- Iron Maiden finally released a part of their massive Wacken Open Air 2023 live concert. Overall Iron Maiden released a 30 minute-long footage from their fourth-coming to the Heavy Metal’s holy ground, containing 5 live tracks and a series of exclusive interviews taken before the show, praising the festival for everything they do for Metalheads worldwide.
So let’s take a look at that live concert, discuss some of the awkward moments from it, and then see what it means for Iron Maiden’s future. Here you go!

The only song I could see them dropping from these 5 is Madness. I was also reviewing the Stranger in a Strange land video the band uploaded to their channel and it said "Filmed in the past, see you in the future" I think releasing a dvd or live video mixing footage from the 2 legs of the tour fits the overall theme quite well
Yes, especially if they change the setlist a bit, so they can make it longer or have "extras" for the physical release

I doubt it. They've kind of shown there's no value in physical bluray sales anymore by releasing them all on TH-cam for free. I'll be very happy to be wrong about this though
My streaming isn’t as good picture or sound of a blu ray movie. I noticed just casually watching both.
Must admit I’m still abit bummed out that we haven’t gotten a proper live DVD of the Legacy Tour and the Maiden England tour! Almost seems like no one remembers the Maiden England tour which is sad cos in my opinion it’s one of the best of the 2000s/2010s Maiden era tours!
If they do release an official DVD of the Future Past tour, they should do it the same way as Rock In Rio and Death on The Road. By that I mean, All filmed and recorded on the same day and most importantly the same mixing engineer as sonically those two releases are two of the best Maiden Live albums when it comes to sonic quality.
I found the Book of Souls tour release to be incredibly disappointing (the artwork for it is particularly bad, why they went for the 3D CGI, I will never know as in my opinion, Eddie looks like a reptile/frog) and the constantly cross fades from song to song does put me off listening to it also.
The Legacy live album was also poorly executed if you ask me as there was some definite post production work which is really noticeable. And for me the worst of all… No Live DVD/BluRay release! Arguably the best Maiden stage set they’ve ever done yet there is No Visual Release of the whole thing besides the Vlog clips online. Such a shame.
Since this is such a special tour to us fans, We need a Proper high quality DVD/Bluray Release of the whole show that’s well put together and most importantly well mixed!
Maybe i will see them when they come to Vegas! 🤞

In this channel @bazwoldartist there is a few songs, not the best sound quality but hey is something.
The only song I watched before seeing this video was "The Writing on the Wall" and I agree about the sound - the drums were too low in the mix throughout!

They are getting old and might not go on tours for so many years more, so if you can go see them...they are still awesome and im very sure Iron Maiden wont become same joke as Kiss, Guns or Motley Crue so when its over its over

I hope they release live-stuff with a good production. I don`t like official live-releases which sound like a bootleg. This happened to often in the last ten years.
Yup, a proper DVD/Blueray with proper production would be ideal
Hopefully they don’t use the guy who did the Legacy live album, overall it wasn’t great, but my biggest gripe with it is the crowd sounds fake. The volume is clearly manipulated and it doesn’t even sound like a crowd singing along to songs, it just sounds like generic crowd noise audio files. It’s disrespectful, especially when it was a Latin American crowd which would’ve made plenty of natural noise, and that producer should never be allowed near Maiden or the fans ever again.
@@CoffeeMatt10 Agree. Legacy and Book Of Souls Live Chapter both sounded really lazy. En Vivo! was the last live-album I enjoyed.

”Can I Play With Madness?” must be one of the worse Maiden songs ever. ”The Clairvoyant” is millions times better.

It's not one of the worst, but it surely overstayed the setlist. There are better songs from 7th Son, or many 3:30 songs that fit even better in a concert.

Dickinson has the worst case of lead singer's disease. Why can't he keep quiet during the instrumental sections? God knows how annoying it must be for the likes of Adrian Smith, having Dickinson prattling away nonsensically and mugging for the camera whilst Smith is playing a solo. How Steve Harris puts up with him, God only knows.
