and now he’s partially satisfied because of Gi-Hun’s plan, but he’s keeping him alive to fully break him.
now that squid games season 3 are coming i have my prediction ready for what's going to happen and it's the following, the front man or in other words the boss who plays as player 001 will end up dying at the hands of Seong Gi-hun our protagonist, but these events of the squid games are something so so worse so big that he realizes that he won't be able to stop him and decides to take command instead and take the games to Korea as they have always been done and what I think is going to happen is that they will show that it doesn't only happen in that country, but in Russia, Germany, Japan etc etc and our protagonist will remain as the new front man of the squid games, that's my prediction even if it sounds like a joke but it's what occurred to me so we'll have to see if that happens or not. 😅😅😅
01 inho was searching for security breaches such as red light green light people were hiding behind each other so they wont get detected so he added the boy robot to fix that and hes also gonna fix all the other security breaches espically how they managed to steal the guns and sht thats how i think of it and ofc learning gihuns objective
I never understood how it went from "lets vote out the next game with the money" to "lets risk our lives and have a full blown shootout to end this game with no money" ⁉️
13:38 looool Most Korean men can use their guns very skillfully because the military is mandatory😅 Of course, it may be difficult to use among grandmother and women.
My thery is the triangle girl kept the dad alive just enough for his organs to be donated to his daughter. I think that will be the end of that storyline
First off, I called it as I saw the end credit, this is gonna be an early version of the game wich In-Ho won so I’m guessing we’re gonna see a condensed version of it 👀 This was clearly all just a game on Gi-Hun with how quick they wrapped it when he said to 😬 also I don’t think the marine lied about the joining since has he said his dad made him to make him more of a man being his only son, I’m thinking he might have had high expectations from him and maybe was violent. Also Korea asnt been in battle in a long time so maybe he just doesn’t have field experience. I loved his character so much so I’m thinking they’ve got something for next season especially since him and 120 were sparred in the end, both my top of this season by the way haha so I’m glad we get more. Loved your reaction girls, really excited to see what’s next now
Gi-Hun's plan makes no sense to me. Okay, you take over the place by gunning everyone down... And now? Do they just take out everyone as a part of the games? Or is it just to break free the players who voted to leave? 'Cause even if he successfully dismantled the games, they're all funded by the wealthy people we saw last season who throw away the prize money as if they're pennies (the converted prize money is $40-ish million) and probably wouldn't have any problems setting another one up. This season was very entertaining and all the acting and production was stellar, but those aspects of the story felt weak. Even Gi-Hun's obsession with revenge didn't make all that sense since we spent more time seeing other characters instead of taking a dive into his head & way of thinking.
Well originally plan A was to capture Frontman during "the recruitment" to get to the VIPs. That failed, so backup plan B was to use tooth tracker so the assault squad can come from outside (much better trained and equipped). That also failed, so I think this was a poor attempt to recreate plan B using other contestants. The police guy told him that VIPs were there, so plan was probably to get Frontman to force pink suits to surrender and lead them to VIPs. I think that if it was the original plan B and the assault squad drone got footage of the red light, green light as proof for police, then it might have worked. This plan C was hail mary, but it still probably makes sense, if it succeeded then most likely multiple people survive, if they lose and the game continues 1 person will survive. If they didn't do anything, 1 person will survive. I think that his revenge obsession makes some sense, but I do agree, that his character is sidelined quite a bit and even when we get scenes with him, he is just passively sitting there. For me season 2 is good, but for me it really feels like they started too many parallel storylines and didn't have time to fully develop any of them
Even they manage to terminate the game by votes still it doesn't make the game to stop since they can recruit another set of people to play the game so his plan is valid to end the game by killing the frontman according to his plan because it is an only chance to have a opportunity to do so without killing more people (as the small sacrifice required to make his plan effective)
Alice in Borderland is actually getting a season 3, it's been confirmed for a while but we don't have a release date yet. It will seemingly be completely original content as there isn't enough extra manga content for it to be more adaptational stuff
@poptarts8278 yeah thats what i'm saying. Season 1 and 2 is already a complete finished story. Season 3 is New Game +. really hoping its as good as the first 2 seasons.
