Nissan, needed much more horsepowers and torques, they should considered trying a 4.0/4.6 diesels engines with twin turbos, six (6) manual transmission, most Nissan urvan has trouble moving off on hills,comparison towards a Toyota hiace, which carries a much small engines ,
8:12 - notice how the door doesn't lock in place once it reached the end of the guide rails and is fully open. I've also noticed this on two Urvan Premium units at a dealership and at a mall. This has never happened to our current HiAce, and not even to our very old 1999 HiAce Commuter. To me, this makes the Urvan feel unrefined. The door shouldn't bounce like that. Heck, even the Foton View and View Traveller, which most motorists would View (forgive the pun) with skepticism, don't suffer from this design flaw.

It's too big to be the competitor with the GL Grandia. This should compete with the Super Grandia LXV. Nissan should step their Urvan up. Perhaps they should install YD22DDTI 139hp 230lb.ft 5spd manual on the small variants; VX, Shuttle, Escapade then YD25DDTI high power 171hp 297lb.ft 6spd manual or 7spd auto on the bigger variants; Premium, Estate. Yes they should make the Premium the same body size as the GL Grandia and add a new variant callef Estate as a competitor of the LXV Super Grandia. Just my thoughts.

I want the Urvan to win but I think Nissan really needs to refine the Urvan.
Some chooses the Urvan because of more and cooler A/C and A/C Vents and more comfortable riding experience due to less bounce from the suspension. Toyota cheaped in suspension
For the same price using a naturally aspirated 2.5 diesel engine, 5spd manual, I will get a 2.8 turbo charged Cummins diesel 6spd manual that sports softer seats - the Foton Toano. It is my money anyway.
To be honest I would love to love the Urvan but I think it's quite ugly. I find the Foton View Traveller much nicer even if the Traveller is a near-perfect HiAce copy (to be fair the Urvan also largely copies the HiAce's exterior but adds some ugly lines here and there).

I own this urvan and there is nothing premium about this van it's cramped for the driver and passengers for some one using it for tourist transport it's horrible with luggage the dash is noisy and engine noise is loud seats is narrow and they didn't put a light by the step to get so at night its a challenge the van is too tall to get in especially for elderly passengers and the drivers cabin is very tight ,the best things is the air-conditioning and it's not bad on fuel economy and now with the 2019 hiace is out this van is a failure I am.a disappointed nissan fan will never by another nissan vehicle again the build quality is very poor from floor carpet to seats material in cloth to roof it's better to buy a hiace or Chinese copy before buying this van but good video trying to make this van look good

I'm going to the Philippines Q2 of 2020 and was considering buying this van both for family and airport/seaport service for our AirBnB (Pension house) business. Was hoping to get a review from an owner's perspective and not the biased reviewers. For a few more thousand pesos added to the price we have decided to get the Toyota Hiace GL grandia 2020, which so far had great reviews.
@@KMacFNP it my pleasure to give my honest opinion, I had to make leather covers for my seats and install extra lights in the roof and the side step and I will lower the suspension slightly at the front its a pain to get in and out for the driver and front passenger. Hiway driving the engine screams as its only 5 gears should be a 6 speed. Here in Barbados taxi operators are given duty free concessions when they purchase and its every 5 yrs so I have another 2 before I change I can't wait. No one world wide should buy Nissan vehicles utter junk from cvt transmissions to horrible build quality, I am glad I was able to help don't want anyone making the same mistake I did

I have a friend who's been a mechanic for 40 years who advised me not to buy anything CVT at this time. Perhaps in the next few years the technology will be perfected. But he said that this type of transmission fails easily and you are left in the middle of the road without any other recourse but to have your vehicle towed. He said "whoever invented a transmission that is belt driven is an idiot" (his exact words) LOL! I would rather drive stick than a CVT if that's the case. But going back to the Nissan Urvan 350 "premium", I would take your advise and go Toyota Hiace instead.
