Doubling the daily script limit doesn't help one bit if most of the events and enemies drop one 1 star legendary item. -_- I had an inventory FULL of 1 star weapons and armor. 5 script for weapons and 3 script for armor. The events just don't drop 3* and 2* as much as they used to. You have to play non stop, do every event and hope the good events pop up that drop multiple legendary items. And you have to balance that with completing your daily score tasks. lol.
TBH what I have been doing is crafting SS armour to get Unyielding, ideally 3 stars and storing them have about 35 pieces so far to scrap them. The undesirables I sellback, rinse and repeat.
That's one way to store items to scrap, but it doesn't use up legendary cores. I would do that with spare legendary modules, but you should prioritize re-rolling while it's still possible.

Same here. It was the perfect time for me to get my Unyielding SS. Got all 5 3 star pieces within 65 modules and there's only 1 i need a better roll on.
with such high AP cost for the enclave plasma, what are the best stars to get for it? With a flamer mod, Quad doesnt really anount to much, so what do u suggest?
If you play at low health bloody is always good for the max damage boost. But anti-armor is great for full health and that effect is always good against bosses. The second stars tend to be critical damage, and -25% AP. Then suck down a dozen coffee before you fight a boss and kill them in record time LOL.
1 to 1 seems like a slap in the face. Least they could do is let us turn them into the scrip vendor for 1 to 5 counting against your daily script limit. On a side note. do buy legendary modules as they are 50 script live but will be 100 when Mile Post comes out.
I just started playing and this was very helpful! I only had enough cores to do 2 stars on my fixer, and got explosive and vampiric, should I save up and re roll for 3 stars?
Vampiric Explosive in your first roll? Talk about beginner's luck LOL. Keep that weapon, that's almost a god roll. But it's also a good idea to get a fixer and make it a 3 star, regardless of what the legendary properties are. The reason is that it'll become much more expensive, 7.5 times in fact, to turn a normal weapon like a fixer into a random 3-star legendary. If you're short on cores right now you can get them from public events. If I was you I'd focus on getting whatever weapons I want in the long term, e.g. fixers, into being 3 stars regardless of the legendary properties.
No, it's been unofficially known for a long time but it's also been officially confirmed. Most people want at least 1-1 with modules but it looks like the devs don't want that.
Let me guess you're on console? I've heard that the crashes are pretty bad. I also have some problems when I'm the leader, so I just run them solo unless someone else creates a group.

I would love to use my Cores but for some reason, every Legendary I've been getting from events for the past 2 weeks have been 1 Star and I'm not about to grind hundreds of 1 Stars for Script to convert into a few Modules. Something is going on... Guess they'll just turn into Script on Sep 3 _😔😔_
Why so many people hung up on cores? They are a nothing burger! I haven't once thought about cores since the system came out lol. People should only be concerned with modules. I have 1500 rn, thinking I will burn 1200 just before update on ss armor gauss pistols ect.
Its because cores are easy to get in large amounts but their value was higher than modules. But now they are turning them into a less valuable crafting currency. For example people who have over 1000 cores are home be given 1000 modules, even though the two things arent equal. So the best thing to do is make them equal by spending cores now.
Interesting points about Fallout 76. -- It is amazing this update is getting so much attention and various ideas to get the most out of things. Survival, grinding and resources management seems to be a new sport through Fallout 76. ---- On a similar set of topics, changes keep happening. and the West Virginia semi-Wastelands are getting very complicated. How much is needed to rebuild USA? Given the state of complicated resources apparently run by robots, and many types of money, then ideally there should be guides or formulas of best practices, perhaps in the game as part of the story, or printed up on paper. In context of Fallout being a real place, it is still a mystery who is really running the legendary cores, scripts, automated vendors and so on. The story game does not explain who and how they are plausibly kept up. And now all players need to become like resource managers, and get more training. As an example to stay in character of game, the dwellers need more training after the Vault 76 guides. Maybe there could be a new event that gets the Vault Tech University up and going, with robot professors, advanced labs, new maps and research. They could even use VR Googles to learn new lessons. What that be ironic to have your charter do simulations of learning as you play the character within the Fallout game /sim ?
The end of that video would have been a great opportunity to show people that you can click on the Mothman when he arrives to get the XP bonus but... you didn't. Also, what is up with your Tesla rifle? They are awesome in VATS.

After the change all re-rolling will not be possible. You can make normal weapons into legendaries, but the only way to change a legendary is via the new crafting system.
You’ll still be able to attach the legendary mod boxes to them, they aren’t going anywhere and you’ll still be able to craft legendary effects on to them, just if you scrap one you’ll have to get another from the enclave bunker or from the Dropped Connection event.
couldn't i just craft as many weapons that are cheap as I possibly can then hold all of them in my inventory then when the update happens i scrap ALL of them which will then let me learn box mods.
That's definitely an option but I'd recommend focusing on getting a good three star on a weapon you really want. I'll be making a video covering the entire legendary crafting process plus recommendations before the change, but after the new update it'll be much more expensive to make a particular type of weapon into a three star legendary and re-rolling will disappear. It'll be a lot more difficult to get a legendary with 2 out of three stars that you can convert into a god-roll via the legendary crafting system.

