The whole "flip the chest panel to the side so you can go prone lower" thing is so stupid obvious and yet somehow I never thought of it before. Thanks for that.
Hey brutha I really appreciate all the information you put out. I’m a civilian who’s just trying to better myself and run gear and train properly. You have really helped me out immensely and are easily one of the best channels on this platform. I really appreciate you man.
Can you do a video on some of you rifle setups? Its entertaining to watch, Mainly Id love to see your thoughts on rifle barrel lengthes, applications, Laser setups etc. Like "Which guns is in my rotation 2021" Kinda video.
Esstacs are fine. Personally I find the importance of being able to compress (in awkward positions or prone) the mag pouch more important than kydex keeping them open for reindexing a mag.
where can i can get those female clips that are on your plate carrier so i can attach it to my plate carrier and clip in and use a micro fight mk4 as my mag holders/admin pouch
Are there environments you would be concerned about dirt/mud etc. interfering with your front velcro when you go prone by popping your equipment off to the left? And what was the name of that front panel? I'm interested in seeing if it would work with my Airlite SPC.
@@musicman1eanda It isn't a feature, it's literally un-doing a buckle then moving it to the side. This can be done with pretty much every panel that uses a buckle.

@@KineticConsulting hey I checked outthe perroz stuff, their called S&S Precision pull tabs. appreciate all the content you put out it's the little shit like those pull tabs that make all the difference.
As a civilian, I'm always wondering how necessary it is to have bungee retention on mags. A number of guys who served run bungee retention on their mags, and I feel like that's probably necessary if you're in a adrenaline riddled, life or death situation. How vital is this to you? Do you lose mags from your placard easier than most might think in a gun fight?
I don't run bungee retention (if you don't count the HSGI taco pouches as bungee retention) Only time I ever seen the need for bungee retention in the army was for airborne operations. If you stay on the ground it's not necessary IMO.
I ran bungees occasionally but it isn't necessary 99% of the time. Just make sure the retention is decent. Only pouches I've ever had serious retention problems with is blue force gear.
@@KineticConsulting Any experience with ShotStop plates? I've seen some sketch ballistic results/deformation w/ Hesco in various tests online (same with DFNDR, mostly insane deformation). ShotStop seems to be pretty impressive, especially with the GBRS Group test they did not too long ago: th-cam.com/video/DV7wIbM9MP4/w-d-xo.html John from WPS did a test on them too I believe and they did really well. Do you run DFNDR/Hesco b/c you know people that have been shot wearing them and they worked well or is it just b/c everyone on TH-cam seems to run them? The tests I've seen online aren't impressive. ShotStop seems superior. You have actual combat experience, so....Thoughts?
@@jrgfox I've been wondering the same thing about my 3810s. My current opinion is that they're probably good enough for 99.99% of situations. The main advantage of the lvl4s is just the armor penetration protection.

I would flip mine to the front without unclipping a buckle and it was always in my way. Never thought to go to the side. Just leveled up.
Just that little tidbit alone was enough for a like from me. You're right, it's so obvious but I hadn't seen it either

If you're doing the recce right you shouldn't be fighting.

Why not just use the safelight FRAS if you want all around protection
