Sakana does really manage to recruit the best, least sane, perfectly distilled sad girls. His sense for talent is on point.

I really do hope that the JP Talents see some more recognition soon. The numbers aren't the best..
The main thing with the JP girls besides Clara, is the fact that they're in the MOST saturated and competitive market for Vtubers, and thats not even counting Hololive and Kurosanji. Hell even indies like Shigure Ui have more fans than theres people in all of Phase's fandom.

@@ugib8377 The way to grow in today's saturated Vtuber market of Japan is to make connections with already established Vtubers, be it indie or corpos, and do a collab with them to get fans to know you. The question is if Sakana or any of the girls has any of those connections to help them grow. The other option is to advertise, be it on TH-cam or on the streets of Akihabara where most of the Vtuber watching audience in Tokyo goes on a regular basis, but that costs a lot of money to do on a regular basis because everyone wants to advertise in Akihabara.
Something tells me that JP girls are just as crazy, but the language barrier protects us most of the time. I have seen Yuu having her moments

People think Phase Connect is a black company when it's actually an orange company; The color of insanity.
Next episode: Lia gets banned from the community.
Then in the coming episodes we see how both turn depressing, then try reconcile but struggle because it's awkward and finally at episode 13 when some other company tries to get Lia in their claws, they confront each other again.
Fishboss realizes that Lia will get scammend and expose the black company who tried to scam her.
Then they make both a "Serious Punch" and one shot the baddies away and everything is fine again.
That would happen if this was all just some kind of drama anime.
However, this is reality, so everything is fine.

I like Tenma. She's abit shrill and has a temper. But she's cool. Same with Pippa. She's also pretty cool. I don't know anything about their company. They probably do suck in their own way.
Phase Connect is unironically among the top 3 vtuber companies rn to be in. All of the girls' lives have improved according to them, no one is leaving and the only one that got fired, got fired for skipping the company's cut via backroom donations, which she fully admitted fault for.
Most are joking and shitposting when the company is bad and a black company.
When yhe girls get real, you can see they treat each other like a group of weird sisters
@@Thunderstyle7Apparently the "cutting phase connect out" was confirmed as bogus by someone with insider information. Zero comment on its authenticity. Nothing is confirmed but I always got the feeling that the Yuri situation was down to money. Based on what Lumi said about Sakana trying to keep her onboard, I guess that she asked for a larger cut and was simply told no and they parted somewhat amicably. Maybe the "black" donations played a part in it (phase asked for it back, she said no) if they're real in the first place. No idea, the entire thing never got a resolution and likely never will.
I'll bat for phase any day but the biggest shitty thing they did was keep the rights to the model. Specifically because Yuri signed over the IP to begin with. Maybe there's some legal issue with merch if they transferred the IP back but I bet it was a main reason for having all the new invaders debut with a new model (regardless of PL, though I don't think any actually had a PL) rather than the original intention behind invaders. It was also probably a big motivator for the Lumi model update I'd think.
When that's the only black mark on your 3 years (from today :D) of reputation, you're probably doing something right.