I hope the last game is a 1v1 a squid game tournament where they punish the players for the rebellion by fixing matchups. The mom vs the son, the bully and the pregnant girl vs mg coin, Gi Hun vs a revived cyber Sang-Woo. The witch lady and her cronies vs the special forces trans lady, the battle of the cowards with the 2 scared guys, etc.
I hate that Gihun sacrificed Xs for a clearly bad plan, then he tries to be self-righteous by stopping an X killing the Os who murdered the Xs-really? you value the murderers' lives. It's not even like they could be innocent because they witnessed the killing themselves. Perhaps, if it was a good plan, the Xs would have at least died for something, but no. He didn't know how many soldiers there were, he didn't know if enough players will volunteer to fight with him, he has no map of the facility, he's not sure if he could trust the words of a soldier taken as a hostage, he couldn't be certain that the Frontman would even be there-like, what if he left the site to attend to other stuff because there were no games to oversee until the re-vote is concluded? I'm thinking the look the Frontman gave him when he admitted to be willing to sacrifice some people was disappointment-disappointed that Gihun doesn't have what it takes (yet?) to take down the system. I'm thinking the Frontman has the same goal too but his way is by infiltrating the organization and destroying it from the inside. Perhaps he's trying to get close to Gihun to test if he has qualities to be a good ally, but his poor planning made him realize that he's still kinda dumb and his willingness to sacrifice his fellow Xs suggests that he may be corruptible.
I like Season 2 more than season 1 because it has a better finale, more characters, and more likable characters. Season one had 6 good guys. Season two has 10 good guys (if you include the Shaman)
the protagonist decisions doesn’t makes sense to me, he deemed letting the people on his group die a necessary sacrifice, to risk everyone’s lives in a suicide mission, instead of working together to face the O people who are actively trying to kill them and stop the games, saving more people
I’m so disappointed in 456. 3 years, billions of won, and all he could come up with was a microchipped tooth. Not a gambler’s rehabilitation center, not a charity for struggling families. There’s SO MUCH GOOD he could’ve done with that “blood money” he’s only been using for his vendetta and to keep the promises he’s made. This whole thing was all about revenge. Say he lucks out AGAIN and captured the front man…then what, sir?? He’s truly not a hero, just a flawed human character with a hero complex. He sacrificed people who wanted to go home for his own gain.
Yeah. That angle of the story's definitely the weakest. Even after accepting he's devoting himself to going back into the games... The fact his plan was to simply overwhelm them all with guns? Like, THAT'S the master plan to end the games forever? As if someone wouldn't simply re-do them in a different way with the bottomless cash pit they have, knowing a bunch of billionaires fund them for giggles and could do it again if they were dismantled.
@@AndresGomez-ct7qbI go back to when he wanted to slap the recruiter back, completely forgetting about the money in S1 EP1. That is 456 in essence. This is was all a half baked plan of revenge with no thought. And his hero complex pulled everyone else in.
Realistically yeah, but for a show that wouldn't have been the most interesting thing to watch. Like if the people left the haunted house 10 minutes into a horror movie.
I’m with Morgan, I wan to throw up. Dawg this final was devastating and intense. While understand the character choices, I’m still upset about them😅😅. The next and final season is going to be crazy.
Yea so they sacrificed a bunch of X's in the night and then lost more X's trying to take the control room so the second vote to continue the games will be a landslide victory for the O's. Smh
He didn't have "no point". He had the same point, and that might be worse to In-Ho, who wants to believe he's wrong about the nature of humanity.
Yeaaaaaaaaa but in theory, stopping the games would, in his mind, save more people in the long run @@bate_0o7
@@bate_0o7but O side was going to attack them regardless so gi hun made the right move
The Frontman is clearly so disappointed with Gihun when he is explaining his plan.
His actor confirms a part of him wanted Gi-hun to be right and won their clash of ideals. But once Gi-hun decided this, he'd already won

"the creator of the show was never planning on continuing the story beyond season 1"
I will say that probably means the detectives and the scene of him returning back to the games at the end of s1 was probably forced to be written in , cause having those unexplained would kinda ruin the show with loosends
Ok, IDT Netflix pressured him into making another season. S1 was a giant success and let's be honest, I think a lot of people def wanted a S2 not because it was a success but, it was just WAY too good to not do more.
(Look at Arcane, S1 was a big success, took 3 years to get S2 and we are getting more b/c the world of Arcane is so big)
But, the creator of Squid Game probably only had 1 season planned.
