Fxxk Yeah Man! Finally someone who is not afraid to dig in and feel what is played! I really like your style in general. Great Playing, great feel, great taste! keep it up! Btw the mooer micro 012 (ex- fried mien) may be something for you too. I love mine and barely touch my tube-head for home recording ever since i got it. cheers from Germany
Hi man and happy new year! To be close to jcm 800 sound (I'll boost with sd1 to have Zakk Wylde style) better this 019 or 02 jcm900? I had 02 in the past but maybe I remember too middle frequency...Thanks and good luck for all!
Thanks and likewise! It’s been quite a while since I did these Mooer - videos and don’t have the pedals anymore but they’re both Marshall emulations so can’t go wrong with either of them. I’d probably go with 900 one 🤟.
Direct to interface is what I am looking for. Nice review. No loud mouth BS hype like it is WWE or something. One thing I think people will be wondering though : Did you try a TS808 or any other pedals before it? I wonder if this would respond to pedals better than an amp plugin would. Boost pedals running hot into an interface's DI does not work so well. I have the Aliexpress page open wondering if I should buy, or spend more for a Iridium etc. I have a Laney amp I run with a Two Notes Captor, but i do not like putting wear on my valves just for practice. The Mooer Phaser and Fuzz pedals I imported to NZ for my nephew were really good pedals, so no worries there. They sound good and seem well made. By the time this arrives the lock down should have moved down a notch, so we can get non essential items. I do not mind. We have got off very lightly here so far by moving to quarantine when we had hardly any cases. All the best everybody.
@@EugeValovirta230V I just got it. Works like a a charm for sure. I can not use an amp here and have tried so many modellers like GT10 and HD500x, etc, etc. High gain sounds were good, but their Plexi sound was never convincing. This cheap little pedal actually is. It even has that thing where a Plexi does not let you get away with crappy picking like modern hi gain amps or most modelling does. It also has that clarity in the high end, instead of fizz. I am still tempted by the GE300, but I am not sure I would use many of its features. I use plugins for delays and reverbs. P.S. A working Maestro EP-3 just got listed here in NZ for about a third of what they go for in the USA. I am slightly short of the buy now price, but have enough to make the reserve price. They sound amazing, but I am not sure I would want to use it much, because they are almost museum pieces now and need to be treasured and looked after, instead of being played to death. I am trying to ignore the auction.
@@EugeValovirta230V A week later I got a JMP50 clone that I run into Two Notes. The amp definitely has a low end to it etc that models do not. But this little Mooer was the most convincing model I have tried so far. The next most convincing for me has been a free plugin by Le Pou. The Plexi plugin that comes with UA gear is supposed to be good, but I do not have UA gear, I have an Audient iD14. I also recently tried the Line 6 Helix native demo. I did not like the Plexi model at all. Sounded okay for crunching chords, but single notes broke up in a nasty way. Maybe I had to tweak it like the Helix ppl always say. Nah. if it's not right out of the box, then screw 'em I say.
I recently bought a 019 mooer and in my opinion it has too much bass/muddy on channel 2, with the gain setted at 12 o'clock. If I increase the gain above 12 o'clock, it feels like I'm playing a bass amp. I have to practically way down the bass knob and push it with a Boss SD1 to get an acceptable sound. Does this happen with your Mooer 019?
Glad to hear that! The UK Gold will remain the backup preamp for Cyhra since my main preamp is the Friedman BE-OD and the UK Gold is pretty much the same \m/. But this PLX is awesome for pure rawk n roll! And beyond ;-)
Sounds great my friend!!!! 🤘🏻❤️
Thanks!

Thanks man!
Yeah it’s a cool pedal also 👌🤟.
These pedals are awesome
Siiick feel man!❤️🤘🏼
Yeah! Thanks! 🤘
I'd love to see you review their 'Mesa' pre amp pedal. The Cali I think it's called??
I’m planning to to review more of Mooers in the future and that’s one of them 🤘😊
Good, they seem to have alot of interesting stuff out.
Very cool euge you reviewed most or all of these I trust you opinion even if I have to read between the lines :) 💪💪🤟🤟
Thanks! 😎👌

Hi! Yes I’ve used this with 808 and SD-1 and it works like a charm. Well...like a Plexi amp 😊👍.

Can it do metal if you boost it with an overdrive pedal?
Depends what kind of metal sound you're looking for. It won't be like let's say 5150 but obviously more of a "British old school kinda" - metal sound.

I can’t remember anymore since it’s been so long since I did this video and I borrowed the pedal from a local music shop.
I was hoping you were going to try this out eventually! So is it bumping the UK gold as the back up preamp?