Everybody I've talked to has told me not to trade in my legendary modules and cores. Because they're going to give us our Fair one to one exchange rate for the ones that we do have and then afterwards we can go about our business and build weapons like we're supposed to after they reprogrammed it
There's a lot of just incorrect information floating out there. Let me give you the facts: - 1 Legendary Core will become 1 scrip. Not one module, 1 scrip. - Rolling an item into a legendary will cost 15 modules to make something 3-star. Now it's 5 cores & 4 modules. - Re-rolling legendaries will not be possible after the update. To me it's obvious that you should be rolling new legendaries and re-rolling to get 1 or 2 good stars.
Bethesda don't ever keep their word, look at the vampire plasma explosive they promised if you already owned on it would not be removed, well they kind of kept there word they just took away the star holding the explosive. its all about money and profit from the atom store now. seems anything that is good is removed, i.e nuclear winters, the ability to nick your npcs costumes ect. better they focused on the bug fixes instead of this kind of crap.
Why worry? If the LC's are getting turned into scrip, it wouldn't really be any negative to holding onto them. Plus if you really think, some players will likely hit the scrip limit just from their LC's turning into scrip. This is the only reason why you'd want to use any. Otherwise, it would be smarter to just keep them and then convert the scrip into 3 star weapons from Murmrgh after the update. Even if you only have 200 cores, that's 2 legendary weapons.
Well, if you have your own method that works for you then you should follow it. As long as you're making an informed choice then it should work for you.

I'm doing expeditions as much as I can manage and I'm turning those into modules. Don't worry if you can't spend all the cores, just focus on the items you really want to make legendary and keep for the future.
eviction notice doesn't give that many legs anymore. i did it 3 times now and got 6 max on one run. just do the boardwalk expedition over and over and you will get many legs.

It's not really a bad exchange rate, cores are going away! Instead of them just disappearing from your inventory you get scrip. Most people have thousands of cores, an extra 4k scrip sounds great to me!
Question so are you sure if I roll a fixer and should have only 2 stars I’ll be able to put a third one on or I have to already have 3 stars on it meaning 2 stars would be better not 3
Make sure you're rolling for a three star legendary, the only way to go from two stars to three stars is to randomize all the stars. What I meant when I talked about getting two good stars was that you should aim for two good stars out of three. Make sure that any legendary you really want is three stars before Milepost Zero comes out, it's a major pain to make a 1 or 2 star into a three star.
It's not a bad trade off or waste. After Sept 3rd it will use scrip to put mods on weapons/armor, not modules. You'll need scrip for that. Why not stock up on cores so you get as much scrip as possible? Rerolling SS Armor is better than crafting them. You're guaranteed a 3 star every time.
Do you have end-game armor like secret service, BOS recon, or civil engineer? Or end-game PA like Union's? Then you should try and get two good stars on those types of pieces before the update happens.
That's what I heard, and from a dev, but now they're saying scrip. They didn't like the idea of people being able to afford anything I guess and want everyone to grind together, and for longer
Nope , since the beginning they Turn into Scrip ! But we get modules instead cores from Public Events with the Update , its much easier to get modules .
It's got a cursed effect that IIRC gives it extra damage and faster fire at the cost of more condition loss. You can also re-roll the legendary effects while keeping the cursed effects. Holy Fire and Branding Iron have similar cursed bonuses.
The main thing that I’m keeping in mind is how hard it’s going to be to craft each one of the Star Effects. The ways it’s looking is, the lower the Star is (3rd Star lower down than 1st Star), the more expensive it will be to attach that Mod to the weapon. So what I’m looking for are the desired 2nd and 3rd Stars primarily (3rd being most important again) on the Weapon or Armor I want, then all I have to do is focus on getting the the Recipe or having that Mod drop or show up in a Vendor. The biggest thing that we need to know asap is the “extra” requirements we need to craft each effect. I know we need 5 X-Cell for Unyielding and an Adrenal Reaction Serum for Bloodied, but the full OFFICIAL list before hand would be nice so we can start farming them.
Yes, going for great 2nd and 3rd stars will give you the most benefit. Modules for the first stars will be the first ones to be learned and available for sale. Third stars will be the rarest.
@@SequentialGamerFallout and the cost for the 1st Star is progressively better than the 3rd Star. I believe it’s 10 Modules for 1st Star, 20 for 2nd Star and 30 for 3rd…..or something along those lines anyways. So cost wise, it’s beneficial to only have to “re-roll” the 1st Star if possible.
They are removing LEGENDARY cores, wouldn't it be possible to give gold bars or equivalent Legendary crafting fragments instead? Think about the time and materials we spend on event quests. When you calculate, don't forget that it's a big cake. The cake is really big. It's like they suddenly hit your hand and drop it, and all your efforts are in vain. The Fallout creators ate the cake that fell to the ground. I'm sending a dry applause to the Fallout developers from here. I wonder who thanked them in the last update article. This is not normal. I equate it with the same value as stealing candy from a child's hand.
I don't think this is a good idea. It's going to eat modules, which is the main thing you need for crafting now. Also, in the latest pts update, they re-enabled the ability to legendary craft holy fire, elders mark, etc
All I see is complaining. It looks to me like everyone just wants to make godrolls with zero effort. Legendary Cores were a badly designed currency and I’m glad they are switching to only modules.
Just in case anyone is still questioning whether the 1:1 exchange rate is really so bad, I just had a swift look on the current scoreboard's last page. Legendary Cores are valued at 5 cores for 75 tickets. Legendary Scrip is valued at 100 scrip for 75 tickets. So, by Bethesda's own pricing logic, the exchange rate SHOULD be 20 scrip for every core. Just thought I'd share that little snippet.
But they are turning into script at a 1:1 ration which is bullshit cores to script should be like 1:5 or 1:10. My 212 cores shouldn't be just 212 script that's highway robbery.
Low key showing off LOL. But at least the scrip limit will be raised up to 11k so you should be able to get plenty of random legendaries after the change.
For veteran players, cores are less than worthless so it doesn’t matter that the “exchange rate” you mention is bad. For new players, cores are certainly valuable, but new players aren’t hitting the scrip cap and aren’t don’t have a surplus of modules. Sorry but this is really bad advice.
Might be worth putting in a bug report. I'm still seeing a small bit of lag, even though it's better overall, so they might still be working through that. But it won't hurt to let them know via a bug report.