And no one knew, not the creator or even Netflix, this show was gonna be this MEGA hit (tons of people cosplayed, merchandise, a US TV version in development etc etc)
If Netflix did pressure him then F Netflix but, IDT he was pressured. They gave him a lot of time and Netflix are known to be the place to where filmmakers can make whatever show or movie they want
I hope Player 120 makes it out alive, she was amazing
Bruh everyone turned on her and she couldn't get work because she's trans. Its not just about surgeries.
Well the thing is that he's just a guy. He's not supposed to be super smart. He's just a guy with a strong sense of justice.
@@joshuaagee-bass4049How did GI-HUN do Se-Mi dirty exactly??
Yes I like this theory as well, I can definitely see him thinking in that direction! -Morgan
its crazy how the FrontMan has no feelings, dude was eating and vibing w them guys and few hours later shoot them point blank, dude is cold af lmao
Also I think he only joined the games to see how far Gi-Hun would go and then to crush his ideals in the end
I also think the frontman wanted to understand gi-hun and maybe prove his points of view
The frontman has feelings, remember, he cares about his brother
We haven't gotten the information about the circumstances (how and why he became the frontman)
@@tanchik_UwU I mean does he really? he didnt kill him, but how much does he really care

I think 011 spared the dad. I could be wrong though.
Loved this season. Thanks for the reaction. ❤
We think she spared the dad too!! Or we really hope so. 🤍 -Sam
Sae-Mi was done SO dirty. I do not agree with gi-hun's decision at all
Min-su was the realist character on the show.
@@ShadowPhoenix82 he's basically Sang-woo but not as smart.
Dae Ho in my opinion was in the marines, but he probably has PTSD, that's why he's so scared. I feel bad for him tho.
But then in this episode he shifts he’s not worried about getting people home but stopping the games and he’s willing to sacrifice the X’s all of which were people who wanted to go home for his mission so eventually he was changed or rather he reveals himself “no one escapes the games” “he is no hero” “this isn’t about saving people but revenge” someone literally says to Gi-hun “we have more elderly and woman we’re more vulnerable we need to attack first”, he knew the O would attack and is like nah we can’t attack and let the game change us but sacrificing people is crazy
I believe In-ho looked disappointed because the other games Gi-hun was selfless sacrificing himself to save others, red light he ran back out to save another, in the 3rd game he was telling others to pair up first he was selfless and willing to risk his life to save other but with this fight he was selfish only warning a select few, throwing away others for his goal
We get it you like star wars
@@anshulkumar8922 he did care, he was clearly upset when he realized he got Gyeong-su killed
i still stand that if thanos was alive during the lights out raid, just saying someone else died instead of him causing the snowball, se-mi would’ve lived cuz thanos would definitely intervened if nam-gyu was targeting her
@@raulito238I agree.

Yeah I think him finding the island would've been a better finale for him.

Totally agree, I think her plan is that she is sending him for organ harvesting but will save him and force the doctor to treat his wounds.
17:20 yeah, i think they didn't expect this, because there wasn't any accident like this since 1999. (The year when the games began)
The guards HAVE to know that 001 is the frontman. They don't want to eliminated him during a game by accident. lol.
I think by the end of this show, Gi-hun will become the Front Man.
16:50 remember Frontman had his mask off while watching red light green light
Oh and at the end of season 1 he also took it off so it's not unreasonable high ranks to recognize him

Not me crying on that scene again where Gihun wails beside Jungbae's body and then a "Kinder joy" ad plays 😂
That said he at least didnt kill his brother & even sending a fisherman searching after him
this ending really reminded me of when Walter watched Hank died in front of him
nice tho here is my TMI// the MP5 is exclusively used by operatives in special operations forces and ofc the Republic of Korea Marines are indeed remarkable tho they are not a special operations unit and, unfortunately, do not use the MP5.
You girls could definitly watch mr.sunshine, the front man n°001 is the lead in that show.
I definitely think In-Ho joined the games explicitly to break Gi-Hun, and now he’s partially satisfied because of Gi-Hun’s plan, but he’s keeping him alive to fully break him.
The whole battle was a game. They announced it to the pink suits over the PA-system. "The special game starts now."
