For me this one deserves! Minnesota was good but cmon you cannot deny the technicality in this performance is impeccable! The synchronicity and the hard level of choreography made this to the top! Plus the heart of each steps on this dance portrayed so much.
Msu absolutely had better technique, synchronization and level of difficulty lol… they won because the routine was emotionally driven instead of tricks
@@trip7002and bc Travis wall was paid who knows HOW much for his choreography, pathetic, they’re setting the new standard that all the training, travel, costumes aren’t enough, this shows that the judges also want 20k choreo as well. I was super underwhelmed, however I’ve seen enough of Travis Wall’s routines to know they’re all the same. Doesn’t quite have the same effect I’d imagine, and guess this is how he has to make a living after being shunned from Hollywood, etc. for a bit. This routine did nothing for me. Fake vibes, nothing against the dancers rather the choreography, and person behind it, doing it for cash, U of M’s was AMAZING, guess from now on they know to play it safe and higher Travis Wall 🙄🙄🙄
@@trip7002 i don’t think so i feel like if anything they’re at the same level no huge difference in technicality honestly i feel almost certain that all of these dancers couldve done dream on and vice versa
For people not understanding why this is a significant performance for OSU, look up their history with Frank Sinatra and their dance program. Twyla Tharp was a major name at both OSU and in the dance world
Lol what exactly was the "story" here? Someone has watched too much SYTYCD. You don't always need a "story". Sometimes it can be just about celebrating the glory of movement and the astonishing things dancers can do with their bodies.
Forgive me for asking but do these kids get to do any studying? I would love to see these kinds of championships in my country or perhaps across Europe.
Nope, they won bc Travis Wall choreographed it. End of. When ya don’t have the talent, buy the routine and the so called “feels” anyone familiar with Wall’s routines can see they’re all the SAME. So lame, lol!
this just looks like Travis Wall doing Travis Wall. Before I knew that he was the choreographer I said "this just looks like Travis Wall" and welp, it is.
I liked Minnesota’s better.. both were technical perfection, it was just the costumes and choreography tweaks that did it.. glad I’m not a judge though!
I feel like this routine needs props. They're excellent. I love how they mobbed out. Love how they told a story, but im wanting more out of this. I dont think they have a prop division do they.?Anyways. Kudos to creativity. Go Ohio! 💕👍🏽 Anyone know where they placed?
They definitely had the artistry down for this which is usually lost to acrobatics like MN, glad the artistry of dance won over the impressive tricks this time
yes, minnesota’s dance was technically harder but the people saying this clearly aren’t dancers themselves. Technique plays a part in the dance but dance is nothing without the raw emotion that is clear in Ohio’s performance… The use of clothes as props, the lyrics, the unison and the separation it all put Ohio on another level. They were untouchable after that level of emotion
MNN didnt win because the choreo was backward. U have to build. They literally put thr best part at the beginning. There was no climax. This wasnt as technical or even executed as well but, the routine built with the song.
They had a girl step out of bounds. about 1:26 on stage right (your left if you're watching from the audience). My guess is the technical deduction from that is what brought Ohio over the edge.
Minnesota wasn't robbed. The OSU girls are incredible dancers who also showed incredible techniques aside from just turns. Their heart and choreography were more innovative and Minnesota stepped out of bounds.
I can see why they won. It was more than just dance, it was also heart and that came through.
Geez! Why does EVERYTHING have to turn into an argument?!? How about “Congratulations Ohio! And Minn., your performance was incredible!”
I’m a huuuuuuge U of M fan but this just had all the feels for me
everyday i think about this performance
I will always keep coming back to this performance. Thanks tiktok!

@@Emm325this was a tribute to Twyla Tharp a very famous choreographer from OSU
there are multiple visible mistakes

This was a production ❤
This is inspirational and aspirational 🎉
For people not understanding why this is a significant performance for OSU, look up their history with Frank Sinatra and their dance program. Twyla Tharp was a major name at both OSU and in the dance world
Wow I didn’t know this! That makes it even better 😊
This performance gives me goosebumps every time.
I loved every second of this. And can you not hear the room? Do you hear the audience. This was great!
Lsu video brought me here. Had to see who could have POSSIBLY beat that. Maybe i dont know enough about jazz dance competition
So amazing ❤🎉
Minnesota was good, but what story was told? What emotion was shown? Great turns, but that’s it to offer?

@@lukasky03 well, good thing neither of us are judges. Ohio was better in my opinion , you think Minnesota was good in your opinion. Yay 😄😄😄
@@lukasky03 + a lot of people can do turns, not super amazing..
Minnesotas dancers were better trained… Ohio made better show choices. I go for the training, others for the program. Both were incredible
@@Orachrlotte You don't know anything about dance.
LSU - Not one crumb left..🔥🔥🔥
both them and minnesota deserved to win i can see how they win and if minnesota won i can see how they would win too
Minnesota’s performance brought me to tears. Ohio was beautiful but not nearly as synchronized or technical.
MN was incredible but this had uniqueness.
Was that a group quad?!?!
That was so hype
LSU won again . This is their 4th dance title.
Forgive me for asking but do these kids get to do any studying? I would love to see these kinds of championships in my country or perhaps across Europe.
They won because they actually danced and didn’t just turn all over the place
True, it wasn't just acrobatics

Wooooow i neeed the name of the coreographer. IT WAS AMAZING!!!!
Travis Wall
Travis Wall does basically this dance every time
Wow two great teams. I favour Minnesota but these guys were also great
I liked Minnesota’s better.. both were technical perfection, it was just the costumes and choreography tweaks that did it.. glad I’m not a judge though!
If u didn’t feel this in your soul, you wouldn’t understand why they won

Wow, LSU was really robbed of 1st place. LSU won hands down, but I think we all know why.
Oh they won? ❤🎉 I can see that. 👍🏽
yall are ridiculous honestly i liked this one better seemed to have a more cohesive theme and meaning than dream on and ik osu couldve done dream on
Cleary won. Not even cLOSE
Minnesota’s Jazz routine is world famous… because it was sooo much better! Merry Christmas OSU! You were given an obvious gift by the judges!

Just wish the one jacket didn't stick out for that one second when they flipped them
They were good, but Minnesota was better.
Yeah Minnesota is better
emotion over technique.
Better technical skills sure. But they’ve got nothing on the feeling and emotion in Ohios ❤ well deserved first place 🫡
Facts
I liked Minnesotas better but this was very good!!!!
I can't believe this won over UM!!!
I'm not a dance expert, but Minnesota was robbed, they definitely had more energy

And MN lacked build up. No climax. U can't put the best part at the beginning
Sorry, I think Minnesota was better., but I am definitely prejudiced.
no way this was better than Minnesota...good but not Nat Champs
dance should make you feel something. they were better at that
Minnesota lost to that routine 🤔🤔
You don’t get it til you get it.
Minnesota lost to this….? Mmmkay.
No fkn way they won. The song doesn't remotely fit the routine, LSU and Minnesota 10 times better.
A snooze fest 😴
That old music was too aged and boring as ever
Smooth brain
you must not follow the trends
Man, that's just the wrong music
