too bad USDOJ is a waste of taxdollars, this is a major issue....there needs to be a lawsuit as the policy is a blatant ADA violation. At this point, I can't go to disney at all. but last I could, I would need the DAS pass.
In some ways a lack of letters or medical documentation is probably a good thing. But, it does sound like they're more concerned with the people whining about the alleged fakers than serving the public. I can't entirely blame them for not wanting to look at documentation, given that people have apparently been able to pay for a letter and that having that documentation carries with it rules about safeguarding it.
My child was born without the ability to hold her bladder and bowels. We are not able to get a DAS pass. It’s unfortunate that a child with caudal regression wount be able to visit the park. I will not subject my child using a catheter in a ride line or having to wait in line to have a #2 accident.
TBH, that seems like the sort of thing where a nastygram from a lawyer would get it straightened out rather quickly. That sort of thing is clearly a disability and being permitted to have a DAS pass is clearly a reasonable accommodation for it.
Disney: We want to weed out the liars, but we won’t review medical documentation.
Exactly
So how are they approving the passes?
It’s vibes based.✨

they expect you to have someone wait in line and then you join them or you leave the line and come back....
if you have the ability file a ADA or state civil rights complaint. Don't expect USDOJ to help. you need a private lawyer