Long as it is mostly legendary weapons and armor. Wait till update. And scrap all you do not use yourself unless they are really close to a complete roll you want on a weapon. My stash weight is going to dip drastically after all this and I am all for it.
I thought that named legendaries would become re-rollable, rather than what you suggest.
Re-rolling itself will not be possible. From what I understand the unique legendaries like Holy Fire that can be re-rolled will not be taken away when the update happens. But I'd re-roll them now if you want one with custom legendary properties.
@@SequentialGamerFallout Ah, yes. But they become capable of being modified in the same way as other weapons., so the current fixed set of legendary properties can be changed.
Good idea about the Secret Service armour, I made a bunch of left arms and recycled the ones with unwanted legendaries, have also made a few Gauss Pistols, but they're less of a bargains at two modules each. Mostly collecting the effects I want to be able to craft (if I'm lucky).

Woahhh… We’re losing the ability to re-roll? What?? There goes any plans to get overeaters T-65…
This is tje first ive heard that we wont be able to reroll our legendaries having to craft something from scratch eachtime sounds ridiculous
And you have to balance that with completing your daily score tasks. lol.
Fuck this and fuck the new scoreboard, Bethesda.
Woot!
@@SequentialGamerFallout No the cores is used to make bloodied weapons. Also when I visit player bases I buy anything bloodied or unyielding, this mostly for learning plans etc when the update launches. I'm keeping all 3 stars and modding them with the ultra light mod. Each item takes up like .6 lbs. I have about 400 pieces of just SS boots and arms.
Same here. It was the perfect time for me to get my Unyielding SS. Got all 5 3 star pieces within 65 modules and there's only 1 i need a better roll on.
@@Dazzxp if you craft ss as I'm doing you will not spend your cores...
There are 2 teams that work on content. One team has rerollable weapons, the other team does not.
with such high AP cost for the enclave plasma, what are the best stars to get for it?
I wonder if it's a typo of 1:1... did they mean module instead of scrip?
No, it's been unofficially known for a long time but it's also been officially confirmed. Most people want at least 1-1 with modules but it looks like the devs don't want that.
I would farm expeditions to finish off my cores but we all know why I can’t do that.
Let me guess you're on console? I've heard that the crashes are pretty bad. I also have some problems when I'm the leader, so I just run them solo unless someone else creates a group.
I farm the expeditions also, only I noticed you don't get cores anymore.
I think between all my characters I think I have about maybe 100+ core on each of them
It’s not a lot but I see it as try and do more events to get more out of them when the time comes