Rumors say June 27 which is believable bc lots of other big shows releasing the same day and it got leaked so yeah
now that squid games season 3 are coming i have my prediction ready for what's going to happen and it's the following, the front man or in other words the boss who plays as player 001 will end up dying at the hands of Seong Gi-hun our protagonist, but these events of the squid games are something so so worse so big that he realizes that he won't be able to stop him and decides to take command instead and take the games to Korea as they have always been done and what I think is going to happen is that they will show that it doesn't only happen in that country, but in Russia, Germany, Japan etc etc and our protagonist will remain as the new front man of the squid games, that's my prediction even if it sounds like a joke but it's what occurred to me so we'll have to see if that happens or not. 😅😅😅
pov: I had just finished episode 6 and episode 7 comes right away
01 inho was searching for security breaches such as red light green light people were hiding behind each other so they wont get detected so he added the boy robot to fix that and hes also gonna fix all the other security breaches espically how they managed to steal the guns and sht thats how i think of it and ofc learning gihuns objective
I never understood how it went from "lets vote out the next game with the money" to "lets risk our lives and have a full blown shootout to end this game with no money" ⁉️
THANOS NOOOOO 😢
13:38 looool Most Korean men can use their guns very skillfully because the military is mandatory😅
Of course, it may be difficult to use among grandmother and women.
When you realize "we are the VIPs"
have to wait 6 months for season 3!
I also like the screen time Frontman gets that makes me like season two more
My thery is the triangle girl kept the dad alive just enough for his organs to be donated to his daughter. I think that will be the end of that storyline
Pretending to be on the other team is a good idea!
Gi hun's gonna be mega depressed next season lol
😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
I love your reactions❤
I love 120 sm she was the most hype character in this episode
Gi-hun always gotta do something in the season finale to piss me off lol
React to "Alice in Borderlands" criminally underrated, its only 2 seasons and its finished, while you wait for next season of Squid Game.
I've watched so many reactions, now I'm confused what every person said
season 3 comes out june 27th
This is not confirmed by the way. 😊
@@agustinbarquero8898 it mostly is by leaks
The frontman Half of him wants to crush gi hun ideal and somewhere in himself he wants gihun to prove himself right and crush on ideals to be free
10:22 such a coward man….hate him fr
he is vip
@ whaaa?!
That kid never been in the army if he was it was a desk job
Thanos: You should have gone for the he-... ...
I like Season 2 more than season 1 because it has a better finale, more characters, and more likable characters. Season one had 6 good guys. Season two has 10 good guys (if you include the Shaman)
the protagonist decisions doesn’t makes sense to me, he deemed letting the people on his group die a necessary sacrifice, to risk everyone’s lives in a suicide mission, instead of working together to face the O people who are actively trying to kill them and stop the games, saving more people
I saw photo on instagram that guard no 011 taking a picture and behind her have another pink soldier that his face looks like the father😭😭😭
U should Watch squid game every hidden details ✌️
Still not solo levelling 😮
Gi-Hun will be the new frontman
388 was a marine in a computer game maybe 😂 or never experienced action, made coffee for the other badass guys and gals. 😅
The mom and 222 didnt want their partners joining because they see 456 as an extremist.
The character was never a superhero or perfect to begin with. He was broken so his decisions make sense
You guys should watch alice in borderlands, if you haven't watch it already.
I think the Frontman joined the game to stop 456 from ruining the game.
i cried too when player 390 died :(
Mid-su fumbled the baddie so hard she died ☹
Don't know if the "reflective surface" in the background would cause monitization problems... Jues be careful...
If 125 has no haters, then I'm dead. The most useless player
Ultimate gun battle is like a mash up of these following games. METAL GEAR SOLID, TIME CRISIS, and RESIDENT EVIL.
Alice in borderland please😢
This gave "Infinity War" ending vibes
I’m with Morgan, I wan to throw up. Dawg this final was devastating and intense. While understand the character choices, I’m still upset about them😅😅. The next and final season is going to be crazy.
player 120, 456 and 390 went crazy in this episode
Yea so they sacrificed a bunch of X's in the night and then lost more X's trying to take the control room so the second vote to continue the games will be a landslide victory for the O's. Smh
Loved this season. Thanks for the reaction. ❤
GI HUN's FRIEND NOOOOO 😢
That was worst plan ever and it was sooo selfish u can’t call him a hero after what happened in this episode
