Thai roads can be very dangerous because some of them have shear drops on one side because they are mountain roads. From what I can understand, the road had collapsed and the car in front of Zee's dad's car and the car in front of them had fallen either off the side of the road and/or fallen into a ravine or valley. Zee's dad managed to stop their car before going mover the edge.
