That free throw comment made me spit my drink out 🤣🤣 … I would love to own a classic … my fav is the c3 corvette .. around the early 80’s same era… but I could buy a brand new corvette for what a decent restomod would cost now 🙈
That first photo reminded me of The Andy Griffith Show Barney's Physical where he has to gain heighth and weight to keep his job. They strung him up in a similar fashion. Opie made a little money charging his friends to see.

There’s a couple of great early 70’s documentaries and it’s amazing … There wasn’t even proper barriers and the crowd could just walk on and talk to drivers during pit stops 🤷🏼♂️

I enjoyed the photo of the boys jumping off a roof with an umbrella and that didn't seem to be crazy or really dangerous, especially at their age, but did they grow up to become more ''sensible'' adults than those men ''passing the time away'' in Fort Sheridan???