What do you mean about the enclave weapons not being rerollable?
After the change all re-rolling will not be possible. You can make normal weapons into legendaries, but the only way to change a legendary is via the new crafting system.
You’ll still be able to attach the legendary mod boxes to them, they aren’t going anywhere and you’ll still be able to craft legendary effects on to them, just if you scrap one you’ll have to get another from the enclave bunker or from the Dropped Connection event.
I haven't seen eviction notice in about a month
Yeah, now that you mention it that's true it's been pretty scarce. But I'm guessing they're tweaking it and it'll be back after the update.
couldn't i just craft as many weapons that are cheap as I possibly can then hold all of them in my inventory then when the update happens i scrap ALL of them which will then let me learn box mods.
If your new use them, if you already have every best gun in the game save them. Your welcome
Use them how?
@@juanbautista7204
If you do not have a lot of "junk" guns that have rolls that will be great to have a chance to learn then get them now. But if your sitting on a mother load of guns then just wait and sit on all the cores and script you have plus everything you'll earn till the update comes out. 😉
Let me give you the facts:
- 1 Legendary Core will become 1 scrip.
With 200 legendary cores you can CRAFT 200 ss armors. Or after the update you can buy 2 modules.
Your choice, more now or less later.
Problem is: i have olready my setup, and waiting for the update to change some stars so rerolling stuff means only loosing legendary modules
Well, if you have your own method that works for you then you should follow it. As long as you're making an informed choice then it should work for you.
Legendary cores 550+ legendary modules 50+ which means all week grinding modules on top of mothman equinox event only adding more cores. Any further suggestions on what directions to take. The equinox event I've only obtained a chill mask plan and a few moths for a display I don't even have yet. I'm level 700+ and a big collector. I feel extremely overwhelmed right now.
i have 2603 cores and i dont see how to use them. I can never get enough modules to match the cores, any thoughts?
I'm doing expeditions as much as I can manage and I'm turning those into modules. Don't worry if you can't spend all the cores, just focus on the items you really want to make legendary and keep for the future.
Since when are they taking away the ability to roll re roll Enclave Plasma weapons?
All re-rolling is disappearing with the new update. You'll have to tweak each star individually.
eviction notice doesn't give that many legs anymore. i did it 3 times now and got 6 max on one run. just do the boardwalk expedition over and over and you will get many legs.
Really? Before the change? I know it'll be nerfed after the Milepost update but now it should still give quite a lot of legendaries.
Did eviction notice earlier picked up 12 not nerfed yet
Boardwalk is timed, so if you bluescreen, not only do you get screwed with time, if you bluescreen at the end, you can't finish. Do flooded, it's just as fast, and no downsides.
Does using vats count as "aiming" for the legendary effect?
Unfortunately no, it looks like VATS is technically shooting from the hip.
1 scrip for 1 core…I hate scrip and the whole scrip exchange. I usually end up getting junk on top of junk.
After the Update you need Scrip to add legendary boxes to weapons .
i have 1000+ legerady cores , still dont now how to use
I'm using them up by rolling new legendaries on items I want and re-rolling other legendaries to try and get two great stars.
Im yet to see the vid, but I arent cores only usable when crafting, together with modules?...so I think the only thing we can do is the same thing we allways did, which is crafting legendaries...but ok, now I will see to vid
@@SequentialGamerFallout ok so make sure it has three stars 2 I like and one I’d like to change but different 3 stars on the weapon
4900 Legendary cores here, 150 modules on me, 4225 scrip on me, no scrip left in the machine for today.
Hm how do You reroll only one of the stars?

Do you have end-game armor like secret service, BOS recon, or civil engineer? Or end-game PA like Union's? Then you should try and get two good stars on those types of pieces before the update happens.
You don’t even need to worry about it honestly.
Then it's almost pointless for you lol
Unless you have a good roll in 2 tries
Legendary Cores remaining in our inventory will turn into Legendary Modules after the update I believe.
What is special about elder mark I have script like 5 of them?
So you want us to waste scrip to mod stuff to make room for more scrip, at the moment I have no scrip so I need them cores converted
I hope the reason the script lament because I'm going to max out like three or four times.
Wouldn't I be wasting modules and why don't I want script? I would need modules and script after the update?
I have hundreds, maybe thousands of them, not sure which
Makes no sense to burn through script to use up your legendary cores when you are going to be able to turn your legendary cores into script.
They made more grind to cover their mistakes???They think all players are idiots???
I don't think this is a good idea. It's going to eat modules, which is the main thing you need for crafting now. Also, in the latest pts update, they re-enabled the ability to legendary craft holy fire, elders mark, etc
Scripts are more rare than cores, you can hop servers to get more legendary modules...so not big deal, in my opinion 😊

Legendary Cores are valued at 5 cores for 75 tickets.
Legendary Scrip is valued at 100 scrip for 75 tickets.
So, by Bethesda's own pricing logic, the exchange rate SHOULD be 20 scrip for every core.
