I see you got recommendations for his music video The Story Of One Sky on your channel. The MV was released on September 24, 2022. He worked on this composition for three years. BUT, please do yourself a favor and slow down. It's far too early for that. I don't want to offend anyone, but the video left even die-hard Dears/fans speechless. Imagine stepping out of the Middle Ages and boarding a rocket without ever having ridden a train. I think the comparison fits quite well. Maybe you should wait a little longer and listen to some other, more "normal" Dimash songs first (whatever „normal“ means when it comes to Dimash😅). Normally this song and especially the MV is not the best video for reactors who don't know Dimash that well. Dimash surpasses himself with his vocal skills that I can't even describe. The video is the best I've ever seen. The message that Dimash wants to convey in this video is very important for him and for us and I think also for today's world. But believe me when I tell you that focusing on both is incredibly difficult, if not impossible. The video is full of symbolism. No camera angle is unwanted, every scene has meaning and should be watched carefully to understand the video. And then there's his voice. He has so many beautiful "older" songs in so many genres and languages that will blow your mind. Get to know him first. He's getting better and better. Please, you are in no hurry. As the MV begins you hear 'The Flower Duet' from the opera 'Lacmé' by Delibes which was composed in 1881 and premiered in Paris in 1883. The ride is a Rolls Royce.. perhaps 1970's vintage. Most everyone agrees this is one of Dimash's greatest performances.. with a song that rocks Transylvania to its very core with a flare of contemporary Dimash to digest.. and a taste of vocals to die for! Yes.. everyone focuses on his singing.. the notes.. the technique.. the visuals.. yea! They're great! BUT IS THERE A MESSAGE?! THERE SURE IS! (The following is the opinion of Pete Smith) Dimash's mastery of symbolism is no secret and here.. he poses as a vampire.. representing society as having become dead and losing its emotions and feelings.. and longing for someone, something, to raise him back to mortality. And so he might find a 'girl', who could represent anything in our society, like LOVE, kindness and a sense of belonging.. to bring him back to life.. back to who he really was and who he could be now. Anyone who watched the video, made by a fan with his cell phone, of Dimash's show in Hong Kong, had the pleasure of a first contact with the song “When I've Got You” and realized, in Dimash's own music and in the lyrics by Candice Kelly and Dmytro Gordon, a romantic, seductive and passionate song sung with Dimash's own virtuosity. There was tension and anxiety in being able to watch the studio version with better sound quality... Now, with the release of this music video, we realize how creative Dimash is: A suspense video with a “noir” atmosphere, but without being located in the past, and a tale of passion about a supernatural creature who feels alone and needs to fulfill his passion for a mortal woman who suffers for wanting and not wanting turn her into one of his supernatural creatures. I have been following Dimash for 7 years, and the journey has been mind blowing. My interpretation of WIGY is that the girl dozes off in the taxi on her way to interview Dimash, and dreams the whole video, until the moment when Dimash makes YOU jump, and it wakes her up. Good that you have found Dimash, but you should go back to The Singer competition, in 2017, China, where he shocked the audience there, and got exposure to the world, with his SOS. I think, if u watch all of that, plus his first big concert, called Bastau and then go to some later performances, you will learn a lot about him and see how he has progressed. It will be a great journey!
